Buying green beans rather than roasted one's but the service has been excellent on both occasions that I've bought. Will certainly be back to buy some more once I've used up the 3Kg that I bought.

As always, the coffee was excellent, the price was great, and the delivery was very fast.

I have a monthly order for coffee from The Coffee Bean Shop and have never been let down. We have been using them for what seems ages, when the company ran from the shed the shed in the back garden, and they have never let us down. The coffee is always good. The service is excellent, the delivery good, what more can you ask for?

Airy, spacious and level café in the perhaps, uniquely pleasant environs of Lancaster Castle. There's a good free wifi signal and it's convenient for the station. Some distance to walk from parking, if you have a disability. Cycle parking is out of line of sight. Drinks are ok, served promptly, but not especially hot nor generously sized. Menu is limited, rolls, muffins, soup etc. and quite expensive, in my view. There's nowhere to charge a phone or laptop, which is quite an omission. The tables were sticky in need of a deep clean. There may be a high staff turnover, as there's a new server each time I visit. Staff seemed serious and not especially friendly, at a quiet time of day. I was told off for moving a table slightly, so a rather a strange controlling atmosphere. Lavatories are clean and modern.
