COMPANION CARE OLDBURY

This is the worst vet company I’ve ever experienced, nobody knows what they’re doing and they never phone back as promised, all they know is how to keep taking money without no explanation from my bank and I’m stuck with a contract till it ends or I’ll have even more charges, I wish I never got involved with this company, stay away from this company if you don’t want to be ripped off. Not even worth 1 star.

AVOID

Hi everyone,
Just thought to share my opinion and also to complain about the Vet Company named :
Companion Care Northampton
Inside Pets at Home
Nene Valley Retail Park
St James Mill Road East
Northampton
Northamptonshire
NN1 1ET

It's absolutely unacceptable and disgusting how they treat the pets and the customers .
My dog Labrador had a problem , they prescribed antibiotics without even knowing what's the issue . My dog is getting worse now so i have to change the Vetclinic .

Called today to book an appointment because the eyes got bigger , the anus got red because of the antibiotics.
They said they don't have any appointments for today however they can book for tomorrow and we'll need to pay again . I am happy to pay if the Vet knows what's the problem however .

We were asking a lady called Danielle for the vet only to show a picture maybe he can help . That's 30 seconds they said ,,NO,, You need to book an appointment and to pay first .

Even we are paying monthly subscription.
Absolutely ridiculous, all the know is to charge people without even knowing what's the problem with your pet .

Thanks ,

ironic that the word care…

It it a bit ironic that the word care features in their name! Honestly the only thing they ‘care’ about is exploiting their customers!
I booked my dog in for a health check this week as was worried about her eye. I then had to come back to get some prescribed medication. They said she would need another health check! Even though she was checked out two days ago. The vet spends seconds doing it, didn’t have to weigh her and they are wanted me to pay again for a full health check, I was happy to pay for one and the medication bit nothing had changed. Apparently it is the Tamworth practice manager’s decision who was supposed to call me back to discuss. I just received a voice call to say I have an outstanding bill. I am honestly happy to pay for anything for my pet- but this practice in Ventura only wants to make money. The vets are nice but the business side is corrupt. My advice Do Not Use

Receptionist at Brentford seems just…

Receptionist at Brentford seems just too inexperienced with anxious customers.
I'm dealing with my cat who has FIV and recently survived FIP. On two occasions, once on the phone, and once in person, new and young receptionist, Quickly becomes irritated when you ask any questions or need clarification on anything that she is saying. On both occasions she has raised her voice and said 'I'm only explaining to you'. Today she actually just walked away from me sending out another, more calm and experienced colleague. Today there was no manager, nobody to process insurance claims, no senior nurse, no leadership on the front desk. After many happy years with this service I am thinking of changing to another practice due to these recent bizarrely emotional reactions.

Companion Care Brentford have been…

Companion Care Brentford have been taking care of my four cats a a dog for at least 8 years. They are the only vets I stayed with this long. We had a great care all the way through and even the proces are reasonable and when they were not they advised who might help us at lower cost. Thank you Companion Care!

Good service in Beckton.

I found the vet at Vets4Pets in Beckton very thorough. I was seen on time. He explained things to me, Did his best to reassure me. Neither did I find the charges too extortionate. I don't know that the problem will be resolved but I feel he did his best. I am surprised at all the bad reviews I have seen.

The male vet that I saw (not Stefan) in…

The male vet that I saw (not Stefan) in the Orpington branch today, injected my gentle, very quiet Ragdoll kitten for her 2nd inoculations today. As I was holding her, he just quickly jabbed the needle in her back. She screamed blue murder jumped out of my hands and ran around the table with the injection still stuck in her back. He grabbed the needle out of her back and it squirted everywhere. He then said that she had only half the dose then quickly injected her again. She and I were both traumatised. He said it was because he had just taken it out of the fridge, so it was probably cold? Which is Absolutely rubbish! He was just too rough. I have had cats and dogs my whole life, never have experienced this before. Will not go back there again.

Book our rabbit for a vaccination how ever when we turned up was told we was booked in at a completely different vets. Even though we stated Kingsway retail park derby on the phone.
Lady at the counter was nothing but rude and refused to help with a solution,

Definitely avoid any companion care vets they seem to only have money in your mind not customer service or pets welfare.

These are the worst vets i have ever…

Filton Bristol - These are the worst vets i have ever been to and a few Months ago i lost my boy White Persian cat because of their negligence locum vet who last saw him for a check up, i have had over the years an array of mistakes since going there, Gucci the Sister of the one i lost was spade at 7 months she continued to call for years and they did nothing for a long time, no investigation, then they offered to spay her again, no charge like i was supposed to be thankful, unacceptable, they found an embryo still inside, openly showed it to me in a tube, wished i left then, i would still have her Brother, he was perfectly ok before i took him for that check up & recovering nicely eating & happy,i said to them it was urgent for her Brother who had a i was kept waiting 4 days before they saw it was urgent, i said there was a big sack come out of his bottom size of a tumour, by that time it was too late, they operated £800 later thanks to Augustus he got him through the operation for a Prolapse diagnosed by Paul, then the locum who checked on him treated him cruelty she didn't tell me what she was doing he was breaking his heart crying in pain wiping his bottom area roughly for 20 minutes where he had just been operated on & still had stitches saying oh don't be so dramatic, i was traumatised, 30 mins later glad to get out of there, by the next day, he disappeared the whole day hiding in the house, he came out hours later i never left his side, then gave up & died 4.30am i stayed up all night like anyone would, i haven't stopped crying for more than 9 months, they shouldn't be allowed to get away with this and i would like to say Jess on reception wrote on the notes he couldn't go to the toilet, my email said nothing of the kind, she always gave me dirty looks when i brought in my Persians ( I had 4) and ignored me so i would go to someone else for payment, so i guessed thats why she didn't flag it up that he was an urgent case for an operation just because i asked for Paul, she made it known she hated me, i have now kept my remaining 3 safe to a lovely vet in Westbury on Trym who do care, i find them amazing, just how Pets & Clients should be treated, it kills me what he went through only to be treated like that on a check up because i was suspicious i requested Bowies notes, the locom wrote an untrue statement that i had forgot to give Bowie the laxative for adults that they recommended only once a day instead of twice, then typed out (purse strings) regarding a question i asked, never has there been an issue about money, i would starve to see my pets safe & sell my house, how dare she, they are lucky i haven't sued them.. so far

Filton Companion care, appalling!

Filton Companion care vets are appalling, long story short I took my dog over with suspected hypothyroidism! £900 worth of tests later I changed vets to The Grove vets at Henleaze who, for £233 diagnosed my dog with HYPOTHYROIDISM!

human error

I have recently had trouble with communication with this vets. I have a care plan for my pet, which i pay monthly and it covers visits to see a vet or a nurse, but on this occasion they couldn't see me due to a member of staff having personal issues and wouldn't be able to see a cat which had a stomach ache. which then they sent me to another companion care, and didn't make me aware that i would now have to pay. now unsure where i stand with everything as i have a pet plan which would normally cover this and was told on the phone that human errors happen! this isnt a accuse as now i owe £58 to another vets also seeing the same vet as i normally do at this practice. this price didn't include any medication or treatment, that is them just seeing me and my pet.

FURTHER UPDATE - Do not go here!

FURTHER UPDATE - DO NOT VISIT THIS VET
My sister and I met with Atila Wurth, Head Vet, on May 27th for a fuller account of how my healthy dog Rory died during a routine procedure, with me paying for all the pre-health tests and extra IV fluid during the procedure.

Atila informed there is a gap in the medical report between the end of the scale and polish and the tooth extraction when Rory starts having problems. This is a breach of the code of professional conduct for veterinary surgeons where everything has to be documented.

At the end of the procedure , I asked about payment and how we go about organising cremation. I was aware of the costs so far (£846) as we had been informed on Friday (the day of Rory's passing) and my friend wrote it down (as I was incapable of processing anything).

We were told on Friday we could dispute these costs as we took in a healthy dog for a routine procedure yet he died with no answers as to why. Despite this I agreed to pay the £846. Atila said the cremation costs had already been added, despite us not pre-approving them which I believe is another contravention of the code. However, I did agree to pay.

Atila then proceeded to say I was incorrect about the total costs as we were being charged for CPR. I was aghast from a moral standpoint that Atila charges to attempt to save the lives of healthy animals when things go wrong on the medical table. Therefore I queried this.

Upon this query, Atila's attitude changed. I believe he thought I was querying not paying the whole bill rather than just the CPR, even though I'd already agreed to pay the £846. He proceeded to say we didn't love our pet multiple times, that he could have left our dog dying on the operating table. I reached for my phone and informed I was going to film the interaction. I knew Atila's behaviour was in complete contradiction of the professional conduct for veterinary surgeons point 2.7

Veterinary surgeons must respond promptly, fully and courteously to clients’ complaints and criticism.

Atila informed me filming was against the law and that I didn't care about the law as I didn't care about my pet.

Atila, the Head Vet has made this process even more unbearable, which I didn't think was possible. Therefore, I have to bring Atila's conduct and his complete disregard for the professional conduct for veterinary surgeons to your attention. I can't bear the thought of any other bereaved owner going through this. We idolised Rory so to be told we didn't love him by a veterinary professional is incomparably painful. Atila is abusing the trust put in him by bereaved and vulnerable customers and I want to know how he will be held accountable for this.

Thankyou Companioncare Broadstairs

I am sad to see that so many people have had a bad experience at their branch of Companioncare. If only you could all use the Broadstairs branch you would feel like part of the family. My dog Syd and I love them all, from the friendly, helpful reception staff to the lovely nurses through to Marcus, Syds vet, I can not fault them. Marcus is the nicest, kindest, most caring person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, he loves his job and it shows. Thankyou Companioncare Broadstairs, I would give you 10 stars if I could. My pets ashes and treatment at companion vets burrfields

We as a family made the hard decision to put our dog to sleep as she was deteriorating quickly. She was a 13 year old German shepherd. We contacted companion vets and went to burrfields. While my wife was outside while they put the cannula in one of the staff thrust a card reader under her nose which was very insensitive.
We waited for our dogs ashes for 2 weeks and then my wife contacted companion vets to find out that our Dogs ashes had been back with them nearly a week! This has caused trauma over what is a very traumatic event for us. I complained to one of the directors ( Lucy Grinholm ) to be blocked by her and then my wife gets a email in reply to my email. They say it's not possible to get any compensation but I have read my email and I only ever asked for compassion and not compensation. How companion vets have handled this is insensitive and not very professional. I would never use them again after this event which they deny ever happened. If I can save one family the insensitive trauma my family has suffered then I will be happy.

AVOID!!!

Absolutely disgusting service. My dog has been suffering with his ear for a while, he is a frenchie who gets anxiety at the vet, mainly because the first time he went to this vets for his injections they threw a towel over his head to perform the procedure! With regards to his ear, he has been sedated to have his ears cleaned and put on steroids 3 times yet they still haven’t resolved the issue of his hemotoma. During our latest visit they wanted him sedated again so they could carry out swobs and take another look, costing just over £700. Why wasn’t this done when he was first sedated? I have now moved him to another vet’s where they have reacted to his issue immediately, due to companion care prolonging the procedure when we have consistently told them what we believe the issue to be (hemotoma) my dogs ear may never stand up again! I am furious at the way they have treated my dog and will never step foot in that place again. They have no compassion for animals, only in it to get as many ££££’s out of you as possible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Negative I’m afraid

Negative I’m afraid , took my 12 week kitten for jabs and they informed me he had only one testicle ! Went back for second jabs and vet told me the second had appeared , so booked him in yesterday for castration and got a phone call telling me he only had the one testicle and would need an op !! Costing nearly £300 instead of the £58 !! I told them to leave castration but when I collected him they insisted I pay the anasetic £48 , I refused as it was there negligence and offered to pay £20 which I wish I hadn’t of paid now ! Their all about money I wouldn’t recommend , and also why did they anethasize him before checking I’m so mad at them

My cat has a cyst above her eye

My cat has a cyst above her eye. Companion care New Malden charged £300 to look at it and take a biopsy and wanted £1000 to remove it. A dog can have a hysterectomy for a third of that price!

Vile and outrageous

Our little dog was spayed at soton branch and twice a year she has systems of being on heat. Many visits to sort it and ended up with a prescription for apoquel a two week but only received enough for a week. After an abusive phone call, I was told it would be another £27. As the prescription was for 2 weeks I fail to see why I should pay. As the Prescription is still live I requested it as I have already paid for consultation and drugs that was a 2 week course. The internet price for a box of 20 was 95 pence. This needs to stop and your reception staff needs to be retrained. Shame on you all.

Lack of customer care

Never seen on time and this evening was no different. 35 minutes after appointment was due vet could not be bothered to even apologise (receptionist did) by then my yorkie was stressed out to then be handed a muzzle to try and attach as no one could assist. my dog was not having any of it so I promptly left never to recommend or return again

First visit in January to the…

First visit in January to the Huddersfield Leeds road practice for kittens first vaccination, micro chip and flea/worm treatment. Issues with setting up my petplan, hanging around for 40 minutes because “computer was down” took my bank details to set up direct debit said it would be done manually. Quickly took my first payment via card. Checked my bank a few days later and find there was 9 direct debits set up for the pet plan. Rang customer services who were very dismissive about me having so many direct debits set up to pay them.
Phone call received on 6th February to tell me the follow up appointment for next vaccinations was cancelled, couldn’t rearrange a time that suited me. Said to the member of staff who I spoke to (Leah) that I was regretting joining this practice, she rudely said well you can always go find another vets. So now my kitten is not going to get his next vaccination in the timeframe needed as they still haven’t rung me back to sort a convenient time.
The staff at this practice have no manners and the ones at customer services are no better. I’m now stressing about my kitten getting his next lot done in time.
