I’ve collected coins since childhood, but most seriously in the last twenty five years. That resulted in a financially significant amount of gold and silver collectible coins in my home in the US Virgin Islands.

After retirement, disposition of this collection presented challenges. If I wanted to take it to the mainland, how to transport it? Insurance? Customs paperwork? Possible suspicion of money laundering? Robbery?

I was fortunate to see Coinfully’s ad on the ANA website: collections appraised, bought and sold. Wyatt and Matt from Coinfully agreed to visit me the following week.

They arrived at my house at 10 AM, set up on my dining table, and proceeded to inventory and catalog all 350 or so coins in my collection. Using standard coin industry guides, they had an appraisal by four o’clock, and funds wired into my bank account by six PM. I agreed in advance to paying them a reasonable travel expense and commission on the sale.

They were, as expected, knowledgeable coin professionals and efficient, honest appraisers. I was particularly impressed that they called my attention to two stashes of cash in the pile. And a day after returning to the mainland with the coins, they called me to say they found an error in their totals and were wiring me an additional $17k!

I can’t speak too highly of the experience. They solved my problem quickly, professionally, and ethically. A pleasure to do business with! Highly recommended.

This has to be the easiest process I’ve ever experienced with selling any coins. Not only did I receive top dollar, but the money was wired into my account the same day they received my coins.
