Met several women from CMB in Bangkok…
Met several women from CMB in Bangkok Thailand. All said to be something which they weren't. Real profession: hooker. Lots of women only selling their sexual services and fakes and ladyboys pretending to be women
Met a guy 2 years ago from CMB
Met a guy 2 years ago from CMB. He sent message to em and i started talking with him. He claimed he is Asian living in Montreal as an Architect. Talked and texted every day until he said he needed to go to Turkey to complete his project and get the remaining money from the contractor. But first he needs some money to buy a machine for the completion of the building. Anyway we had been on and off, non stop arguments whenever he needs money. Until yesterday, he blocked me. This is hilarious.
His profile name: Chan Wei Eric
Age: 45-47
City: from Hong Kong ( as he wants to know more Hong Kong ladies)
Reported to CMB and asked if they could retrieve the information from my deleted acct. and sent them his photos as evidence to search for similar profiles
I met a guy who was a scammer on here
I met a guy who pretended to be an orthopedic surgeon but turned out to be a scammer asking me for 6000 Euros. Be careful of this app. It is not good!
Awful
Awful. Just awful. A huge waste of money and time. Few candidates, fake profiles, candidates that don’t align with your preferences and a site that isn’t user friendly. I knew the first day it was going to be a failure but they wouldn’t refund my money. I have been on several other sites and this is the worst.
Full of fakes and scammers
Full of fakes and scammers. Only interested in your money and days go by without any matches or suggestions.
Do t waste your time or money.
Rude and unhelpful customer support team
The customer support team keeps coming up with canned responses to my queries and are rude to ignore some and simply close off the tickets I've submitted.
What annoys me the most is they keep saying "we value the safety of our users". It's sounding like a broken record. It's clearly not the case that they value the safety of their users if they experienced a data breach, exposing personal information to spammers and scammers.
Don’t Waste Your Time & Money
I’ve been using this app for 2 weeks (or less). Here’s what I like and don’t like about the app:
Like:
Don’t Like:
1. They deactivated my account during noon, and everyone here knows that bagels are presented during that time. Plus, I am in the middle of a conversation! Lol what a joke.
2. Soon after they asked for a picture with 3 fingers. That was fine I guess but I was still pissed off with point 1.
3. Took them 10 HOURS to reply (aka verify my picture) 🤦🏽♀️ I sent a diff email, and the reply was swift.
4. They then asked for my government ID. At this point I was done with the app and said it wasn’t stated in the T&C. Could’ve asked for a PIC and ID when I first registered in the app itself. If they really want to cut down scammers why give them 2 weeks to scam people? If they implemented this early on, leas and less fake profiles would be there.
Bottom line is, don’t waste your time here. There are better apps out there. I read an article about data ‘transparency = data breach’ and many problems has already occurred with CMB.
I’ll end this with 3 words: trash. useless. unprofessional.
*Update:
So I sent my government ID, with C&M written on a piece of paper (as requested) and they’ve decided to not activate my account. The only explanation they gave was a link to their ‘privacy’ page.
I asked for a specific clarification, Twice. No response. It’s been like what a month now since I last emailed them 🤦🏽♀️
PASSPORT COPY IS NEEDED
PASSPORT COPY IS NEEDED
On the second day when I installed the app, the app suddenly unable to log in and the app emailed to me stating that they are checking potential spams and it was a random that I was selected.
Ok… So, they asked me to email a pic to them holding up 3 fingers, which was fine and I did so. Then later, the app required me to send them my phone no. (I was thinking, that was ok too). Then, the next day, another email from the app asked me to provide a copy of government issued passport for ID proof, then I am scared. I am wondering by what means can the app ensure my personal information can be protected? And every time when the app emails to me, an additional information is required, so when will there be an end?
I indeed have joined a 3-month subscription plan already, and I guess if I asked for a refund ( in case that may happen though I doubt), additional personal data will be required. Thus, to allow myself to have a peaceful mind, it is ok to just leave the amount which was spent and quit the C&B app. I have never thought that there can be such a bad experience in using dating app. Indeed there are tons of friendly and welcoming apps around.
They asked me to show my ID to verify…
They asked me to show my ID to verify my account when there are so many fake accounts on there. I met couple guys on there and they turned out to be lying about their profiles. So what’s the point of tracking when no one can control how people behave. So ridiculous. I honestly don’t recommend this dating app to anyone. 👎👎👎👎
I tried this dating app and I was…
I tried this dating app and I was seriously dissatisfied. I believe a lot of the profiles are fake. It’s very expensive and there are very few profiles to chose. Don’t waste your money.
Scam
Scam. App claims to be free, but is not. The company will even send you marketing emails to try to steal your information, google actually warns you before you can even open it that it is in fact a scammer email. I wasted an hour of my time filling out a profile only to find out 24 hours later that in order to see a “like”, I had to cough up money. The worst dating app you can possibly find. Stick to Hinge if you’re looking for a safe and FREE dating experience!
Hopeless
Hopeless. Thankfully I've learnt my lesson not to pay up without testing the water a little.
Hardly anyone on here , little activity and 1 contact did have and obviously a catfish fake 🙄.
Please please don't waste your money. These apps are now just a ruthless way to make people into millionaires . There is no care and attention for the purpose of genuine dating.
I only joined as I thought it may stand out and be different !! Sadly not, it's just the same as all the others. Wish I had the knowledge to know how to set one up myself and I'd do it with so many restrictions to weedle out the fakes and just have good genuine people who are trying to meet someone in their lives.
Poor customer service, bans with no explanation
Got banned within two days of making an account with no explanation from customer service, without having even matched with anyone to be able to possibly violate the terms of service. Was told I had no photos on my account when I definitely had uploaded six or seven. Customer service often takes more than a day to respond by saying ‘please see our terms of service.’
The most expensive dating app to the…
The most expensive dating app to the point of ridiculous and non usable, even if you paid to do anything you would get no results. Even if it did work would still be ridiculous as it's not even popular, dead app, not comparable to the best ones and charging triple of the tinder cost monthly. I don't know how anyone would fall for this
Stay Away, wasting your time
I've paid a monthly subscription to find a mate and complete waste of time, not an even single fly. If you trying to find a specific type of woman or man on every profile (some fake) all it does wasting your money for trips, gifts, events, or birthdays. especially they dislike and hate children and refused to get married after dating within 1-2yrs. if you are trying to send a message they won't reply back to you. all profiler will cherry-picky of a suitable "SPECIAL" person.
banned for a very poor reason
I really must leave 1-star review because I was banned for a very poor reason: "I was doing marketing on CoffeeMeetsBagel".
Are you confused right now after reading that reason? Yeah I was too.
My profile is a little on the "unbelievable" side so I have links in my profile to my businesses. Apparently you can't do that!
I understand they are trying to remove scammers and dishonest people from the app. But I had links to my businesses! I wrote in my profile "50+ positive testimonials" for my business, which I thought would help me be more attractive to dates.
Man it's funny because my business is software contracting. Do they really think I will source business leads from CMB? It's so ridiculous!
Lots of fraudulent profiles
I wanted to like this app because I think the sister owners are sharp and likable. I was on for two weeks and realized someone I was chatting with was a catfish. I discontinued the paid subscription and someone else reached out to me with a fraudulent profile. My advice is to proceed with caution.
I was unfortunate to meet a dishonest…
I was unfortunate to meet a dishonest woman on this platform. She swindled me of over half a million usd over 4 months. Fortunately, I noticed I was being swindled and I reported her to Alpharefunds, org who helped in getting my funds back.
negative review for CMB
I am a member of CMB. They asked me to delete one account and send a picture with holding 3 fingers to verity my account because I have two accounts. Then I sent verification pic and deleted one account. After that I met someone and deleted the account I used. Then we are not work and I back to CMB again and create a new account. CMB still asked my verification picture and ID to verify my account, the reason is I have two accounts. How come I have two accounts? I only have one account. The old account they did not delete from their system and made the trouble for me and said I have two account? CMB made the mistake and ask customers to pay for it?! When I emailed them and they avoid to answer my questions and no solution for their mistake. What the service is! CMB only care about money!
Deceptive and useless; few attractive profiles
This dating app has several problems. First, when you subscribe to their premium package, you might think that allows you to send "likes" to profiles you like and try to start a conversation, as advertised. WRONG. They give you only 8 likes, meaning, you can send a "like" to 8 profiles, and that's it. Once you run out of likes, you must buy their in-app currency, "beans," so you can send more likes by spending beans. It costs between $2.78 to $6.67 to send ONE LIKE to ONE PROFILE. That is ridiculous! You might send 10 or 20 likes or more, and not get any response. Who would knowingly sign up and pay for a monthly subscription, only to find out you have to pay $3 or more just to wave at someone? And, of course, the subscription is non-refundable.
The other problem is that while they match you up with 21 "suggested" profiles each day (and you can "like" any of those for free), there is no adequate way of setting preferences and filters. So you get suggestions of totally unattractive profiles that can be way older or otherwise not compatible. Very disappointing.
