There is what I believe to be a scam. The first few cheapest quote will not allow you to make a payment. "Payment failure". So you're obligated to phone them. They then say there's an issue with the online quotes and card payments. They ask to have someone call you back but if you ask. They will not honour the online quote. The cheap quote in my opinion is to pull you in and put you on the spot when they quote you more. Another one was asking substantially more when I went to their site. Beware of the cheapest quotes from brokers you've never heard of.

As a last resort I tried compareni.com – thank goodness – I was able to insure Car for virtually half the cost (45% less) than ANY other quotes.
All the compareni.com quotes were vastly cheaper than moneysupermarket.com’s CHEAPEST quote of £453.
Privilege Renewal quote was £490 with – up 74% though no details had changed.
Direct line’s was £548.
Northern Ireland has the third highest car insurance costs in the UK.
Northern Ireland also has extraordinarily high HOME insurance costs – vastly higher than any other UK region – possibly due to a lot of flooding in a few areas last winter. The companies seem to be keen to grab back their losses – irrespective of the fact most areas have no risk of flooding and low crime rates.
Northern Ireland insurers should ignore moneysupermarket.com etc and try compareni.com – as they actually understand the N.I. market and differentiate areas properly - to avoid these vast ripoffs.

How will compareni solve the issues that will arise from changing the parking laws in NI?

I've been spam called since using this site. I put down to be contacted by email... I've been absolutely tortured. I've blocked numbers and they just generate a new one and call me again. I have received 100s of calls in a week. It's actually driving me insane.

I'll stick with axa who are more expensive. Atleast they value my mental health.

Stick with GB sites. This is just a premium on other sites for NI.

I searched for pet insurance and got a great quote. Site was easy to navigate. I'd definitely use it in the future.

I have used Compare NI before. I got best competitive price for both home and house insurance. I regularly receive offers for percentages off travel, shopping because I used them.

Quick and easy to use and saved on my car insurance… still waiting for my Fisherman Rod toy from Decembers home insurance purchase, but that’s not an essential reason for using.

As my car insurance renewal date approached I received an email with several renewal quotes, one of which was £70 cheaper than the renewal price quoted by my current insurer & £20 cheaper than my renewal in January 2024.
Needless to say I took up the quote sent & am extremely satisfied.
