Not the cheapest but......it cost what they said it would, it is the one we asked for, needed no phone contact, arrived on the day they said it would.
Only quibble would be the inner and outer handles are different.

This is the second front door we have brought in the space of a year. One for my property and the other for my partners property. On both occassions, both the customer service has been amazing! Owner of the company Steve, was always accommodating and more than happy to assist with any queries or questions we had. Installation of both doors again was fantastic. Due to excellent level of service we have recommended the company to family and friends.

Firstly I would like to say I am more than happy with final result of the composite door and side panels.

However, there were several banana skins on the route to the final result.

I found the ordering website not as easy to use as other competitors and in particular I wanted a low aluminium threshold. Whilst designing, an illustration of the door is provided in which a low threshold is shown along with the cost. Not until you begin the process of placing an order is this option made available and the price is subsequently changed. Unfortunate for me, I did not spot this and my door dimensions was based on this design. The company was not able to help me with this and pointed me towards their terms and conditions.

After placing the order I was promptly supplied a delivery date. However, the door arrived some 3 days earlier but fortunately, I was at home.

Despite having a door slightly undersize (as I planned for the low threshold) I along with my builder was able to fit the door.

On first inspection everything seemed fine however, we discovered two issues:-

• The bow door handles were slightly damaged at the tips and needed straightening.
• The glass panels within the door (which have a rectangle pattern embossed) were not fitted either in line with each other or square to the door.

Both issues were reported to the company and about two weeks later, new handles and surprisingly new glass panels were delivered to me.

I had no issues fitting the handles however, I was concerned about how the glass panels could be replaced without damaging the door therefore handed this back to the company to resolve. Their response was “as this was a supply only project (in other words you did not use their fitters) they would supply the parts but it is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange the labour for any warranty issues”. They offered to send their fitters @£150 but having to pay either their or my own fitter to solve a clear manufacturing defect I felt was totally unacceptable. They advised, had I noticed these defects at the time of delivery the door could have been returned to be corrected by the manufacturer - I question how I could possibly have noticed the misaligned glass at that stage.
They eventually sent a link to a website from the manufacturer which showed how to replace the glass. Fortunately I have the confidence and tools to undertake this adjustment myself and completed the task to my satisfaction.

Conclusions
I, like other reviewers, had some issues with staff returning calls, including the managing director.
Staff however, were very pleasant when they did correspond.
The company will try the T&C’s card
Supply only customers beware!

Website was easy to manoeuvre and choose the goods we wanted. I made an error when ordering and one e mail was enough to sort out the problem. My door has arrived and is beautiful... I would recommend this company and use again if needed.

After looking around local window manufacturers for a replacement front door a work colleague recommended composite door shop....I’m so glad he did
Local manufacturers didn’t seem interested or ridiculous lead times.
I chose the door,style,colour easily from their web site and within 24hours i was given a delivery date of within 2 weeks.
This delivery date was met and the door fitted with no problems at all..
The wife loves it and if she’s happy the I’m happy.(or so she tells me)

Composite Door Shop installed my front door. I've requested some last minute changes with regards to the glazing that were actioned and the door was delivered as requested. I've also requested after fitting visit as the installers didn't finish the installation to my expectation. This was swiftly actioned by Steve Myers and resolved to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company.

After ordering 2 doors with this company and giving them numerous oppurtunities to correct issues I am sadly having to write this review.

1st Door - Built Incorrectly. Missing Glass, Missing Handle and Missing Beading. After 7 weeks and numerous calls and emails, not to mention so much time spent contacting and chasing we are at the stage where after 2 promised delivery dates we so far have today recieved just the missing glass.

2nd Door- Built incorrectly also and hinges not attached.

My husband is a Glazier by trade so very used to rebuilding and sorting problems but said these were particularly bad.

Nothing offered other than a sorry.

After looking at a number of companies I decided on Composite Door Shop after speaking to an advisor who was very helpful and created the online order for me. The door is of the highest quality, very competitively priced and looks amazing. Ordered 12th Feb and delivered on 3rd March. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a composite door.

Didn't even get past the enquiry stage with this company!
Nobody was available to give me any information I required and was promised a return call that afternoon. By the following afternoon I still had not had a call. As I was not impressed with this standard of customer service let alone what the quality of their doors and fitting services would be, together with other bad reviews,
I will not be doing business with this company.

Fantastic new front door, delivery and installation was quick, smooth and we are very happy with the quality and look of our new door. The whole being able to design the door on the website was fantastic!

Update:
Our door which had been very poorly assembled by the manufacturer (the doors aren't manufactured by this business) and not sealed to make it weather tight was repaired efficiently and proficiently by the designated fitting company.

I have had numerous phone discussions regarding the levels of service and communication initially provided.

Having worked hard to make my point I cannot fault the level of attention my order has subsequently been given.

There is a good company here trying to get out...and certainly an owner who is passionate (perhaps to a fault) about his business.

Likely they have been swamped with "stay at home" house improvers this year and haven't managed to keep up.

I've ended up with a door I'm very happy with at a price I was happy to pay.
Frustrations? Yes....but all resolved professionally to a satisfactory standard....so I've ended up a satisfied customer.

The door is very nice, now weather tight and looking good.

Initial review:
I was prepared to overlook the many gaps in customer service, if in the end the final product was up to standard. Sadly it is not.

It seems clear that a company that does not follow up AT ALL to ask if you are happy with the service or product, must be scared of what the responses will be!

In short the ordering process was disappointing, none of the promised timescales were met and communication was poor.

The door itself looks very nice. However the letter box has a dent which shows up in the light. A section of the door fitting fell off within days.

Now at the first sign of rain, the door leaks BADLY through the window frame. Ironic having paid more for the upgraded insulation!

I have never known a company in this day and age not follow up with it's customers to see if they are satisfied.

That in itself may help you decide whether this company is one you should trust.

I want to reflect “We have been given the run around” review and “appalling customer service” review..... I ordered my door from this company and from start to finish the whole process has been the worst... The WORST customer service... The WORST response in queries.. The WORST attitude of the staff...!! The freephone telephone number that you call for enquiries 0800 112 3230... this is a call centre and they are A JOKE!!!
No point in calling them and asking them a question or a query their standard reply is “We will take a message and contact you within 24hrs” THEY CANT ANSWER any of your simplest queries..... Do They contact you within 24 hrs?........ NO THEY DONT!!!!! 5 times I rang to find out a simple question about the door I had ordered...NOTHING!!!
There first excuse will be to blame COVID...I’m the first person to understand that we are in a middle of a pandemic... I work from home and am in a customer service job.. I always make sure my customers get a response whether it be a e-mail or telephone call... but you get nothing from this company.. It’s disgraceful!

After I paid a deposit and the allocated company came out to measure for my door.. I asked the guys who came to measure my door (who were from CAVENDISH’S Northampton) how long it would take to get a date for my door and they just laughed at me and walked off!!

These workmen turned up without the information about my door to hand.. he said he hadn’t been sent the information on his phone... so didn’t know what type of door I was having... Wasn’t Impressed by his attitude!)

So I phoned the 0800 number and got the same generic response from the call taker and I heard nothing... again I tried calling and e-mailing.. then got an e-mail saying that I should of got another e-mail on how to pay for the door..I am a Cash Buyer!! Got the run around!!

SO FORGET THIS COMPANY! THEIR WEBSITE MAY LOOK GOOD BUT ITS ALL LIES TRY AND FIND A LOCAL COMPANY...I DID!!!

I ordered 2 front doors and was very happy with the service and quality. In particular Steve, who talked through the ordering with me and sorted any issues I had.

Have been given the runaround by this bunch of jokers for the last 12 months. Complete time wasters. Gave an initial deposit for a door and now they won’t respond to emails or telephone calls, I’ve left my contact details with them numerous time and all they say is it’s because of COVID-19. Steve Myers doesn’t respond to emails or phone calls anymore. Other businesses are coping and managing customer expectations without making excuses, not even an acknowledgement to say we’ve received your query. Spoke to a chap called ‘Nigel’ on Friday who promised the same thing, he’ll process my refund by end of the day and give me an update...guess what, nothing. Will never use or recommend this outfit to anyone. Just give my money back please.

Good door but appalling customer service from Steve Myers, lie after lie after lie. FOUR different delivery dates, NO sign of promised £50 refund after NINE MONTHS either, tread very carefully as the company is only a middleman - check out the address on google streetview.

I was recommended the company by a friend who had their doors installed earlier this year. I spent some time looking at the website. Very user friendly and easy to design your own door with any additional extras with associated costs clearly given. No hidden extras so to speak which immediately was reassuring.
I called Steve who was very helpful and was also able to give me more specific advice and able to give me really detailed answers to my questions.
I then designed my door and spoke to Steve about timelines etc. He was really helpful again and always returned my calls promptly if there were any additional queries. Ray came round to do the survey and due to the complexity of the existing door frame he was able to give me really clear advice on how the wall may need to be cut into for the new frame and about how the finishing etc would look. I found him to be very approachable and knowledgeable.
The door was then installed by Ray and Steve who were both incredibly professional, friendly and had a brilliant sense of humour which kept me entertained as well! They informed me about the finishing at every stage and gave me options where possible, offering sound advice if needed.
All in all, a wonderfully professional service, good communication and excellent customer service. Even followed up with a call after the door had been installed.
Only improvement as a previous reviewer has suggested is for updates from the point the door is ordered to when it is installed even if these are just email updates as these would be useful as sometimes the timeframe from the point of ordering to installation could be a few weeks.
