Signed up for this scam when I bought an item from JML. An account you can't sign into, promise of a voucher you never receive and awful customer service, I say awful but it just generally doesn't exist! Disappointed that JML even sign you up for this, not that you're given a choice it's done before you can say no!

Ordered a thane. All good, couple of days later got a call wondering if I would sign up for some money off vouchers. I told them to send me the email and I would look at it. I opened the email but then ignored it and didn’t sign up for their terms and conditions etc. they still took £99.99 from me without me knowing what that was for etc, now refusing to reimburse me, saying that I opened the email so that means I’ve agreed to the contract

I bought a light from Thane , thought it strange when I got a receipt along with the light with no tel.numb or email address.
Scumbags like these are going to make businesses harder to operate as customers will be wary thus not helping the economy, either .
I am £60 out of pocket because of this.

A modern day thief. Same experience as all the other reviews. Bought something from Thane - signed up for this loyalty card scheme without knowing it. Charged £100 a month later even though I had cancelled the card the day after being signed up for it. It is so awful. When I called they said it was an admin error but clearly not as it is happening multiple times. DO NOT BUY FROM THANE

Absolutely disgusting scammers! I bought a steam mop from Thane. Received a ‘courtesy call’ from an Irish gentleman who talked about warranties and free additional items for £1.99. Asked for a password for if I needed to contact them on the phone. Next thing money taken out my bank with an email saying I’ll be charged 99.99. I’ve reported the scam to the bank

I brought a steamer from thane , next day had a call from this company thanking me for my purchase & offering me a £10 Amazon voucher , made me believe they were calling from thane , thick Irish accent , me assuming this was about a warranty for the steamer they ask for a password , then take £1.99 from you’re bank & then it would have been £99 the following month , which I did not give auth to do or give them any bank details ??? On calling Thane to ask why this has happened was told it’s for discounts on shopping , holidays etc , which I don’t need or want , eventually I got a refund from Thane , my only advise I can give is just hang up if these scammers call you & do not give any password to them !!!!

What a dreadful company.
I ordered a thane H2O mop.
Day after I had a phone call with this company that is attached to thane.
Didn’t understand the guy but he asked for a password and I assumed it was for the warranty. How wrong I was. They take £1.99 signing up for some savings club. Look out before you know it they’ll take £99 out. Thankfully I picked up on the £1.99 and cancelled with bank. These thieves can take no more.
I said I didn’t want anything extra on the phone but they went ahead anyway.
They will harass and justify. Please be aware. And thane, get rid of them. Does nothing for your reputation
