By far one of the best garages I have…

By far one of the best garages I have used. We had problem with our Vauxhall insigina dashboard where the mileage would go to little lines and needles would drop off. We contacted cluster repairs uk and spoke to Andonis who was very helpful and kind. I was advised to fill a form online and send in the part. We paid in total £148 which included delivery and vat. When we received the part back we need some advice on installation. I contacted again and spoke to another man who spent 10 mins assisting me with installation. I cannot recommend them enough. Speedometer is working better than before, great job.

Emergency fix of car carried out in superb way
We arrived in UK, in a Belgian leased and registered car, which randomly started a massive fault with the electronics.
Within 20 minutes Cluster Repairs UK (Waltham Abbey ) diagnosed the problem with the instrument cluster.
Super customer focus and probably the best garage experience of our life. Its been a couple of weeks with a replacement instrument cluster which they installed and programmed for me in to the vehicle and had the mileage set to the original. Highly recommended and thanks again to the team, great job.

Irreliable - Poor Communication - Poorly Run

I was quite pleased to find this local company to have my cluster repaired. I initially called and spoke to them. They initially seemed quite helpful with providing a quote and explaining that this is not an uncommon fault for my vehicle. I advised I will contact him again in order to confirm a convenient time to drop off the vehicle. I called back to book my vehicle in and they requested I send an email (29/02/24) with my details in order to make it more official and get confirmation. A week later I never received the confirmation. So I followed up with an email (07/03/24) to which I never received a response. I followed this up with a phone call 11/03/24.They answered the phone and said they had been away and had lots of emails to catch up on. But we confirmed the booking verbally and took some details and asked me what I was quoted. We agreed I would drop off the vehicle as planned.
Inspite of the lack of email communication I gave them the benefit of the doubt assuming they are very busy.
The day of dropping off the vehicle: I arrive at around 9:30am at the Biz Space office complex. There was no one at reception. I ask around where I can find Cluster Repairs. A gentleman advised that there is a board with office numbers. Excellent! They are listed as being on the 1sr floor, Room 109. I make my way up and said gentleman lets me in to level 1. I go to the office and it is closed. It was a small office clusters on floor in the middle and work benches against the wall. I guess sufficient to fix electronics. Looks like a small business fair enough. I took a picture of the office through the glass window at 9:44 am to send to my wife who was waiting for me explaining no one is there. We agreed to wait till 11AM.
I go back down and wait at reception for someone to turn up. Whilst waiting another gentleman turns up who's equally been trying to contact Cluster Repairs to no avail. He asks around and nothing! I told him I've been waiting for an hour and have been up to their office and it was closed. While waiting someone asked me what I was waiting for; I explained and they went up to check for me.They came back to tell me no one was there from Cluster Repairs. They also told me it is often the case where customers turn up and there is no one there.
After a dozen calls that went unanswered by 11am I left as planned.
Having arrived home I thought I'd call again at 12:20pm. Hooray! The phone was answered. I was relieved and I explained what had happened this morning.They said they were let down by a lack of reception staff who would have informed them when customers are here. I explained that i'd been there for 1 1/2 hours! They turned! Customer service was out of the window and a complete lack of professionalism! They said they has been there all morning! Said and I quote 'You calling me a liar?!' I explained that I'm only telling them of my experience as a customer trying to use their business. They went off on one saying how busy they are, doesn't need my business and that they not only have a first floor office but premises on the third floor blah blah. (This is not indicated on the board of offices) I was gobsmacked by this reaction! At this point I'm afraid there was no way I would give my business to Cluster Repairs.
Unfortunately I hadn't read the negative reviews and these have a similar theme and mirror my experience. Look elsewhere! Save yourself time!

'I believe you spoke to X this afternoon regarding your failed appointment. Yes, you are right; we got it wrong. We use a 3rd party (BizSpace) for which we pay professional reception services. You should have been met and greeted by someone. Ask to park your vehicle at the back of the building and have your keys taken for us. This did not occur due to the lack of staff at the business centre all week. You are right to be frustrated and upset; our system in place did not work on this occasion. But my apologies; I have to add that we are not a dishonest company or individuals who have the need to make up lies. I can train staff to ignore this when a customer wants to insinuate that they are lying, but it is highly offensive. Again, our apologies; we need to do better.

Reply: Your member of staff lost it! You say from the audio? This suggests you record calls? FYI - You are failing to comply with GDPR as you are not obtaining consent. As you have already posted our email reply in your review, we really do not need to explain much more about what went wrong.
I have heard the phone call between you and our staff member, and I can confirm that although he was called a liar several times and our business was insulted a few times (we were not worth much more than the writing on a fag box you stated), he remained calm and professional at all times. It seems from the audio you wanted an argument, but he kept very calm and did not shout or insult you back.
We try to run a professional business at all times, but this event was out of our hands. We have already put mechanisms in place so this cannot occur again.

Where your review falls flat and your insults continue is in your fabrication that this is a common occurrence within our company.
We are in a business centre, and it is virtually impossible for a customer to be left unattended. Not including our own staff, the business centre has 3 staff members to serve everyone. This was a very rare occurrence after the bank holiday weekend.
You also mentioned another person who did not have an appointment but took a chance to deliver a repair to us.
He attended the same day and happily delivered his part to us for repair.

You also mentioned our store room/logistics room on a floor you did not have access to as our workshop. Our workshop images can be found on our website and viewed on an episode of the Smash Hit show "Wheeler Dealers" by Mike Brewer.

I agree that this morning, you were let down. We hope you can accept our sincerest apologies, but we were not notified you had arrived. We do not need to lie to you. We always try our best to uphold a very professional service and environment.

Cluster Repairs UK is a well established business in the UK serving the public and trade for several decades. We cover a vast range of instrument clusters, as far back from the 1950s to present day. We are busy and try our best to get in right all the time. Sometimes thing can go wrong. In this occasion we were able to make things right, as the customers verbal abuse and threats did not allow us too.

Great Experience

Great Experience, I turned up at the agreed time and they were there waiting and ready for me. Talked me through the process and were able to fix my car well within the agreed period. Absolutely delighted to have found this company and would recommend them to everyone to use.

Cluster Repairs have Genius innovative solutions superseding Main Dealers from all angles

Absolutely Astonished by the time and effort the team committed to repair a fault on my 2016 Land Rover Discovery cluster, they undertook comprehensive testing before this unit was returned to me as such the fault was eliminated and my vehicle was on the road again, if it wasn't for cluster repairs the main dealers would have had me on the ropes with their extortionate prices for diagnosis & repair costs!

Great service and comms

Sent my Porsche Panamera instruments …

Sent my Porsche Panamera instruments and 3 working days later it was returned to me repaired and now I've got it back in the car working fine. Saved me an absolute fortune and time taking it to a garage. Their level of expertise and level of customer service were exemplary. Highly recommended.

Great value, Great communication.

Great communication, easy, Uber fast, much cheaper than getting a replacement. Extremely helpful technicians on both of the numbers I called. Will be back for some custom work very soon.

Great experience, would recommend

Just wanted to call out that i had a very positive experience with cluster repairs.
Contacted the company and sent a video of the issue with my LCD motorcycle display. They had a good idea of the issue. Filled out the online form and sent my odometer recorded delivery.
Received a call to confirm its been received and expected timescales. They were a day or 2 longer but got confirmation that it was fixed and was sent back to me recorded delivery. Great packaging to keep it safe.
Would recommend

Backlight repairs

Slight misunderstanding with the timings as I posted my cluster on a Thursday delivery before 1pm Friday. As website shows business open Saturday morning I was assuming my cluster would be on day 5 by Wednesday.
I called on Tuesday to check progress and wa stold that day 1 was monday and it would be ready between 1-5 days . Explained my misunderstand and guy told me he would speak with workshop as my MOT was due following week. Wed Afternoon got a call, paid the money cluster arrived my house Thursday morning. Fitted and all working well. Can now see how fast I am going in the dark!!! Well pleased with the repair. Firts guy a little short on the phone but second guy was brilliant. Defo would use them agin but would confirm days

Could not ask for a better service
Could not ask for a better service. They received my dashboard on Friday lunchtime. Monday mot by 10.30am I had a email saying the dash had been completed, rebuilt and was on its way back to me. Cannot fault the customer service and speed! The gentleman on the phone was polite and very helpful in advising me what steps I should take. Thankyou Cluster repairs.

STAY AWAY-DON’T BOTHER

For 2 weeks, I have been trying to get in touch. After I was told to emails them the job details for a quote. Guess what, After 3 emails and numerous phone calls, No answer. Thanks for wasting 2 weeks of my time hoping that this company could help me. Disappointed big time

We do try our best to answer as many calls as we can but when we are busy you can easily leave a message on our answer phone and we can get back to you.

Fraudulent company

These guys used to be called SID Repairs International. They are part of Unicorn Automotive Limited but they deliberately deceived me by using "The Unicorn Automotive Group Ltd" on their invoice which meant when I took legal action against them I couldn't get it enforced because the wording was slightly incorrect. The company used to be based in Norfolk but they have moved to London. The directors are the same people. At the time I had my problem, they would never answer the phone and never answered emails. The warranty I got for my repair was therefore useless. I had to have the unit repaired again by a different company who confirmed that Unicorn Automotive had used an inferior ribbon cable and that they were receiving several units that had been repaired by Unicorn and had malfunctioned again. If you do buy from them, make sure you use a credit card and make sure that the company name is correct on any paperwork. However, I'd strongly advise avoiding them like the plague.

The company have responded and tried to claim that they are a different company. They are not. They are still Unicorn Automotive Ltd and the same directors but just using a different trading name - the company is the same one that was trading in Norfolk as can be seen at Companies House - company number 07247616

If Unicorn Automotive want to put right what they did wrong then they are welcome to contact me and offer to pay back the money they owe me. I did not just wake up one day and decide to provide a review - I saw they were still trading and so I've written this review so other customers don't experience the same problems as I did with this same company.

The company are now suggesting I am defaming them and demanding money to remove the review. I have not at any point offered to remove the review. I have just suggested they might want to offer some customer service instead of making wild accusations about one of their customers. Same company, same directors. Look, this is how they will treat you if something goes wrong. Their response says it all. Avoid them.

3rd edit - oh dear, they really don't like being shown up for the cowboys that they are. I have not seen any good reviews so that is not my motivation, I have however seen lots of reviews saying they don't answer the phone or reply to emails which is what happened to me when they traded as the SAME COMPANY but using a different trading name. It's not possible to close down a trading name, only close down a company, and the company is still trading with the same directors and the same company number as Unicorn Automotive Ltd.

They talk about something that happened 14 years ago. Wrong. It was February 2011 so only 10 years ago. The receipt says "Unicorn Automotive" on it, which is THE SAME COMPANY as this - just look at their website "powered by Unicorn Automotive Ltd" and the addresses are the same for Cluster and Unicorn. Look at Companies House and all the information is there showing their CONTINUOUS trading history.

It's interesting that they claim to have nothing to do with SID Repairs yet they know the exact amount that they owe me so they clearly have access to all the records which would not be normal for a completely different company.

Let's look at one other piece of evidence. The VAT number on my receipt from 2011 (not 14 years ago as the company claims) is 992984937. Look at the Cluster Repairs website and notice how it is exactly the same VAT number. The company has NEVER closed down and has only changed the name which it trades under. The legal entity is Unicorn Automotive Ltd.

They have asked why I didn't try to contact them to resolve this. Well that's simple. In 2011 they never answered their phones or replied to emails. There are plenty of recent reviews in 2020/2021 of people saying they are still up to this trick of not answering phones or emails.

They say they would have assisted me "professionally" - well they still could by paying the money that is owed by them, but instead, they have acted unprofessionally by pretending to be a different company (they are NOT) and making wild accusations against me.

Mr Paul Long keeps changing his review to the responces we make in attempt to hurt our business the best he can. This will be our last amended reply.

Firstly if you look at Mr Longs previous reviews you will quickly realise how he is custom to calling businesses frauds, liars and scams.

Mr Long after 14 years and paying £49 has decided he would leave a review for Cluster Repairs UK and not SID repairs international as he suspects foul play.
He has tried his hardest to defame us as much as possible within this review. He has gone as far as we have changed company names to defraud our customers (this is very shocking) and we are simply not to be trusted. Cluster Repairs UK is 43 years old today. has never changed its name and has always been based in London.

Mr Long used a company called SID repairs International almost 14 years ago. This company was based in Norfolk and closed due to lack of business once Saab closed its doors. It seems like Mr long 14 years ago tried to contact this company, but it had closed. He states they never pick up their phones or answer emails? This is not how open business behave, the company had closed. He in 14 years has not attempted to contact Unicorn Automotive Ltd at all directly, or contact us at Cluster repairs UK with his concerns or left a bad review to get our attention?

We recently have had many good reviews on Saab forums for the type of repair Mr Long had 14 years ago. We believe this may have triggered Mr Long to get upset and target Cluster Repairs UK in a negative manner to hurt our business the best he can. We are very shocked with the nature of this behaviour by Mr long.

Mr Long, we would like to add there is a simple answer sometimes for what may occur. You have made up the worst possible type of agenda a company would do to rob its clients. We have contacted Trustpilot as this review is illegal in nature and we seek to have it removed.

We hoped you could have contacted us first to explain what may have happened after Sid repairs International closed its doors. We would have assisted you professionally and ensured you would have had a much better outcome. almost 14 years is a long time to try to get a £49 transaction resolved but we would have assisted you still with your inquiry.

Appalling company

After 2 weeks of having the cluster and 3 calls to find out whats happening with it, It was apparently deemed unrepairable. I dont have any issue with this as these things happen.
But however, apparently by my calling and trying to find out where my unit was I seem to have upset the Director, who told me he was sick of dealing with people like me, who had an attitude and were very ungrateful for all of his hard work... I only asked why it couldn’t be repaired? He then went on to say “look at you, the s##t type of car you drive its no wonder you don’t understand”.. I can only assume he was referring to the type of car the cluster is from, my daughters first car, a little VW Polo.. somehow this is reflective of my ability to understand the answer to my question.
Then He went on to tell me to go away and put the phone down on me.
it’s actually not unusual for a customer to ask where their item is if the quoted turn around date is a week over and no communication has been received.
Very nice of them to wave the diagnostic fee of £40 & VAT though........ funny though i didnt ask then to diagnose anything as It was going back for a full rebuild anyway.

I think I wont be recommending this Company to anyone unless they want to be abused & to receive shockingly poor customer service.

Far more to this, but Im going to wash my hands of dealing with this rude, ignorant, unprofessional and arrogant buffoon, and would recommended that you do so too.
