I first used comparethecoffin in 2015 for my nans funeral after finding them online whilst looking for a cheaper alternative than the funeral directors had offered.
I then came back and used them again for my mums funeral earlier this year.
Steven is so helpful and knowledgable, the range of available coffins is really good and he really goes above and beyond to help guide you through a difficult time.
Hopefully I’ll never need to use them again - but in the unfortunate event that I do, I definitely would.

Seeking something distinct for the event, I found the perfect choice. I made a call to place my order. The service was outstanding, seamlessly coordinating all details with the funeral directors.

Coffin was really good design as my brother was an avid football fan, it was designed and delivered to the funeral directors really quickly, and the price was affordable

What a breath of fresh air it was to deal with Steven and what a difference he made. Looking for a coffin for your husband is hard enough, but when everything you are shown at the funeral directors just feels so wrong and misaligned with the person he was, thank goodness there is an alternative. I came across Compare The Coffin completely by accident and am now telling everyone about them. You don't have to follow the norm, there is another way. I wanted a black coffin and we supplied the graphics for it, although Steven made an inspired suggestion to apply them to the name plate as well, which looked brilliant. At the end of the service everyone applied a skate sticker, transforming the coffin once more. It couldn't have been better and Steven was wonderful to deal with throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend him or his company.

From the very first phone call with Steven, when I enquired if he had the coffin I was trying to source, we discussed the stain I liked, the handles and then onto the final payment. Steven truly went above and beyond to provide a great service, he was compassionate, friendly and assisted me fully with my choice of coffin at this sad time.

Steve was so helpful in dealing with the crematorium to make sure everything was to standard and the bookcase coffin was just perfect. It brought a smile to everyone’s face on a sad day.

I needed their services over the Christmas period and they were easy to contact despite that. Subsequent communication about the details were quick, reliable and they dealt directly with the funeral directors where possible. At a time when making such decisions was difficult, they were kind, professional and efficient.
The coffin itself was the cardboard Desert Island and was beautiful.

Although the advert was on eBay, it was worth contacting the advertiser because there are other technical things required such as the size.
I needed a particular colour and got exactly what I wanted very quickly, delivered direct to the Undertaker. All the other necessities were fulfilled sensitively and with no stress or fuss.

‘Steve’ was exactly what I needed when I called him. I had no experience and needed help. All I knew is I wanted a Natural, beautiful Coffin rather than a harsh wooden one. Once I found the website and spoke to Steve, the pressure was lifted as he talked me through the whole process, explained that the Director must accept the Coffin you have delivered and also saved me money in the process.
The Coffin was lovely, sturdy, looked really special and was a conversation piece for the remainder of the day.
I can’t thank you enough for providing Mum a fitting send off.

Amazing service, beautiful coffin, I bought the cardboard one with woodgrain and chargeboard for crem, had it delivered straight to mortuary rather than house, everything went so smoothly, and the guys even had me giggling in possibly the darkest days ever, would definitely use again (praying not for a very long time though)

They are very professional and caring, your wishes are carried out to the letter.
I would recommend to anyone, and I will be using them again, but I hope not to soon thank you very much.
