Worst Internet Shopping period

On multiple occasions this store has let me down - I thought supply chain issues and the pandemic were the reason but not so! They're just terrible at customer service, order fulfillment, and all other aspects of retail. Save yourself some grief and shop elsewhere.

Stay Away! Dispute with your bank if placed an order

Stay Away! Don't even bother shopping from them. They advertise prices too good to be true. You fall for it, and you order, then never hear back again.

Sent 5 e-mails, didn't hear from them. If you call, they redirect you to an e-mail address. No representative, no real person behind anything. Absolute Scam. Do yourself a favor and don't even bother calling them, just dispute with your bank. Got my money bank in 2 days.

What a joke!

They're good at taking orders. Just not filling or delivering them.

I placed an order in early September 2022 and was told an email would be sent when the order was shipped. I didn't hear anything within a couple of weeks so checked at the end of September, and they said the products were delayed and would ship in late November. I checked again near the end of November, and now it was "early December". I asked for a refund and immediately received an email with an "update" saying their inventory was coming in "a little sooner", and they refunded me $10 for my frustration. Well, early December has come and gone and when I asked (again) to cancel my order and get a refund, they ghosted me. I've sent two follow-up emails with no response. So, I was forced to contact my credit card company to get a refund - and they, too, are waiting for feedback from the merchant.

I highly, highly un-recommend this company. I'd give them a zero rank if allowed.

Went out of business but still taking online orders

UPDATE DEC/14/22: After some internet sleuthing I have learned that all employees of the company received an email on December 5th notifying them that they were shutting the company down effective immediately, the website continues to be active and accepting purchases.

Placed my order on November 20 I’ve sent about six emails asking for a status update with no response and I have attempted calling them but you can’t get through to anybody, ever. Total scam. and the audacity of them to continue sending me marketing emails.

Do not order from this website!!!

Update: Dec16/22 submitted a complaint to BBB and Consumer Protection Services. To date, have heard nothing back from Cookstore.

I placed an order Nov22/22. By Dec9/22 I'd received no notice of shipping but my credit card had been charged Nov23 (over 200.00 with tax and shipping). Calling was useless since the only pre-recorded message said to email with any questions and assured that a reply would be within 24hrs.
Have heard nothing.
I've never had an issue like this with ordering online and felt fine ordering from this company since the website seemed to deal with reputable manufactures and it was Canadian, located in Windsor. Then, I looked up reviews on third party sites. Wish I'd done this before ordering but I didn't think I needed to.
Live and Learn but I certainly hope something comes of these similar reviews. Upset is an understatement.

Guess I'll join in on the bashing of cookstore.ca. Wow is all I can say. You just take fore granted that most online e-commerce sites conduct business properly today. Not cookstore.ca. I ordered a 12.5" scanpan. It showed in stock. After 18 days I inquired when it will ship, they said their shipment is coming in next week. I thought that was funny because when I ordered it showed in stock. Anyways, December 12, I follow up again asking for an order update, no response. Called and emailed endlessly on December 13th, and no one answers the phones or responds to emails. Purchased through paypal, now I'm going through their dispute resolution to get my money back. Way to go Cookstore. Another unsatisfied customer.

Take your money but don't ship products

As soon as you submit your order, they charge your credit card. It's been 2 weeks since I submitted my order with no email regarding when the items will ship. I have tried phoning them several times, after waiting on hold for 30 minutes, they disconnect you saying they have technical problems. They don't answer emails. I will have to submit a dispute to my bank to get my money back because they do not ship your product or communicate with you.

Run Away Fast

Run, do not order from this web site. Order placed 02 Dec, charged credit card, never issued invoice. Email to ask for invoice, email to follow up, called, no human,another email asking to cancel, another followup. No response at all. Waiting to claw my money back from Visa. Just totally a waste of time.

This company is a scam and I do not…

This company is a scam and I do not understand how it can still be promoted on Google and tolerated by Canadian authorities. I ordered a Staub pot FOUR MONTHS AGO because their listed price was the cheapest. I was notified that the product I had ordered was on back order and so it would be shipped in 3-4 weeks. I acknowledged the fact that everything was being backed up by the global supply issues so I decided to wait. After a month, I had not receive any update on the shipment so I emailed them and they apologized and notified me that the order would now ship 3 weeks later than expected and if I kept my order they will throw in a bonus item that was about $40 in value. I accepted the offer. And now two and a half months after I placed an order, I emailed them and they again apologized and told me it would be another 3 weeks. At this point I already waited too long to just cancel the order so I conceded and almost forgot about it until two weeks ago. That's when I decided to do a search on Google on the legitimacy of the company because it definitely smelled like a scam. Lo and behold, there are ton of feedbacks that said this company has been doing the exact same thing to countless other customers and some never received a refund upon canceling their orders. I freaked out and emailed them to cancel my order and got the confirmation shortly. After about a week, the refund was issued through my PayPal account, which was a relief. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM COOK STORE. This definitely is a scam and a few posts I've seen that claimed their products eventually arrived is dubious at best. Pay that extra $30 from a reputable dealer for your Staub and have a peace of mind.

Don't ship in a reasonable amount of time.

I have to concur with the reviews I've been reading. They sell at prices they can't afford to keep any stock. Therefore, they basically just drop ship or act as a middle man.

I wished I never ordered there. Other dependable stores have stock at a similar price.

Absolute scam of a company

Absolute scam of a company. I’m convinced that every 5 star review on the review sites HAS to be fake and created by them.

I’d be ok with my items taking 3 months IF the company communicated the delay to me. Instead, people place orders and then get completely ghosted. This is no way to run a business. I’m shocked they’re still around but they must be paying quite a bit to be boosted on google search results. I think people get sucked in by thinking they’re supporting a Canadian company

Shame on you, owner of Cook Store! Do better.

BS company that "sells" what they don't even have in stock! Beware!

Ordered two pans over a month ago, they only sent one, the other never even shipped out. Turns out it was backordered and they knew this but listed it for sale anyways not even having the item in stock to sell! So dishonest and misleading! Took multiple emails to get the truth. Got refunded no problem but what a waste of time.

Don't support this unethical business, support online retailers with integrity that don't jerk people around
