My monthly bills are too high when…

My monthly bills are too high when compared with everyone else. I don't think anyone has been out to actually read the meter in months so I'm getting an estimated bill that is higher than normal.

Finally, we can go off-gas.

We renovated our multigenerational home in 2024, installing two heat pumps and two separate HVAC systems. Getting off gas was not easy. We had to keep our account open even though we used no natural gas so that we could qualify for an insulation improvement grant. Finally, we got Enbridge to come and remove our gas connection. Like second-hand smoke, second-hand carbon is killing people around the world, but oil and gas companies are avoiding manslaughter charges.

I'm soon to be 76,I find difficult making ends meet ,have worked since about 13 yrs. Old never imagined I would have to struggle like this ,my home is a very modest bungalow but still get charged high fees for gas hydro water etc. Do well to have money for food when done paying utilities
