Hard to use stove

We had a very disappointing experience with Corbeil Appliances. My parents purchased a stove in August after clearly telling the salesperson they wanted a simple, easy to use model with no convection or extra features. They were explicitly trying to avoid anything complicated.

What they were sold is the exact opposite. The stove has convection and multiple advanced features they never wanted. Worse, the knobs are extremely difficult to read, making it hard to tell which burner is on or what temperature is set. For older users, this makes the stove frustrating at best and unsafe at worst.

As a result, my parents can barely use the appliance they paid for. This feels like a clear case of being sold something that did not match their stated needs. We are now left trying to resolve an issue that should never have happened.

I would strongly recommend being very cautious, clearly documenting what you ask for, and double checking the exact model before purchasing.

Good LG stove (so far) but "in stock" on web site may not be true

Did the research and picked an LG induction range. Corbeil web site said it was in stock. Needed building permission to install, so delivery date set to a month away. Permission came through fast, and when we tried to move up our date we were told it was back ordered to end of next month. Not happy.

Salesman Arun Goyal helped us switch to a nearly identical previous model that cost us less. It arrived promptly and the delivery process was smooth. After 2 days it is an excellent range and maybe better for us than the new model. So in the end we are very happy.

Many bad reviews of Corbeil service when something goes wrong. Can't comment on that, but I can say that "in stock" on the web site may not be true.

Pray nothing goes wrong

I have been a Corbeil customer on a number of occasions. They are good at delivering what you ordered. Unfortunately, they are useless if there is a problem. A microwave I ordered did not work out of the box, they were painfully slow to respond, asked for photos of the box (which was gone), and punted me to Panasonic to deal with the issue. The store will not deal with online orders.

Scammers...fraud....bad business

I ordered a refrigerator online yesterday and got an email saying the product was out of stock. It would take 3 to 4 weeks to get it. That I could order something from the website using the "in stock" filter.
Or wait.
I requested to cancel the order. I see from the previous review this is what they do to people to get money and then take their time giving it back. Hey message for Corbeil: I will never buy from you again and why are you selling out of stock items on your website. Obviously you wait until someone orders to get it from the manufacturer to lower your costs. That is shady business. Enjoy the karma coming your way. I hope you have fun in jail.

Fridgidare fridge dead in 4 months

We bought a Fridgidare fridge and it stopped working in four months. It took a week to get a repair man. When he arrived he had a replacement part in his hand (temperature dial). He did not need to examine the broken fridge because he knew Fridgidaires failed prematurely because of th faulty temperature dials.

A simple, quality delivery meeting all needs

I ordered a fridge for our office. Agent phoned back as price had dropped. No delivery charge. Took two days from order to delivery. Drivers got here when they said, delivered to our office inside of office hours, were personable and efficient. What else is there? I have used Corbeil before for personal needs, and will certainly do so again.

I bought 5 appliances 6 months ago and…

I bought 5 appliances 6 months ago and the refrigerator still won’t work properly. Corbeil takes 0 responsibility and will refer you to the manufacturer and then it’s repair after repair without replacing the item for one that works. I paid for a fridge that works and every day I throw food out. I will NEVER be buying anything from them again. Be ready for daily calls to GE if ever your appliance doesn’t work and Corbeil will do NOTHING to assist you.

My senior parents purchased both Maytag…

My senior parents purchased both Maytag washing machine and dryer. They received the washing machine October 30th. The extended warranty was taken by Whirlpool. The washing machine never worked. It's been a month. I've tried calling both Whirlpool and Corbeil. Neither one is taking responsibility blaming the other. When talking to the manager Abdul at Corbeil Pointe Claire, he was rude and hung up on me. After entering the store, and explaining my issue, he told me to leave.

Poor service

Poor service. Not flexible. Delivery very complicated and had to take several days off because kept getting delayed. Impossible to get installation. I don’t recommend.

I wish I could give them zero star!

I wish I could give them 0 star!
You'd better hope you have no issues with any of the products. They have the worst customer service.
As soon as they sell you the product, you are on your own.
The fridge had an issue when the plumber came to install it. Called them a few days after the delivery but they said that I should have let them know 48 hrs after delivery.

Terrible experience … no one at Corbeil…

Terrible experience … no one at Corbeil was able to install a new wash machine … and finally no one was able to remove the old one … we paid an extra for the installation and finally for the removal. In conclusion, if you need ´´nothing’´ please call Corbeil!

Terrible after sales service from Corbeil (Acadie)

Terrible after sales service from their Acadie store in Montreal. The manager served us and we spent a huge amount on all our home appliances with him.

1st: As a store manager, he gave us the wrong spec sheet for the in-wall oven installation cutout dimensions for the cabinets!! Guess what? In the end, we had to redo the cabinet at our expense because he didn't give us the right information.

2nd: After 6+ months of waiting, our original dishwasher is no long available and he wants us to buy a newer model (a more expensive one) or take delivery of an open box floor model of the original model that we ordered!!! What kind of business dealing is this? Are they forcing us to remove the old stock from his inventory?! It's so upsetting and sleazy.

3rd: Oh and their delivery service is terrible, they sent us a in-wall oven with a puck in the back and said that it's normal and that we need to accept delivery. Or not go figure this out with the manufacturer. If this happens to you, don't sign anything. Make them take it back because Corbeil will not come and exchange it because their delivery guys and them gang up on their clients.

4th: The sales rep even showed us in his system where clients had placed orders back in 2019 and were still waiting for their appliances! We asked why didn't they get their appliances yet, it's been almost 2 years...well, he said, "I don't care, if the client is sleeping on the switch, I'll followup with them when they call me." This should have be a red flag for us. Just shows that he has zero professionalism and morals.

5th: Going back to our damaged in-wall oven, even escalating the complaint to their district manager, no calls are returned. Their chat service reps and store receptionist never relay the messages!! It's just a mess and no wonder people had warned us to stay away from Corbeil.

If you need appliances, don't go to the Acadie store, they promise everything but once they have your money, they don't care who you are. Should have bought all the appliances at CAS.
