Top notch customer service!
Top notch customer service!
Products are awesome and I have enjoyed it a lot!
I had importation issues and it was resolved only after few mails! Would definitely buy from them again if I need to gift one or two novelty toys to friends :)
Trust and Accountability
I feel bad shit talking this company before I've even gotten to test the products, but there is already kind of a mouthful of stuff to be said that I feel needs saying. I mean this is TrustPilot and really my issues are purely concerning trust and accountability.
Firstly: I found this site through a youtube creator I'm a fan of. He was offering a big giveaway with Closet and the deal honestly seemed fantastic. It was one of those where the more you spend the more you save so I like perfectly min-maxed my order to where I was saving $250!... I started to have some slight doubts... Like are these products going to be all that good? Why would their margins be so insane without the completely bonkers savings? Still, it all I felt like great deals for what I'm looking at. I seen they had other deals running. The first was for a Valentine's Day sale. Without playing a wild min-max game to save a whole $250 I put in for the same exact order using the Vday offer and saved...$100—It felt bad. I wanted the order. I did order the order. But then I got to walk away knowing the creator I was initially hoping to support a little definitely got shafted by this.
So next order of business: One of my items was on pre-order.
The checkout tells you: "In stock items will ship now, pre-order items will ship when available."
You pay and then you get an email saying " Your order will ship in full as soon as your pre-ordered items are back in stock! Once your order is shipped, we'll send you an email with your tracking information. You can check your order update in your profile by logging in to your Closet account."
I hate ordering a ton of stuff and then having no clue when anything is going to show up. Like I'd have just removed the pre-order item and got something else maybe if I knew I was going to be contadicted. I hit up the staff and they promptly responded, "We're not typically able to do this, however, we've gone ahead and split the order in two - all in-stock items will ship ASAP and the other item will follow as soon as its back in stock."
This is the resolve I want, sure, totally. I mean granted it took another 3 days for anything to actually be in transit (5 in total, but still nothing terrible)... Why not maybe acknowledge the issue and take some accountability? I'm not asking for special treatment. You're telling your customers one thing and then contradicting yourself in a shittier way afterwards and then we're just going to ignore all that and I get to be made like I'm supposed to feel special for complaining? How about something like, "Oh, we're terribly sorry we've had to change our policy on this and missed fixing the verbiage on our checkout! We cannot offer this in the future, but thank you for pointing this out and we will make sure your in-stock items are still shipped out right away!"
Sound like I'm maybe nitpicking a bit? Sure, but what are all the negative scores on TrustPilot from and what would solve them not being an issue? I see in your Terms and Conditions the duties and customs issues are disclosed. If this is a constant issue that's so completely out of your hands that you couldn't possibly take any accountability for it repeatedly; maybe when selecting a country outside the united states you just simply put this text there as a warning—if it's impossible to embed proper shipping calculators for some reason. The warning would fit perfectly right above or underneath the contradicting text I've already brought to your attention that's also still being ignored a week later.
This is honestly the kind of company I want to support and I don't think the oversights are super intentional, but there's a certain stretch to where you have to realize that people are noticing the fallbacks and that you're entirely accountable for them as a company. Like the issue I brought to your attention: 30 second fix. It'd have been done the second I seen a complaint about it and I'd have acknowledged it. The duties and tariffs thing being out of your hands: I came up with the band-aid solution I'd use while looking into a better permanent solution again in half a second. Like you'd have to be really dumb not to come up with this stuff in split seconds yourself, that is, unless, you have issues with taking accountability in general which seems to be blatantly apparent by a couple cases at least.

Awesome service but….
Great experience overall but like most of the bad revues their problems is always the shipping ,not their fault of course but maybee try another carrier cause the one thay have is really bad.I will buy again from them.
Never got the items
I never got the items because they got stuck in customs with a charge of around 2000$ which I couldn't disprove in time and they got sent back. I'd say tread carefully if you're outside the US! Also, I never got a receipt in the email, only an order confirmation.
Follow up: Regardless of the above, I have to commend them on their responsiveness and willingness to resolve issues. Never did they go MIA or were late to answer my emails!

Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. They tricked me into doing a duplicate order than when I alerted them they acted like I was wrong then shipped the item through I told them first not too then because they shipped it said nothing they could do but offer a gift card I never wanted. Just awful.

I placed my order on 13 January and still no news.
I placed my order on 13 January. The package tracking has been on hold since 15 January, and no news or delivery date has been provided.
I am now amending my initial review and rating in appreciation for Closet's prompt response and understanding that the delay and lack of information are not their fault. It is too soon to review the products; the four stars are for the support and service.

I really liked the products that were…
I really liked the products that were shipped. My mediocre score is mainly due to it not being clear to me as a Canadian shopper that I needed to pay duty to actually receive them. Had I known it was actually going to cost me $40 more I may not have bought as many items. I think having this be more transparent on the website would benefit customers

First purchase
First purchase from you so I'm getting to know you and the products you sell. Nice variety of products available.
Got a replacement for free in no time
I had an issue with the toy I received, but I got a replacement for free in no time.
Lost Time, Lost Money, No Products
Let me start by saying that I absolutely know how crucial reviews are to small businesses and I always support small businesses whenever I can. I absolutely do not understand why people treat you worse when you are kind and polite to them. Had I been an absolute thundercunt when I placed my order (in September) I would have had them by now.
Long story short, I placed an order in September that got rejected at import. They PROMISED me it's a one-off fluke and they'd send me a reorder. They never made it clear that they do not handle or pay for customs, and nobody from their shipping partner or even their side had forewarned me about this. So I'm supposed to use my imagination to figure out that I have to call some place to figure this out.
When I emailed them about the delay, they gave me the wrong number to call. After crawling through the web trying to find the correct number that doesn't just automatically disconnect I was informed that the reason I didn't get called about customs is because this should be paid by the shipper.
So I reverted back to them and they're like "oh no this is not on us but if you show us proof that you paid it we'll reimburse you" (as if that fixes the literal months of this shit-show). Lo and behold after being on hold with the delivery partner for a whopping 2 hours I get told that it's now been far too long as the import has been rejected and there's nothing I can do.
I swear, even if I live for another century I will never understand why people think it's okay to treat people like absolute shit when they're nice to you and make them run proverbial circles. My advice to anyone dumb enough to order from them outside the US is to steer clear and if you can't then be the biggest b1tch you can possibly be, or they will not help you.

Customer Care actually Cared, Pleasant experience
My original order was delivered with a missing piece. I submitted pictures as proof and they replaced it with a whole new order. I was impressed. Overall pleasant shopping experience and speedy helpful assistance from customer care.
The product itself seems well made and its not loud, which I really really like.
