I believed the Instagram hype about…
I believed the Instagram hype about this clinic and how they put down other places and slate others work I stupidly believed by this that they would be experts - I had profile balancing done by one of their “surgeons”
One injection site got infected and leaked of puss. One area was completely black I had to go to another clinic to have all dissolved and they had to massage and heat up the area that was black without any blood flowing. I messaged this company for a refund or help and I was blocked ? I recently found out the company is owned by a non medic so I feel totally ripped off as I went by how “safe” they appear to be on Instagram with all of these posts . Lesson learned I have spent over £1000 getting this done and now dissolved and have to wait until I can be fixed in the parts that are uneven !
Do your research and find an ethical company
I went as a cosmetic procedure Virgin super excited to go somewhere I’d been following for ages and looked amazing. I went in asking for lips and nose and was told I needed a large amount of filler in another part of my face where they injected/squeezed 3ml into in one go, which upon further investigation is an exorbitant amount of filler to have put in one particular area. The whole thing has completely knocked my confidence, it’s also not as easy or safe as they make out to have filler dissolved which is the road I now need to take. Please do your research, don’t get sold on the Instagram dream by the fluffy photos, do to your face what you wish to do and don’t be told you’d look better or more symmetrical doing something that is one persons opinion of you. The amount of filler they are pumping into peoples faces costs thousands and thousands of pounds and the aftercare they offer is generic copy and paste jobs. The whole place is a money maker who slate and gaslight other peoples work when their own work and ethics are extremely questionable. Don’t do as I did and ignore all these reviews you will live to regret it and miss the face you had before
I'd give this 0 if I could
I'd give this 0 if I could. I paid £140 for 2 consultations as advised by the clinic, with treatment on the day. I was in the clinic for 15 mins total before being turned away without any treatment. They kept BOTH of my consultation fees which I had paid for 1 hour of time. Please avoid so your time is not wasted and you are robbed.
Awful results terrible aftercare
I paid £500 for cheek filler 2 months ago. One side was awful with a big lump that looked like I had been punched in the face. After 6 weeks I emailed them to say that this wasn’t swelling but poorly placed filler and could I come in for a review. I got an automated email to say I needed to wait 8 weeks. At 8 weeks I sent photos in again several times. I got no response at all this time. I then had to pay for it to be dissolved elsewhere. It ended up dissolving my TT filler as well which I then had to pay to get redone.
They are awful clinic with terrible customer service and I would never return again .
Meh. Not the Insta dream.
I have been twice to Consultant Clinic and had a mixed experience. Once in their early days, probably around 2016 and a second time in 2019. My first time, I was mid-20s and woefully under confident. I had saved for tear trough fillers and went for a consultation. The owner Ffyona made me feel very uncomfortable as she pulled faces looking at my side profile, grimacing and stating what 'a shame' it was that I looked this way so young; didn't add to my confidence. Maybe she didn't know she was doing it, but I felt very dehumanised. Thankfully Dr Raph was still there at the time and he was very kind. Unfortunately the price more than quadrupled as they said I'd need 5ml of mid face as well as tear troughs. I couldn't afford that, so I left and had a good cry in the car on the way home. It sounds ridiculous but it really gave me a complex for years about my face.
I decided to give it another try. The second time was another doctor that has now left, and thankfully no Ffyona. I had 1ml of lip filler. It was OK. Nothing special, I bruised a lot. It made a bit of a difference, but nothing significant. I think the dream I was sold on Instagram really wasn't the case. I feel it's over priced and there are plenty of other medic led practices that are just as good and a lower investment. I'd say do your homework.
Unhappy customer
Agree with previous reviews about their poor customer service and unprofessional instagram account. I could probably get over that if what they actually did was as good as their before and afters show, sadly mine was not and I’ve looked odd ever since and am having it dissolved at another clinic. Thousands of pounds down the drain.
Whoever runs their Instagram account…
Whoever runs their Instagram account needs to be fired. Their customer service is awful, they are rude, patronising and care less about their customers. I feel bad for the amazing doctors they have hired as from my experience (been there 3 times)... once you are there with the actual doctors they are lovely. But whorver owns the company and looks after customer service needs to check themselves. So so rude!
10/10
I wanted to leave a review because of all the bad ones I’ve come across on here. I’ve been Dr Helen at consultant clinic Harley street twice now and I have to say I couldn’t have been treated better! I fainted my first time and the care I received was lovely and when I went back to for my second round of FFR it was just as good! I feel sad for all these people who have had a bad experience but I can honestly say mine was wonderful.
Rubbish customer service
Rubbish customer service. They won't answer you at all if you have an issue and they are so rude. Don't recommend
Mixed Feelings
Dr Caoimhe is my favorite Dr at the clinic, she does a great job at botox and lip fillers, however I do agree that the price for 1ml of filler is too expensive. The work only looks more natural is because they fill with a cannula and use softer fillers but I believe you are able to get this elsewhere for a more reasonable price. After about 2 years of using them, I still had migration (which may not necessarily be their fault) and then told to dissolve. I have previously dissolved through them and refilled with them so it just seems like we are going around in circles. Overall I would be happy to stay with Dr Caoimhe for botox but for lips elsewhere because it's too expensive for me to keep filling and dissolving
After reading all these terrible…
After reading all these terrible reviews I was very nervous about attending my appt. I went along anyway. I seen Dr Gareth who was professional, informative and very knowledgable. I am very happy with my lips and so happy I came here. They are more expensive but i would rather pay to see a doctor who is qualified in administering further drugs if anything goes wrong, plus dental block is injected and numbs the area, how ppl have lidocaine cream applied elsewhere prior to filler is crazy it does nothing for pain. Dont let these reviews put u off!!
AVOID THESE COWBOYS
This company is awful. Had my lips filled here in March which were swollen so badly to the point I had to go to A&E and I was having an allergic reaction despite having my lips filled 19 months previous and having no issues. Tried to get through to them and they wouldn’t see me until 8 weeks had passed. Had to visit another company to have them dissolved. They left me in pain and scared.
The owner Fiona is a piece of work. She is constantly ripping other peoples businesses apart on her Instagram account and slates non-medics even though she is NOT a medic because I checked after having my lips filled. Funny though as the non medic that dissolved and saved my lips had much more concern for me and I wasn’t her client. Avoid this place like the plague.
They do not care.
I came here for my first ML after a dissolve.
I had to then email and check they’d actually given me a full ML as I genuinely do believe they do not administer A FULL ML. Myself and a friend went my Dr took her in so then another DR basically said (whoops I’ll do you then). He was lovely and gentle but the owner barged in and started chatting wham to him while I’m laying there like (ok so he’s got a needle in my face and you’re sitting there with your leg on the desk chatting about things I did not request to hear?). I got absolutely snarled for not reading the 176276428633 worded terms and conditions that they don’t accept Apple Pay even though it’s 2021 they’re a “big business” they don’t accept Apple Pay. Also, whilst there I didn’t once get asked what I like? What’s my end goal? What did I want to achieve. I was like cattle! In and out money taken no two week review which is standard for most medical practices where you’re paying over £300 for a ml. Please stop funding this company. These reviews to me are real this review is real. £400 plus for a ML shouldn’t be real.
Strange.
I went to CC after seeing their instagram like many others, during a break in the lockdowns.
I went to the Liverpool clinic, which was down some back alley out of the town centre.
My treatment was fine, however I was surprised when I got into the room the ‘doctor’ (dental nurse) didn’t know what procedure I was having.
Everything felt very rushed, I didn’t feel important or valued and my lips were VERY swollen afterwards - which I managed to hide for two days by wearing a mask. I believe this is normal, they just don’t tell you that this happens when using a cannula which is their signature (just like needle work).
I wouldn’t have said any of this and never left this review, but recently I was thinking of going back for more treatment and I couldn’t find their Instagram handle anywhere. I have two accounts, a fitness profile with many followers and a personal account, and it turns out CC has blocked me on both.
This has left me very confused as I’ve had no interaction with them via instagram for them to warrant this. I know the owner is a bit of a keyboard warrior and doesn’t like negative comments on their feed and blocks a lot of people, but I’ve honestly never commented on their profile or done anything that might trigger her.
This leads me to believe that their might be something unusual going on at this practice, and so to avoid dealing with the fall out from previous clients they just blocked them all on IG.
Please get in touch if this has happened to you, too. I’d like to know how many of us there are.
Awful awful awful
Awful awful awful! Stay away from this place. The totally unexperienced “doctor” Jas horribly injected my lips in February, they looked so weird, and uneven, i have never seen anything like that in my life. The contour was totally f**ed, it looked like my upper lip was injected in a zigzag line (if it can make sense). Apart from that, i was still in pain 6 weeks after, and my lips looked super weird and inflamed. I’ve emailed them to explain the situation and they were acting like nothing is wrong and kept asking for pictures with “great lightning “. Just the pain factor after 6 weeks should’ve been worrying for them and it totally wasn’t. They finally booked me in for a checkup, and the dr decided to dissolve the product called “ Maili filler ” which is a completely new product that they’ve decided to use on me without my consent, while I thought that they were actually using Aliaxin. 2 weeks after this dissolving, i was still in pain, i’ve emailed them, and they said i could go to another checkup after 1 month and then completely ignored me after that. Who would want to wait another month in that situation? What kind of clinic gives you such a response and then ignores you??
I have decided to look for another clinic, and luckily, a friend recommended Signature Clinic London. Dr Melissa resolved my issue, i am not in pain anymore and now my lips look great.
Consultant Clinic is a totally unprofessional and disgusting place. I got fooled by Instagram like many other people here, but i am in the process of taking legal action against them and i urge everyone that reads this review and went through something similar, to do the same . Honestly, this place should not exist.
Beware of 2 week cancellation policy
I’m really saddened to write a negative review about consultant clinic because my first (and only) appointment at Harley Street was excellent. I was not sure what I was looking for aside for Botox and maybe some cheek or more lip filler. The Dr was truly excellent and although I was willing to pay for filler, she told me I would be adding unnecessary volume, I truly appreciated the honesty of her approach and the thoroughness of the consultation and the Botox was well explained and painless!
Unfortunately my experience only went downhill after booking my second appointment in 2022. The day before (over 24 hours before my appointment) I came down with a stomach bug and immediately contacted the desk to see if I could rearrange. I was told there is a two week cancellation policy, which to be honest I found surprising. The suggested alternative to save loosing my booking fee (over £80) was to give my appointment to a family or friend, which I feel is almost an irresponsible suggestion given the clinic provides only cosmetic treatment.
Again, I’m really saddened to write this but I was blindsided by two week cancellation period, and wouldn’t want others to have the same issue. As a result I won’t be rebooking with CC.
Expensive doesn’t mean quality – DO NOT GO!
I have flew in especially to be treated at the clinic. I have paid GBP 3,400 for full face rejuvenation (FFR) and would pay another 3,000 to get my face back, pain free.
They have amazing social media but the picture portrayed there and reality are very different. My face has lumps where the fillers were placed, my chin is now 1.5 the original size (this was not done on purpose). My main issue is that I still have a lot of pain (one week after the treatment), I contacted the clinic and asked to be examined as I had severe pain. I was told that no doctor will see me before 8 weeks, and I was reminded that I signed on their consent form.
So please, save your money and more important – save your face and do not go to this clinic.
I am extremely disappointed by the…
I am extremely disappointed by the clinic. Although The Dr who saw me was very kind, the clinic costumer service is awful, no after care, no way to reach the dr after having the treatment.
I spent £3k on lips and chin!
Firstly, the Instagram pictures are deceiving! They take a picture right after the treatment, put a “special oil” on lips to help for the picture. The day after lips look completely different, and as days goes by, the start looking worse. My face has lumps where the fillers were placed and it all looks worse than before I had the treatment.
The Dr kept saying how this was a business and I thought that yes, I can understand as they do the best job in their field (deceived by Instagram and immediate results), then from day 3 onwards, my face is worse than ever.
Do not fall for the deceptive marketing, and pay a fortune for such a mediocre work.
Please DO NOT GO HERE.
Please DO NOT GO HERE.
I went in for gummy smile Botox and was subsequently told I could do with a mid face rejuvenation, Botox for my ‘hooded eyes’ and that it would cost around £3k! I was made to feel like I needed so much work done, and asked ‘so what do you want to do today?’ - erm, what I’ve booked for? A week later and there is NO DIFFERENCE to my smile. I still have full movement, the Botox has not even made a dent. I have Botox regularly elsewhere (as in, other areas of my face and from another practitioner closer to hone) and I wish I had gone there. I saw the Instagram profile and though I’d be getting a premium service. I haven’t. Also conveniently no way of getting in touch with them, their phone line tells you to leave a message.
Also as a side note, I’ve noticed their Instagram posts have changed a lot. They used to be professional and educational - now it seems to be small digs at other places, slagging off other work, random tiktok posts like ‘what you do when he asks you for nudes at work’… it’s a got a little weird. PLEASE AVOID.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!
Do not go here! Don’t believe what you see on social media, they left me looking deformed and it was soo hard to contact them afterwards for aftercare. Once they have your money they do not care about you. I had gone in to try 1/2ml in my lips as it was the first time I was having anything done to my lips and I just wanted them to look more even. They go in HARD on the upsell, the Dr told me that 1/2ml just wouldn’t do anything and that if I wanted my lips doing I would also need chin filler otherwise I would look odd. She also said that I would benefit from Botox for gummy smile to help balance my lips. Whilst the chin filler did add some balance to my face I wasn’t really given a choice as you feel so under pressure once you’re in the office and a so called professional is telling you what is right. They offer a full face package type thing on their socials/website however, I was not there for that but this did not stop the Doctor taking a picture of my face then getting up a diagram on her screen and pointing out all my flaws and areas that I need filler or Botox. When you’re new to treatments you put your trust in these people because they have the title of Doctor and you just assume that you’re in safe and honest hands. After leaving with an extremely numb and wonky face from the dental block that they use first I just thought I would judge things in a few days once everything had settled. Whilst the numbing wore off the wonky face did not. One side of my mouth basically wouldn’t move when smiling and I was so so worried. After trying to get in touch with them for aftercare I just kept getting told to wait 2 weeks so in the meantime I got help from another practitioner from a DIFFERENT clinic (yes because no one from CC would see me) who assessed the issue for me and I was told my lips were full of lumps and too much Botox had been administered and in the wrong area around my mouth for gummy smile which was causing the uneven face. When I finally got someone from CC to see me, I had to first send a video and then I was asked to attend the clinic again to see someone but I was made to feel like I was causing them hassle and that I was just some paranoid client. The Dr I saw that day was actually really nice to me and she agreed that the treatment had been administered incorrectly and told me I would get a refund. I was told to email about this but when I did I was met with abuse and threats of legal action for slander if I dare to say anything. The Dr I saw told me that they all work on commission from the sales they make in each treatment so that explains the many stories about people going in for 1 thing and leaving with having had 2 or 3 more treatments than they intended. I didn’t want to leave my house I was so self conscious and they just don’t care at all. I wonder how these people sleep at night. Please do your research and go somewhere with a good reputation and reviews and don’t believe the hype of social media.
I just wanted to add to this. Today I have been to another place to have a consultation about my lips. I went to CC about 9 months ago now and I’ve never had any after care help from them and the first thing this new practitioner said to me is that I have migration in my upper lip area, I always wondered if this is what has happened because the area below my nose and the top of my lip had been feeling very puffy. She has dissolved this area for me today and was shocked at how badly done my lips were. I can’t stress enough that you shouldn’t make the same mistake as me, don’t go here.
