Honest review
Honest review - I came on here and read the reviews before I went. I really wish I hadn’t gone to this clinic! Kind of panicked as it was the night before and they obviously make you pay a big deposit when booking the appointments that are non refundable in any circumstance. Firstly, alarm bells for not being registered on Google. Probably because they don’t want the bad reviews. Any negative comments on their flawless Instagram get deleted immediately. Don’t be fooled by their savvy social media, they just know how to make themselves look good on social media and gain following, that’s it.
I went to have a consultation on botox, tear through and cheek filler. I saw Dr Paul. He came across really really nice but I’m not actually sure he knows what he’s doing! My Botox was pretty bad, I ended up with Dr Spock eyebrows. I contacted the clinic immediately and was told that I would have to wait until the botox had settled after 2 weeks. I then contacted them 18 days later and they told me it was too late to fix. I had to contact them exactly on day 14 to be able to get it fixed but looking at their small print they still don’t even guarantee that they can give you a follow up appointment because of their availability. Again, more alarm bells for lack of after care and them making money. That’s all it’s about! This also wasn’t discussed at the appointment and should have been one of the main things, especially with regards to the aftercare you would receive and the strict time limits they have implemented. I also paid for 1ml for cheek filler. This did absolutely nothing, you couldn’t see it at all. This is why I’m not sure if Dr Paul knows what he was doing as I would have liked to have known how much cheek filler I would need to at least see a difference. I ended up paying for filler that I could not see. If I would have been advised on the exact amount I would need (or even close to) I could have made a more informed decision instead of literally wasting money. I spent nearly £1k on botox and fillers that was really quite bad! When Dr Paul put the filler in, it was if he panicked because he had put it in the wrong place and frantically started to massage my cheek/face. The only thing I have been left with is a ball under my skin on my left cheek. I have since learned that they are also supposed to do a swab test on the filler dissolving solution because if you’re allergic to this, they can’t ever dissolve them! So if they go wrong, you’re stuck with it! This place isn’t cheap either, I would say it’s about £200 per treatment more expensive than other places that are just as good. It’s a real shame that this clinic is not open to receiving feedback to improve their treatments and over all customer service. Whilst I was in there, the receptionist was boasting about how they never give deposits back if people need to change or cancel their appointments. Be very aware of this place!
My first time and I honestly can't recommend The Consultant Clinic enough!
First ever visit this week and nothing but good things to say about The Consultant Clinic!
I had my first apt on Monday for Full Face Rejuvenation and Profile Balancing. This is my first time and I wasn't sure exactly what I needed, though I had an idea of what I might like.
Dr Gareth was polite and professional and he had the most calming demeanour. I was very nervous but I felt comfortable in his presence and was able to relax a little.
The consultation was thorough and unrushed, I explained what I thought I'd like done and he examined my face and made some subtle compliments towards a couple of my features (which was really nice!), whilst tactfully suggesting what he thought I could benefit from and why, explaining how the face changes over time and how he could improve the things mentioned.
There was one particular area he touched on, but he did say that it’s only very subtle so unless it really bothered me, it probably wouldn’t be worth spending £400+ on and that I could probably get away with leaving that for some time, which was very honest of him and I agreed to not have treatment in that area for now.
We agreed on what I'd like doing, so he wrote up a list, including how many ml’s he recommended for each area and the costs.
I was really happy with how he went through the costs/pricing. I really despise pushy, high pressure sales tactics, but there wasn't a single point where I felt pressured to make any decision.
He insisted that IF I wanted to have treatment that day, we could pick which from the list I'd like that day, then create a treatment plan for further visits and said that many people who go ahead with treatment do the same thing.
It was better for my personal situation to go ahead and have everything done in one go, rather than spread it out over multiple visits and fortunately, I was in a position financially to do so, though I did take a minute to think it over before making a decision and this wasn’t any bother.
I was nervous to the point of shaking whilst on the couch, but he was so reassuring and gentle and made sure I was OK throughout.
I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I did have a lot done in one go, so when he was finished my face was extremely red and swollen and a little bloody in spots!
My recovery has been a little rough, I’ve been sore, swollen and bruised and I was worried about whether or not I’d like it, but the results are slowly starting to show now and so far, I couldn’t be more pleased.
I bumped into an old friend today and he questioned the bruises on my chin, so I explained I’d had some work done, to which he said he thought something was a little different but couldn’t put his finger on what! That’s only 3 days into the healing process whilst I am still swollen.
For anyone who is thinking of booking in and is concerned about not knowing potential costs, I was also worried about this but they were totally understanding of budgets and as someone who hates being “sold to”, I didn’t feel that way in the slightest.
This was a complete contrast from my two previous experiences in the past from other companies.
All in all, it was really apparent from my experience that this company prioritises ethics before profit, and I really can’t recommend them enough. I have absolutely zero qualms about booking in for any top ups or further treatments when/if necessary!
RED FLAGS!
Please read the other one star reviews. Some immediate red flags you should find is that when you google The Consultant Clinic immediate address and Google review section does not appear, Ive been on the search for a good aesthetic clinic for a long time and this is the first time Ive seen this. Every clinic directs the customer to a booking page or their own website, their instagram links to Feefo a review page but no one is free to post a review. I wanted to post on there but it was clearly a selective review process.
Furthermore, the website isn't very user friendly, I was rather confused looking for the booking links and there was a big emphasis on costly consultation deposits that would definitely not be refunded. There are major clinics in the UK that don't do that so this one proves a focus on money over clients. Furthermore, as of personal experience I prefer a female doctor. Other great clinics make no qualms about letting the patient easily choose who to book with when they're available. I asked them via direct messege and in the post comments several times over a few days and was promptly ignored, if you're not advanced as even a GP practice to ask the client who they want their very expensive consultation and FACE INJECTIONS done by ignoring the messege doesn't help your case either. If anything it prompted me to do some real research into this clinic.
Certainly the instagram makes it look too good to believe but I'm glad trustpilot is here because this clinic MAKE SURE to direct you to their very particularised review page to build a misleading image! Deeply awful as they present themselves as the safest and best clinic, but a person can't even navigate the booking page seamlessly with the practioner they prefer. Avoid until they respond to these queries proffessionally!!
Wow do not use
How can somewhere that looks so amazing on Instagram be the complete opposite of what it portrays? All I’m saying is READ THE REVIEWS AND BELIEVE THEM. There’s a few forums if you search google that will tell you everything you need to know about the place. The owner isn’t even a doctor or medically qualified in any way? Which I find soooo weird, she’s also done work on people before and trains the doctors how to do treatments even though she isn’t qualified? prices are extortionate which isn’t even excusable as there’s many people with the same qualifications and experience as the doctors they use (all the women are dentists etc not doctors) that don’t charge that amount. Luckily I didn’t have a proper treatment with them, I had it booked but am just going to lose my £120 NON REFUNDABLE deposit, I went in for lip dissolving prior to my proper appointment, I pulled up outside expecting to be blown away by amazing customer service and a really well presented clinic etc and some amazing posh place (you know to reflect the prices they charge), but it was nothing like this! The room I went into was filthy and not clinical at all, the carpet was covered in stains and looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed for a year and the decor was from the 90s or something. Whilst the woman I saw (Dr Rebecca I think?) was quite friendly, she kept yawning whilst talking to me and saying sorry, I also noticed the work on her own face was not good which is what put me off coming back for any treatment, they scream on social media about not having ‘ledges’ on the lips from the side but that’s exactly what she had? In fact I’d say she had quite bad filler migration and they looked quite puffy and there was also a visible lump. I’m not sure if her lips were even done by one of their practitioners, because they seem to have such a high staff turnover so I’m not sure how long she has even worked for them. It just really is NOT the same as what you see on their social media please don’t believe the Instagram, they still use pictures of doctors work who haven’t even worked there for years… they all leave and start up on their own. Hours after my dissolver I went to massage my lips and had a sudden large swelling, I was obviously worried as it was only one side of my lip that ballooned within seconds, so I emailed the help desk and was gave quite an arrogant, cutting response, nothing reassuring or nice to a worried patient.
Please read before booking with them!
I wish I saw all these reviews before booking and going to these people. All the reviews are true! Came to the New York office. Was introduced to Dr. Kevin and I believe her name was Ffyona. While sitting down during consultation with the both of them, Ffyona goes on FaceTime with someone which I think was her daughter. Very unprofessional. It should have been a red flag when I saw the work done on her face because it was not flattering and did not look good at all. But I continued with the procedure by Dr. Kevin. First time having lip injections and my lips resulted in lumpy areas both top and bottom. It also migrated outside the borders of the lips. When I reached out, they basically said it's normal and it will even out. In which it never did. Came back to the office to see Dr. Kevin and what he said was "unfortunately, bad things happen to nice people". I was taken back. Please please please be careful before going to them. I just want to warn people before it could happen to you as I see I'm not the only one who experienced a botched work. They even blocked me on Instagram when I left a message saying that I had a bad experience.
Make you more insecure about your looks
Immediately after getting there, Ffyona, the owner sat me down with my injector and started pointing out my ‘flaws’, a total of $15K worth of them. Then when I said I don’t have that kind of money, she insulted me by saying I should invest in long term solutions rather than paying small amounts for small procedures. I’m 40 but have pretty good skin yet was suggested a lot of Botox, there were comments about my flat chin (which I had no idea about, making me even more self conscious about my appearance), there were comments on my laugh lines, dark circles, mid face sagging and a lot more. I actually had tears in my eyes all the while she talked. When I still said I couldn’t afford it at the end of her ‘expert opinions’, she quickly lost interest in me and left the room.
Went home crying all the way. I thought they were in the business of making one feel good about themselves and NOT make them feel more insecure than most women already feel. Imagine the scores of women who actually listen to their ‘bullying’ and give into them, parting with their hard-earned cash. Ever noticed their Instagram these days, they only post about full face rejuvenations. Easier making a truckload of money at one go rather than spending time doing lips, tear troughs I guess.
Horrible horrible experience. Fyona is a total bully and a nasty piece of work who keeps injecting herself every time she looks in the mirror (her own doctor made this comment as I guess even he was embarrassed by her unrelenting comments on me, to me). She really shouldn’t be offering beauty advice to others that’s for sure.
Avoid at all costs unless you want filler migration
I recently got my lips filled by one of their doctors- Dr Richard Devine. I cannot believe the result after 7 weeks- i have a full on filler moustache from where the filler has clearly migrated above my lip. The guy had absolutely no idea what he was doing and has injected way too much filler (also incorrectly placed) into my lip. He was rude and kept going on his phone throughout the appointment. I am now stuck with awful looking migrated filler lips. I emailed photos to the 'helpdesk' and they made it hard for me to book a follow up appointment as they clearly realised that the doctor had completely messed up my lips, then told me he had handed in my notice.. then they were sending back rude snarky comments, I sent updated photos to them of the complete mess that was my lips and one of their doctors then called me the next day to tell me i may have a 'hypersensitivity reaction'. I have now been to an alternative doctor who has 100% said they just placed too much filler incorrectly and it migrated way above my lip. I am going to have to get it dissolved. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If you saw the photo of what they did to me you would not go near this place.
Absolutely gutted I visited this rip…
Absolutely gutted I visited this rip off clinic and parted with £1500 of my money, but as they say, you live and learn! The doctor doing my procedure was on pins the whole time because the owner was in room, he’s obviously told to encourage people to have more filler than required because filler is ££££ signs for her. The owner spent the whole time on her phone and hardly looked up when speaking to me. I should have got up & walked out, the warning signs were there and I’m so annoyed with myself for not leaving there & then. Don’t trust the doctors, their working for her and like lap dogs with her. Avoid at all costs!
Please read the non biased patient reviews on trustpilot before considering
I dont think I need to make the understatement of the century by saying how strange, dishonest, and unprofessional the clinic owner behaves on social media. She will engage with a full blown squabble (followed by a block) with literally anyone who questions or critiques. It's fascinating.
Anyway, I had a thankfully very minor (albeit permanent!) complication at their hands post filler. If they are the gold standard of safety and ethics in aesthetics, why did I have to contact their Instagram, wait hours in a panic, only to get a rude one line response that offered no explanation or responsibility for marking my face? After I parted with almost £500 for a 10 minute appointment? Obviously no doctor in this 'doctors only' clinic ever reviewed or diagnosed my complication. Im so thankful it didnt get worse as I had literally zero support.
I encourage anyone tempted to go here to avoid their edited Instagram pics and read all the reviews on trust pilot from REAL past customers (prior to all the drama below- about 50 reviews back).

I’m a registered healthcare professional.
I saw what CC did in relation to the occlusion that was caused by a beautician and as a registered HP who takes a vow to adhere to a code of ethics from the day I am registered, in both my personal and work life; I can assure you that the way the CC acted in terms of this particular occlusion was unethical, and downright bullying.
I have seen one of their Doctors whom I won’t be naming refer to the beautician in question as a “cretin” who is “making it all about herself” (this was post suicide attempt).
The posts the CC shared were derogatory, and bullying. As HP’s I do believe we have an obligation to educate people, but absolutely NOT in the way that was displayed by the CC. We have an obligation to adhere to a moral code of ethics - or perhaps some of you have forgotten that? As a registered HP, what I think of beauticians injecting is absolutely irrelevant. It’s legal and they are qualified. However what I do care about are potential clients education when making an informed decision on who their injector should be.
They named the beautician, shared her private photos of herself, essentially called her a “liar” for experiencing suicidal thoughts, slandered her, and all beauticians and their practice.
I’d love to see you mock people cleaning toilets, or working in McDonald’s? My bet is you wouldn’t dare, because it’s out of order. So why do you subject beauticians as a whole to this hate? I understand that we have an enhanced medical background, believe me I do, but the behaviour displayed by the CC would warrant an investigation from my regulatory body if I were acting in that way online, and bullying. What about yours?
If you are a HP and you condone this behaviour, maybe you shouldn’t be.
Did you forget to mention your voice…
Did you forget to mention your voice note. No one with a background in mental health would say such things!
You also did not mention in your post the use of the word Lalaland? It didn’t take long for people to put 2 + 2 together.
What are your qualifications @ffyona ??
Yes it was amazing what you have done to raise awareness and the way you stepped in to help Leah.
The way you went about “advertising” your help is atrocious!!!
Please read reviews and AVOID!
Terrible company, even worse customer service. I spent thousands having my previous filler dissolved and re-filled over multiple sessions. I was left with a HUGE lump which I was told to ‘massage’, they refused to see me again for 4 weeks... which led to eventually being ignored by help desk and the owner after multiple emails and messages. Luckily, I found a lovely girl in Clitheroe who dissolved immediately. The lump was stopping the oxygen flow to my top lip. Please, please do not believe their Instagram or social media. It’s all a scam. Their prices are ridiculous and you can get much a much better service elsewhere. Please read reviews before letting them near your face, and charging the earth for it. They are rude, greedy and extremely unprofessional. Do your research and choose wisely.
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. I’m a medic and unfortunately complications happen to us too. It’s a sad world we live in where a company tries to bully a person for a medical/beauty (yes both) mishap. Shame on you. You’ve shown how highly unprofessional and desperate you are. You should know better.
Amazing company, 1 star review are from jealous beauticians
Amazing company been going to them for a while. All these one star reviews are probably from one person or friends or the injector that caused a vascular occlusion to a patient’s nose (which the consultant clinic fixed free of charge) they never posted the beautician’s name (the one that messed the poor girls nose) they merely showed people the consequences of going to a non medic. Facts are facts. Yes this could have happened to a doctor but 90% of occlusions happens from non medical people. And the other 10% (medical people) that cause an occlusion know how to solve it and are prescribers which mean they can administer medications to fix their mistakes. Beauticians shouldn’t lie and say the are nurses or medical professionals it is unethical. Beauticians should not inject. You do know medicine, you do not know anatomy, you do not know the blood supply to the face and the nerve supply to it. I’m a medical professional and I’ve spent all my life in school just learning about this. Yes, as a medic I can have complications, all medics do but atleast I can fix it, you can’t, simple as that. And for all the comments saying “heart surgeons and brain surgeons all make mistakes too but only beauticians get bashed” you are speaking of a completely different topic. If you ever get a complication from a doctor that is registered with the GMC, the doctor takes full responsibility. The doctor and medical team do M&M meetings to discuss how things went badly and how they can prevent it from happening. There are resources to help the patient, family and friends cope with anything that happens. There are audits that are being performed on a daily basis to see how things are and how to better improve them. My point is, if a doctor makes a mistake they take responsibility, if a beautician messed up your face they will either
A) ignore you
B) not be able to recognise an occlusion because they are non medics
C) if they had any sense of decency they will ask you to go see a real doctor because doctors know how to fix mistakes.
You don’t compare beauticians to doctors who spent decades in school, please respectfully stay in your lane. There is nothing wrong with sticking to what beauticians are meant to do.... which is to make us prettier, just stay away from the needle please and thank you. The CC fixed your mistake, you should be thanking them and quit injecting if you had ethics. And all of the CC (being medically trained) have experience with mental health and suicide because they went to medical/ dental school. A lot of them have backgrounds in GP or surgery so they know the seriousness of what is going on. Don’t blame them for your incompetence. If you have any sense of decency leave this company alone!
Highly unprofessional please AVOID
Vile disgusting company
Vile disgusting company. After unleashing a hate campaign against another practitioner. She sadly tried to kill self, only for the owner of this vile company to then say she had a back ground in mental health and in her experience if someone was going to kill themselves they would and that this women is a liar and is “bonkers.” When confronted you are blocked and deleted.
I have got more respect and dignity in my little toe than this company has. No apology for what they have done and they have continued to post about other practitioner knowing full well what this can do to them.
Vile human beings.
The most horrible place
The most horrible place. Please AVOID this place, they are UNPROFESSIONAL 110%.
Doesn’t even deserve a one star
Doesn’t even deserve a one star. Disgusting comments against a practitioner who has tried to kill her self ! Don’t go to these people who try and big themselves up by bringing others down !!! Should be closed down !!!!!
