About Conservandsave
Written by the company
It’s an undeniable FACT that no system on the market has been designed specifically for use ONLY in conservatory roofs. However, we believe we have the BEST solution using only the highest quality and most environmentally friendly materials currently available.
But What makes our conservatory system special…
Our insulation foil has a negative carbon footprint and is made from a high volume of recycled materials meaning you don’t have to break the bank, or the environment.
Other “aluminium” quilts are just a plastic cover painted silver. Our pure aluminium outer layer is heat bonded to the core meaning that it WON’T fade over time.
Your conservatory will be cooler in summer and warmer in winter and we have the evidence to prove it.
As a family run business we prefer to let the facts and not marketing mumbo jumbo do the talking for us.

Regret having this done
Regret having this done
I thought I would give some feedback which might help others as they make their decision – as always hindsight is a wonderful thing.
When someone comes to quote you, you will find you have to sign up on the day as there is no other method to do this, they cannot do it online or by email I was told. People should be made aware of this before the booking a quote. You get 14 days to change your mind, but you will have had to have paid a deposit. I was assured that the installation date would be about four weeks away, I got a call the next day offering it in a matter of days, which of course I did not have to accept, but this meant I had to confirm the cancellation of the 14 days review time. I would always be weary of a company who did not have future bookings (should have cancelled at this point). Be aware they do not carry out any type of survey on your roof (other than a look from ground level and giving a personal opinion). You might want someone to actually check the roof prior to having the insulation fitted.
I said during my quote “surely the heat is just going to come through the 2 walls of glass/windows” and I was assured that this would not be the case and that I was just not aware how much heat comes through the roof. Update - I had two cloudy dull days since so not a lot to mention, a cloudy start today eventually got up to 22°c outside, when I came home at 3:00 PM it was 33°c - so this is no better than before and indeed the heat was pummelling in through the windows as I said! I had obviously considered that having the insulation fitted would take some light out of the Conservatory. I had completely misjudged this and sadly now my kitchen and dining room are very dark and dingy whereas they were bright and light, I am so dissapointed.
On the day the “team” (as stated in the contract) were supposed to arrive at 8/8.30am. I had a call saying that the van had broken down and that they were doing everything they could to get to me. One person turned up at 11:30, admitting there would normally be 2 people. He said he would be finished by 4 -4.30 ish. This is a very noisy process with cutting etc and the fitter grunted and groaned all through the day, it was clearly hard to do on his own. He finished at 7.30pm, that was a long day for him….. and me!
At 3pm he had to leave an hour to go and buy bits he had forgotten. He came back with a schoolboy, still in uniform, I was not asked about this.
I had agreed with the salesperson that the ceiling fan, would be removed, I then had to confirm this again when booking in the fitting (people keep saying are you sure??). The fitter took the fan out and put it on my kitchen worktop which I thought was a bizarre place to put this large fan. So, I put it out the front by his van as I was assured they would take it away. Then when I was called into the conservatory I found he had fitted it back again and said nobody had told him it was not going back. So, the whole middle panel had to come out and be replace. This same panel came out again, with loads of others when I mentioned the poor cutting and how it was filled with sealant. They offered to go to the shop and buy something to go round it and I requested it was cut properly.
I did give my feedback on bits that I thought were messy and poorly cut, which then resulted in several phone calls to the office with the fitter keep referring to me as “she” and “her” on his speakerphone and to the schoolboy. I was very annoyed and said I am Janet or the customer…..he really has little understanding of good communication. On 2 occasions the schoolboy also spoke up with his opinion on the situation???? The office had to call the fitter and tell him to send the schoolboy away????
So, all in all, I really regret having it done, had a thoroughly horrid experience with the fitting and would not recommend this company to anyone. Check out their reviews by date and see how many recent ones there are. Think through:
How much light will you lose?
Will it really make any difference, when you have walls of glass/windows letting in the heat?
I have found out since, my neighbour had had his glass treated (as they do in hotter countries) and is very pleased with this. The sale rep told me this was useless, seems like it might have been a better option for me.
To be honest I said that the day had been unacceptable and that they needed to pay some compensation and I was told that they had done absolutely nothing wrong (the schoolboy??) and they would stay there until it was sorted. I asked for them to come back another day and finish it as I had had enough by 5.30pm and they declined. They didn't finish to a standard that was acceptable to me….. but I had to accept it, I couldn't take anymore by 7.30pm, I needed him to leave, they will stay and finish it and make sure you pay that day.

Superb service
Had the inside roof done last year and looks amazing. This year had a new roof on the outside, again looks amazing.
From the initial phone call to Conservandsave to the work being carried out, their staff were all first class. Because of the professionalism of all their staff we didn’t even bother getting other quotes ! Superb.
A great job done by Conservandsave
We are very happy with Conservandsave, they recently transformed our 20 year old conservatory roof into something that now looks amazing. All our contacts with the company couldn’t have been better, from the moment Dawn came to explain how the encapsulated roof works and gave us the quote, to Conner who organised the all the work and Jason and Lee who carried out the work to a very high standard and left everything clean and tidy.
Lovely job
The finished job looks like it's always been there, we find it is working well as the weather gets warmer making the room so much more useable.
Looking forward to seeing what the winter has in store with anticipation.
Unhappy with the repair outside which hopefully won’t compromise the great work inside
We had the inside of the conservatory panelled which was done to a great standard but when we discussed the scope of works we felt assured that that the outside would be adjusted and if needed repaired to a standard that it would not compromise the integrity of the newly installed inside. Despite how happy with the good work that has been done inside unfortunately the outside panels were a second thought we feel assured the panels started slipping down, the end caps came off so we ended up screwing the end caps in place to hopefully making it water tight.
The guys that did the install worked through the day and night and can’t knock their willingness to get the job done
Unhappy with the repair outside which hopefully won’t compromise the great work inside
Delighted with our new En-Cap roof. Would highly recommend Conservandsave.
We are delighted with our new ConservandSave En-Cap tiled conservatory roof and with the both the quality of the materials used and the professionalism and workmanship of the installation team. In January the job took a day and a half but would probably have been completed in a day had more daylight been available.
Our conservatory was built 19 years ago and the original polycarbonate roof was looking the worse for wear, some of the original polycarbonate panels having slipped. We needed to get something done about it but were concerned about the effect this might have on the inner panelling and insulation fitted by ConservandSave some five years previously). We needn’t have worried – it was unaffected and still looks as good as the day that it was installed.
Our shabby old roof has gone, extra insulation and timber rafters have been installed to make the roof stronger and the whole area has been panelled with marine ply before being covered with a waterproof membrane. Finally, the lightweight tiles were fitted in our chosen colour and new facias and gutters added to complete the job.
An excellent job – well done, ConservandSave!

Warm ConservatoryThe whole process from the visit to…
The whole process from the visit to show and explain the insulated roof to it actually being fitted was absolutely first class. The fitters were polite, tidy and efficient. The roof was up within 5 hours and was left clean so we could put the furniture back. Having had a few cold spells since having it fitted, it is warmer in our conservatory. We could feel the difference the next morning after a cold night. We would not hesitate to recommend ConserveandSave for conservatory roof insulation.
Great service from start to finish
Great service from start to finish. We couldn’t be happier. The insulation has made such a difference. Thank you.
Transformed our conservatory
The fitters did a great job, fast, tidy, efficient and very friendly. Our conservatory is now fully useable and looks great. Haven’t experienced the summer yet but so far the product does what it says on the tin!! Only reason for four stars is that the communication from the office wasn’t quite as efficient as I would have expected.

I was also impressed with the gentleman who gave us a consultation and gave us a thorough insight as to what’s in involved
