Complete scam

Complete scam. Avoid.

EDIT: You don't pay out. Probably keeping the affiliate revenue for yourself. You send daily spammy emails telling me to login to get free bitcoin, yet again, you don't pay out. Complete waste of my time.

A few of your recent cashback orders have been declined on the retailer's side for various reasons, unfortunately there is nothing CoinCorner can do about this. The advertisers set their own terms and conditions and decide what orders are eligible for cashback.

With regard to the free BTC, if you didn't receive this when logging in then you can email our support team and they can arrange for this BTC bonus to be credited to your balance.

I tried to transfer 1 BTC from My…

A follow up from my previous review below. I foolishly attempted my first BTC transfer just before the easter weekend, this being the reason why Coincorner didn't make immediate contact.
They made contact on the Tuesday after the weekend and explained, as I was transferring a significant amount, further security checks were required. All was resolved and the transfer went through without Issue. Many thanks to Ross of Coincorner.

I tried to transfer 1 BTC from My account to my hard wallet yesterday evening, the transfer did not take place, I’ve checked with a btc tracker and 0 transaction has taken place. I’ve frantically tried to contact CoinCorner with no response.

Do not use

Only want easy clients that they can exploit high fees and stupid rules for. No point providing any documents as they just change their rules as they go along. Very rude customer support eventually when they answer.

The documentation that we require to comply with AML/CFT legislation does not change, but you did not respond to our request for more information on the review so we cannot check your account and verification status to see why you are having issues verifying. We, like the majority of legitimate exchanges, require users to verify their account and require proof of identity and proof of address documents to do so.

Our customer support team respond to queries promptly unless received outside of our standard office hours, but even then they will get back to users at the earliest opportunity the next morning. Our team cannot find any emails from a user that may be yourself, again as we did not receive a response from you when asking for more information.

Please email support@coincorner.com from the email address registered to your account and they'd be happy to take a look into why you are having trouble verifying and help you complete the process.

Disgusting way to treat someone

Disgusting way to treat someone.

Coincorner are no way capable of dealing with bigger clients in my opinion. On all occasions I’ve had to call up to chase withdrawals and then they are paid nearly immediately, We have been in the crypto space for many years and understand fully how to operate.

They ask for invoices and I have always provided them. Even though it doesn’t state you will need to do this in their privacy policy. I also have always asked what their compliance team will need moving forward and always happy to provide.

Then they want to throw words around like scam in regards to a company we do some work for. This is slander. There is no evidence what so ever that proves that.

And then to top it off they say we can’t promote an unregulated company ( even though they are not in the U.K., and we checked with the FCA and the laws and we can legal do it) but our BDM said we can promote coincorner!!! Which are not regulated by the FCA. And of course they said it’s an attractive commission for the referral. Exactly the same as we were doing with the other company.

Why on Earth would we send the invoice with the details if it was not legit and risk our business.

We work with may other payment processors who are FCA regulated and never had any issues. Our business bank is FCA regulated as well. And we work closely with HMRC to ensure our tax affairs are correct. Also we have regularly chats with the Information Commissioner’s Office to ensure we are up to date. And we speak to the FCA as well i regards to any updates to their rules. We have nothing to hide and how we have been treated is disgusting. Luckily we have multiple other exchanges we use.

There is obviously a reason why coincorner and coinfloor merged together. Maybe some skeletons in the cupboards. I would suggest being very careful with using coincorner for your business needs. Seems like they can’t handle the pressure of the crypto world. And have to take it out on hard working individuals like myself. Disgusted with how I’ve been treated when I have clearly been very honest from the start.

This review is of my own opinion with emails and recorded calls to prove everything I said is true.

Very expensive fees

Very expensive fees. Signed up to get £10 bonus but even with that I have to wait until LTC is high enough to break even. £100 became £97 (£3 fee) when buying LTC, selling it another £3 fee along with price changes, then another £1 to withdraw the GBP!

The various limits are horrendous

The various limits are horrendous, they make coincorner barely usable.
In addition, I've never seen network fees that high: when you think you have enough to buy something, you realize you need to buy way more BitCoins to proceed to a transaction, but you have to wait because of the daily limit, until you hit the monthly limit ... It's a never-ending circle of waiting.
I would not recommend.
The only benefit is that you don't have to upload biometric data, but well, if you can't use it.

The only limits that users are subject to on their account are daily and monthly card deposit limits, but if you're looking to deposit more than your card limit allows then you can do so via bank transfer where there are no limits in place. These card deposit limits are in place to protect both ourselves and our users by limiting our exposure to card fraud, and you can make yourself eligible for higher card deposit limits by building up a successful card deposit history at your current limit.

We believe that our BTC send fee is inline with our main competitors, but appreciate that it can be more impactful if withdrawing smaller values of BTC from your account. We do offer withdrawals via the Lightning Network though which can be used to avoid the BTC send fee, all you need is a Lightning compatible wallet to send to and you can withdraw BTC via the Lightning Network with no fee whatsoever. We hope you will give this method a try if you are back using our site again in the future.

I've gone middle of the road with three stars.

I think accepting incoming money prior to full KYC is wrong, it makes people feel trapped.

Proof of Id is also difficult, I don't want to send a copy of my bank details showing all transactions (private information). A hard copy of an up to date utility bill is nearly unheard of in this paperless (and printer less) world and many of our bills are in my partners name, my passport is out of date and it's only luck that I have a driving license. .... There has to be a better way.

Users are able to deposit up to a pre-verification threshold before they are required to verify their account however if a user exceeds this threshold, or deposits via bank transfer at any point, then they will be required to complete our verification process before they are able to withdraw any BTC purchased with the proceeds of that deposit. Users are still able to buy and sell, however withdrawals will be temporarily unavailable until verified. We would not prevent a user from withdrawing their funds altogether though, and if the user is unable or unwilling to verify their account then all they need to do is get in touch with our support team and they will arrange the return of any deposited funds.

Our team appreciate that users may not want to send a statement with sensitive information on it, and users are able to obscure any sensitive information they wish to as long as the team can see a name, address and issue date within the last 6 months in the uploaded image. We also accept downloaded e-statements and e-bills (not screenshots though), so you do not need to upload an image of a physical version of any statements or bills you are uploading.

We hope this helps you understand our verification process a bit more and assists in getting your CoinCorner account verified.

[UPDATE] Poor Communication = ⭐️ review

EDIT: This relationship started well. I submitted KYC and was able to receive payment from clients. Then my account got frozen until I submitted additional KYC - which I did. And then got told my account was closed permanently with no reason provided. I was wished "good luck finding another provider to work with".

From that day I lost access to my account including all txn history - and I'm still not sure why.

I recognise that KYC and banks are creating pressure but, where a middle man closes on a client with no reason provided and poor communication, feels out of alignment for me. If you're ok with unclear communication and possibly set your business up with a company that may close on your for any reason then this solution may still work for you.

I can't recommend them though so it's down to 1 star for me.

I love that I can have my customers pay me in Crypto. Easy to set up and integrate with payments going directly into my UK account. I love it.

Beware before Purchasing Crypto!

I would beware of purchasing any Cryptocurrency on Coin corner before you send your verification (KYC) documents.

Luckily I did NOT deposit any money using this platform before sending my documents, as I did not want to face any future problems.

Coin Corner state that they aim to respond to the verification procedure within 24 hours.

I waited 9 days for a response and this was only after sending an Email to enquire what was taking so long.

They ask for a Governent issued Photo ID document.

I sent my Nationl Identity Card which got refused, and they informed me to instead send a Drivers License or Passport.

So basically you are REQUIRED to drive a vehicle or travel abroad to lush destinations in order to be able to purchase cryptocurrency on their platform.

The biggest problem created by this is is if you do not hold a drivers license or passport; AND you have not had documents requested then you are free to deposit money to your Coin Corner account until they ask for these documents; and if you don't have a DL or PP then you are screwed!

They will block your ability to withdraw YOUR money until you provide a drivers license or passport.

Your money will be locked and there is not a thing you can do unless you jump through hoops and obtain one of these documents.

So my advice is to look elsewhere if you are looking into cryptocurrencies.

Binance makes you go through a KYC procedure BEFORE you can purchase crypto, and unlike Coin Corner you can only but crypto after completing it.

Thankfully they had common sense and accepted my government issued ID card and didn't require me to be eligible to drive around in the Bahamas!

I'm afraid that the only documents that we can accept as proof of identity from UK residents are a valid driving licence or a passport, and if users are unable to provide either of those documents then they will regrettably be unable to verify their account. Users are able to deposit by card up to a pre-verification threshold as you mention, however if they are unable to verify their account after hitting that threshold we would not prevent them from removing any funds they had in their account. Funds would not be locked in the account as users can still sell at that point, and we could then arrange a return of their balances.

We have checked on our end for the reason for the delay in our team getting back to you and this is because the 'Submit' button was not clicked after uploading your document, as this was the case your application did not make it into our queue to be reviewed by the team. Your application was then reviewed upon receipt of your email.
