Compass mining the next FTX. The company is a ponzi schemes. They using customer funds to paying off other people. I bought 18 machines and i sold 13 of them; they still own me money and credits. Client can write multiple email but they never trying to solve the problem. They are stealing, cheating and liying all the time. Avoid all cost; You can spend your money much better way; charity or gambling.

Still to this day they have never delivered all of the asics I have bought. I purchased a VIP package and that was a year and a half ago. They are incompetent disorganized and potentially scammers. Avoid at all costs.

I have been a Compass Mining customer since April 2021, currently with 8 miners deployed (I already had 12 at the peak), mining Bitcoin, whose operation is all done by Compass Mining.
I became a miner and outsourced the operation, first to another company, but due to many misgivings, I migrated to Compass Mining.
Fortunately, I can say that my experience as a Compass Mining customer over that time has always been very positive, in all respects.
Obviously, not everything was perfect. At the company's lowest point, there was a lot of uncertainty about everything from the hosting contracts to the ASICs, and even the ownership of the ASICs. This was a moment of great uncertainty and I was very afraid. But that's when the change in direction of Compass Mining took place.
With the change of direction, I realized that the company was serious, and I imagined that the great degree of insecurity in the contracts for the provision of machines and hosting services would improve.
But the change of direction brought much more than that. Since the change of direction, in addition to these serious problems, the entire quality of the service provided has improved. A wide range of new features were implemented on the internal customer access platform, the speed and quality of service improved a lot, and most importantly: clarity and transparency on the terms of service provision.
With that, I feel safe and satisfied to continue using Compass Mining.

I made a stake in the business, Very sluggish installations are excessive billing this is, at the very least, an compass support, but to no avail. 2 of my miner are lost and yet I'm still charged for miners. People treated brutally, but you don't feel bad about it because you don't care about the customers. 🎈 I will certainly stay at Ryver "Tower". In which their payment redraw are fixed 🎈 accurately.
This company took my money and one year later wants more money to deploy the units I ordered

They have a lot of problem´s in the beginning, but calmly and slowly they solve all the first issues with the customers. They are improving every single day.

I went with Compass as a hosting service back in the summer of 2021 and purchased a bundle package with them for 12 miners to be delivered once a month from Dec 21 to Nov 22. As it stands in Feb 23, I have 4 miners with updates that 3 miners were supposed to be deployed every month since September.
Customer service is automated, and it appears to be the same person using different profiles every time they answer.
It seems like the management of this company is severely lacking, and because miners have no other option, they are stuck until they can be released from the year-long lease with them.
I strongly recommend choosing someone else for your hosting service.
Still waiting on full delivery of the mini bundle purchase on September 2021. Support team is incapable of giving me anything but cookie cutter answers. Furthermore, they have the audacity of claiming late payments fees after billing incorrectly for the past months. Would rate 0 stars if I could.

I've been a happy customer since the beginning of 2020, and I have to say that every member of the Compass team is amazing, and overall Compass simply has the best team ever.
A special shout out to Kris Bakker for always being available to help and guide. he is the best of the best!
Thank you guys for an amazing experience 🙏!

I have two hosting providers. One provides consistent uptime, clean invoicing, and is responsive to service requests. The other is Compass.
Late deployment (months of lost time), some machines have been moved 3 times in less than a year, due to site issues. Billing is consistently wrong. Deadlines, for example on warranty repairs, are not kept.
The only reason Compass gets more than one star is that some of the support staff do seem to be trying hard to do their jobs. I have no idea what it's like to work there, but it can't be pleasant, given how many unhappy clients there are.
While many of us have concerns that Compass is stealing hashrate from customers - given the lack of transparency it would be hard to know for sure - simple incompetence appears to be the more likely explanation.
Either way, I'm happy I only placed a small number of miners with them as a test. It's been a frustrating and money-losing experience, and please, please do not host with them!
Just an update - One of my miners that is past due from being out for warranty service for over two months. When I submit or follow up on support tickets, all I hear back is that support has "pinged our service center for an update on this unit and what it's current status is." Tyler Cohoon - can you assist?

Absolute joke of a company. They take your money, and never produce a product. I've been waiting since last September for my 3 miners to come online. It's now February! No refunds, no communication, no service. Stay away from compass mining! 100% Scam!
This is not a review for Compass Mining, the company. This is a review for customer service rep Jesus who works at Compass Mining. Jesus provided a very thorough and detailed explanation to address all concerns of the open ticket. This typically does not happen. Jesus excellent job.

I have been using Compass mining since the peak of the Crypto market in 2021. The crypto mining industry has been a rough ride. I initially mined with 3 companies including Compass. One company failed to deliver with shortages in products and rack space; while the other turned out to be a pyramid scam in the USA and China and currently in class action lawsuit. While, Compass has had some problems out of their control with mining facilities going out of business. They were accommodating in refunding downtime with their credit system despite issues out of their control. Is Compass Mining perfect? No, but considering the number of other companies I have dealt with, Compass has stood up and above whiles others fell or turned out to be scams.

Extremely late deployments, overcharged on invoices (impossible to get these resolved), and customer support is terrible.
Compass has acted on my behalf to get my miners online with economics would otherwise not be available to me. They have dealt with many site operators failing and still continue to find locations my my miners. Competitive market prices, and a marketplace for me to resell my equipment.
STAY AWAY ->
Besides the obvious that they never meet a single deadline, I paid 900$ to ship home 3 of my miners hosted with Compass. 40 days later, shipment paid, but nothing from them
I have another practically “new” that is being repaired, but God knows what will happen with that one too
It is a constant scam, fraud and negligence

Liars and Scammers
Delays with machines. Lost all access to the machines for almost a year now.
The Company, Support Staff, and CEO all lied about what actions were being taken to resolve (later proved to be false, with no action taken). They banned me from their Discord for asking questions about it and the specific references to the contract.
Biggest regret of my financial life was getting involved with Compass
NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!! I purchased 11 miners in May of 2022 for about $70K and I have literally never had them all up at once. The best I've ever had is 8 but its usually 6-7. They still charge you for the hosting, you pay, then you get a credit which is crazy. Also, I cannot say how many times I have reached out to support but I get an email reply 1 for every 3-4 emails I send. I have been waiting 8 months for 1 miner and 6 months for 2 miners to come online. Of the $70k my miners are now worth $22,000 which isn't compasses fault BTC is just down but they have been sitting on the $20K+ I spend on the 3 miners which don't generate anything for and take up my time trying to email and email to see what is going on. Easily the worst investment crypto experience I've ever had, please save you time, energy and money and DO NOT USE COMPASS MINING!
UPDATE: Thank you for reaching Tyler, I am a bit surprised to hear from someone here when I have emailed several times and STILL have not heard back. I get the auto-reply then nothing...

Purchased a bundle of 6 miners in December 2021. Over a year later they are still not online, meanwhile they sit on my (well into five figures) deposit. Biggest mistake of my life. Do not get involved with this company!!!
1/30/2023 - Reply to the message from compassmining.io: I still do not have any miners running; it's 0 out of 6. I sent an email to Tyler Cohoon a week ago and have yet to receive a reply. Does this person even exist? What a joke (and nightmare)!!!
3/16/2023 - Nothing has changed. Tyler Cohoon still hasn't replied to my two messages, even though he claims to offer help to others who have posted to this site in the past couple of weeks. Spent over $80k, and 16 months later I still have nothing, and their support team doesn't (or can't) answer my questions.

Compass has help me build a fleet of 16 miners. I have experienced growing pains with them but overall they are a great company.
