Using Coinsbit in Canada?

I like this exchange for trading but can't seem to pass the KYC after multiple attempts. I can't see anything that would tell me I can't use it in Canada. Would like some help on either getting verified or withdraw without verification.

Edit - Coinsbit helped me with the KYC process and after finally understanding how to take the picture I can use all the functions on exchange. all good now!

Dear user, to pass KYC you need to provide photos (BOTH SIDES) of an identification document (passport, national ID card or driving license (you should choose only one of these types)) as well as a selfie where you hold the document and a note with the following text written by hand: "COINSBIT.IO; current date and your signature". After you create an application like this our team check it soon.

Result of the checking:
Dear user, we have re-checked your KYC request. We understand your situation. Your KYC was disapproved again and we will now explain the reasons:
1)You have uploaded back-side of your driver's license two times without providing the front side of it.
2)Document on the selfie must be the same as on the separate document photos that you have provided. You have made a selfie with your passport, but submitted a photos of the driver's license.

Please send your request again and notify us. In order to be approved on our exchange you can upload photos of your passport (for passport only the biodata page is enough) and take a selfie with it OR provide front and back side of your driver's license and take a selfie with it. Also, please, write TODAY's date on your note on the selfie.

Cannot Withdraw Because U.S. is not Supported

I deposited $100 worth of XLM to my wallet in the morning of April 17, and the transaction was successful according to the public ledger (with the information matching my wallet), however the coins never arrived. I opened a ticket on the night of April 17 regarding this, and the support team asked for my memo ID (which I provided), but there has not been any response since then. Currently, it is the night of April 20, and I still do not have the coins.

Do not trust this company, better to throw away your money.

Update: Someone from support contacted me directly through email after I posted this review, and they deposited the XLM coins to me. I am bumping the score by 1 star, since they actually fixed the issue.

Update 2: I attempted to verify my identity (which required a few documents, including the passport), and I received an email saying "Your documents can not be accepted because your country is not supported by our exchange". I am a U.S. citizen, so apparently, if you have an American passport, they cannot verify your identity, which means you cannot withdraw anything from your account. I am reducing this to one star again.

Horrible

Horrible! Do not open an account if you are in the USA. I opened one, transferred funds, and began trading. When I wanted to withdraw, it said I had to verify my account. I verified my account, but they later said that they blocked out my account as i'm in the USA and cannot trade. I asked to withdraw my funds in this case as I do no even have access to log into my account. They responded a few times and said this would take up to 40 days. 40 days later and still no response. I followed up numerous times and still no response. Horrible customer service and they are illegally holding onto my money. I would never, and highly recommend, to not trade with Coinsbit.

Hello , dear user. Yes, indeed, we have a separate withdrawal procedure for US users. BUT usually such requests are resolved within a few days, since the procedure is more complicated. Don't worry, we never misappropriate other people's funds.
We have got your data and contact you after the withdraw funds to your address very soon. Sorry for the temporary inconvenience.

Slow/No service

Attempted to withdrawal DOGE from my disapproved account. Customer service responded back in February, but no further action was taken & I still don't have my money. I provided necessary info & nothing has happened for two months. Only reason it's not 1 star is they bothered raising my hopes up. Will update if resolved.

EDIT: Received my DOGE as of 4/23

Worst customer service

Displayed wrong price on the chart for a token I was selling. Didnt find out until after I had sold. Got 94 usdt for a trade that was worth 1800. No response from customer service other than "the technical team is looking into it" . Nearly 2 weeks has passed, and they wont answer the chat.

So I decided to move what I had left from the site and close the account. Forced to pass KYC to withdraw, which would be fine, but I cant. In yet ANOTHER problem with their website, I cant enter a UK postcode in the kyc information, because despite selecting united kingdom from the drop down list, it still asks for a numbers only zip code. Which is a mandatory feild, that is impossible for me to fill out.
I cant say much about this next issue due to possible NDA, but it appears that they reneged on their contractual obligations to market a token that was listed recently also.

Not only that, but their app is terrible, their site is slow and clumsy and honestly, its the worst exchange I have used yet.

I cant put my email in the review.
its funny how this exchange can ignore dozens of support calls for nearly 2 weeks, yet answer a bad review within hours.
If they had any intention of fixing my problem, they would have done so. They only want to look good here, but realistically, they have ignored me for 2 weeks.

Hello, we are very sorry for your dissatisfaction. But we are sure that everything can be fixed. First, let's define what exactly you are having difficulties with and try to figure it out. Please provide your contact details so that we can contact you. Thank you.

Result of the checking:
We have checked your appeal and found out the cause of the problem. In fact, everything turned out to be much simpler than we could imagine. Even in your screenshot, you can clearly see the SELL price of the coin was indeed at 0.02987, but the BUY price was 0.0000201 (also seen in the screenshot). Accordingly, your order was executed at the current price for a BUY (at the price of which the application was) - 0.0000201.

Therefore, there is no mistake or problem. Your order has been executed as it should have been.

Always glad to help. Thank you for your feedback, we will definitely take into account your recommendations regarding the work of support. All the best to you.

According to our rules, for the present time, the withdrawal of fiat currency is temporarily possible only via the ADVcash service. The support worker should have informed you about this.

XRP withdrawal takes up to 3 hours

XRP withdrawal takes up to 3 hours? What? That's first time I have ever seen that. I choose XRP for transactions because of its fast and cheap transactions but Coinsbit takes too long. According to other people reviews I wouldn't recommend this exchange for my friends. Now I'm little bit worried about my holdings there even when my KYC is verified. My XRP arrived after 1 hour what is not so good for an exchange. But they have some good gem coins which pays that risk price. If they do something with faster withdrawals and modificate KYC a little that would be pretty nice exchange.

Btw it takes a while to load their website. Maybe that's my connection problem.

Dear user, withdrawal can take up to 3 hours maximum! On average, withdrawal is much faster. The conditions for the withdrawal were announced in the rules and from the administration. So there is no secret. All transactions passed much faster, we just determined the maximum possible time. Thanks for your feedback. We are really apreciate it.

HOLDING MY MONEY FOR 3 MONTHS

On January 7th, I deposited my funds to Coinsbit.io with the intent of trading. After some time, I wanted to withdraw some of my money back out and realized that I was unable to withdraw anything because USA wasn't listed under countries in the required KYC form. I got in contact with support, my ticket 75225 was marked as fixed, but I got no reply and no resolution was offered. On top of this, the KYC form access was completely blocked for me as well. I kept sending multiple emails to support and opened many tickets but each time kept getting the same reply, that someone would resolve my issue "very soon." At the beginning, I was asked for my information and sent in all documentation that they asked for that same day. However, nothing has changed and 3 months later, my funds are still locked in the account and I haven't gotten a single reply or any help beside the initial reply of getting help "soon" and to keep waiting. This situation is very frustrating, because my money is locked in the account without any chance of taking it out. It definitely makes the platform seem like a scam, and I wouldn't recommend it to others due to these issues and lack of support.

UPDATE 03/26/2021: EMAIL PROVIDED AS REQUESTED
UPDATE 03/29/2021: REACHED OUT BY EMAIL, BUT HAVE COMPLEATLY BLOCKED MY ACCOUNT TODAY. STILL WAITING ON A RESOLUTION.
UPDATE 03/30/2021: GOT MY MONEY BACK

P.S. Terrible experience!! Simply horrible.

Liars

I placed a huge SELL order on 0.995 (USD/USDT), but a few hours later I see BUY orders being filled at 1.00, while mine is being skipped and unfilled. My order was executed only several hours later and only when I lowered the price even further. This goes against all "fair market" rules.

Requests to the customer support are being ignored and closed as "fixed" without any comments.

Update: the customer service contacted me for additional information and disappeared again. When I confronted them and asked why this situation happened - they replied with "your order has been executed in the end, what else do you want?".

Stay away from these guys, seriously.

Poor service but they did eventually return my coins

Edit: they returned my funds after posting this review

STAY AWAY. I deposited my money 3 months ago to trade between assets. When I tried to withdraw I got a message notifying me that I can’t withdraw because I’m a US user. Why would you accept deposits that you won’t return? I emailed support and like many other users, got a message asking for details to verify my identity. I’ve emailed over EIGHT TIMES with this information and every time, they just stop responding or direct me to technical support. I just want to withdraw my money and this is an absolute nightmare. I’ve never posted a negative review of anything before, but that’s how frustrated I am. This site is a scam, stay far away.
