I’d never go elsewhere

Been going to cosmetic couture for 4 years , and I’d never risk my face to anyone else. They always look after me , give great advice, very knowledgeable practitioners and pleasant environment. Highly recommend it to everyone, because it being the no1 training academy for aesthetics, you’ll get the first hand expertise

I Would AVOID THIS PLACE

I had my consultation with a practitioner called ‘Kristie’, whilst having a general conversation she made reference to having a complex when she was younger because people pointed out that she had an Asian nose (although she mentioned having Asian in her somewhere along the lines, this was Not apparent). I’m sure she is aware that by making such comments you can be perceived as a Racist! I was also shocked to hear that she was a former mental health nurse.

Looking back now, I should have seen this as a warning sign. Unfortunately, I chose to ignore the comment and I went back for further treatments. I subsequently booked in for a model treatment, Kristie was supervising a few students that day. I thought Kristie came across rude, abrupt and was very unfriendly. In front of Kristie I had a conversation with the students as to why I was looking to have a particular treatment. When the treatment was finished and I was exiting the room, one of the students made a comment and the whole group started to laugh very loudly. I felt humiliated, I have never come across such behaviour, what was supposed to be a pleasant experience turned out to be awful.

Shortly after I spoke to the owners niece and emphasised the ‘importance of good customer service’ she informed me that Kristie had been working with them since the business was formed and that she would raise the matter at the next board meeting. I am presuming Kristie would have been notified. I did not want to perceive everyone else negatively, so decided to continue having further treatments, but with a different practitioner.

In October I had booked in for another treatment over the phone, funnily when I got to there, I was informed that I had not been booked in, but to take a seat in the waiting room. I then saw Kristie, as I walked passed, she said hello, I looked at her and chose not to respond, considering how I was treated previously. Kristie then made a loud sarcastic comment as I had not responded to her. I then went back to reception and asked whether my treatment would still be going ahead, the practitioner (Paulina) who was supposed to be doing my treatment ‘rolled her eyes’ said yes and told me to go back to the wating room. Kristie was also in the reception area, I confronted her about her behaviour towards me, she said I was rude by not responding to her, I was firm and told her that I didn't like the way I was treated previously by her, she then told me to go and take a seat. The next thing you know, someone from management came down and said that ‘our staff don’t tolerate such behaviour’. (It appears that staff can be rude to customers, but customers are unable to firmly put their point across!). She also said that their staff ‘work as a team’ and that the practitioner (Paulina) did not want to do my treatment that day. I informed the manager of my experience, and asked her that if she was in my place, would she have responded to Kristie, she said ‘probably not’. I was then advised to send an email detailing my compliant, but have since received no response.

I was treated appallingly, this place is very unprofessional, the staff are awful and there appears to be a ‘gang style’ culture here.

I have also spoken to the JCCP who can act as a intermediary in some cases concerning complaints against practitioners. Apparently the JCCP is aware of this company and advised me to ‘never to go there again’, I think that speaks volumes!

WARNING WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COSMETIC COUTURE!

I also had a bad experience similar to the previous review. I would not advise any treatments or training from these clowns. It was a total waste of money, I agree with the last review, the staff are snobby, unprofessional and discourteous, their level of knowledge and training is questionable. As they say – LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING – they appear to have spent a considerable amount of money making the salon look good but it appears to be a façade. I would refrain from going to this circus.

I don’t know how these muppets have received the Phorest customer service award for 2022 or any other kind of award whatsoever!

They should be reported to TRADING STANDARDS.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH COSMETIC COUTURE

I completely agree with the last review.
I wish I hadn't wasted my money with this training "academy".
Their main focus is to try upsell you as many other add on courses as possible.
How on earth they claim to be the best training academy is beyond me.
Their online pre study is a joke. Do they not realise the seriousness of anatomy and physiology when it comes to the face and injecting. The pre study literally consists of a few slides or downloadable slide with the most basic and evidently copied and pasted information. There is no real theory at all and none of the answers to the online exam is even covered in their theory they state you have to google it. I mean really! I paid all that money to google my answers how unsafe, lazy and a total scam.
When I rang my "tutor" for help she literally reiterated the question back to me and I explained I still wasn't sure and she just guessed and told me to google.
Zero support, unsafe and limited theory which underpins any good quality and safe practitioners, and all in all it is a joke. Oh and even when I initially signed up I had issues with log in and when I rang the staff they were so snobby and pretentious - you could totally tell they were slagging you off once you had got off the call.
Unprofessional, unsafe practices instilled in aspiring aesthetic practitioners and ruse staff. What else can I say - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - This business is nothing but a pure money making scheme they dont give a damn about their students or prospective clients. Just lining their own pockets.

DONT EXPECT YOUR MONEY BACK!

I was booked in for a treatment which I drove 100 mile to receive, no health questions asked or advisories given prior to booking in over Instagram, they just took the money and booked me in.
I arrived to be told they wouldn't perform the treatment because I was on antibiotics for very mild acne, which would not affect the treatment in any way and that was confirmed by an actual doctor, not a practitioner. The practitioner agreed it would not affect the treatment I was booked in for, however still refused to carry it out and said when I rebook, come back when I'm not on a period too... it seemed to be any way to NOT provide the treatment I'd booked in for, despite there being no substantial medical evidence to back up why it would affect the treatment.
I was promised a refund as it was not my fault, I got to the front desk and the girl advised I cant be given a refund today because management weren't in, so it will go back into my account on Monday. I have not received a penny back.
I have messaged these people continuously for over 2 weeks, they continue to this day to read all of my messages and ignore me, to the point where I have had to raise a dispute with the bank to reclaim the money owed.
Absolutely disgusting service, unprofessional and ill mannered girls to ignore their clients, they were exceptionally quick to take the money though.
Big company like that needing to steal from people. Don't waste your time or money, they seem very up market and reputable on social media, don't fall for it like I did.

**WARNING WARNING WARNING***

**WARNING WARNING WARNING***
Me and my partner decided to better our lives and book the full set of courses with Cosmetic Couture which were mis-sold to us by Penny Dyson.
She pushed us into these courses and sold them on the basis that they were currently on a discounted rate which wouldn’t last forever and rather than miss out on the deal get it booked up.
We stupidly believed her and decided as it was for self development, what better way to use our hard earned cash than to use it on ourselves and our exciting new business venture into the aesthetic industry.

We booked the course and paid for it in full, which was an extortionate amount of money for us. Money, which in hindsight, we could of used on a million more things actually worth it!

As soon as we were sent the log in details for there online portal and learning platform, alarm bells immediately started ringing, as it was the most useless piece of training technology we had ever come across.
It was plagued with errors, was down on numerous occasions and was simply not what we had expected for a course of such depth of the anatomy.
The research and pre-study consisted of online searches and typing your findings on the platform for it then to be marked, which in turn always took a silly amount of time for a “tutor” to complete.
If we knew what this consisted of before signing up to the aesthetic course, trust me, we most certainly would not of bothered!

Without even completing the pre-study course we had people from Cosmetic Couture calling us trying to book our practical exams which was utterly shocking to us.
They expected us to go into a practical with live models and start injecting people after self learning on Google and watching a few video tutorials!
In what world is this even legal?!

You are actually messing around with peoples lives, health and well-being as you are being sold the dream from this bunch of cowboys and it is not right!
We knew at this point that this was something we could no longer be morally part of and asked about cancelling the course and requested a full refund.

On top of our own findings about this company, there were constant updates and new regulations launched from JCCP stating that non medics were unable to practice, which was never disclosed to us by this company, meaning that the courses we had bought weren’t worth the paper they were written on!
We asked on numerous occasions for a refund which apparently was impossible due to the fact that the courses we had purchased were discounted.
What difference should that make? We only wanted back what we had paid for, not completed and was ultimately entitled too, as it was our money.
We never even got to the practical stage of the course, never wasted any “tutor” time and learnt absolutely nothing during our time with Cosmetic Couture.

To top it all off, we had a terrible family incident and had to relocate.
We begged and pleaded with this company for our hard earned cash back due to these the circumstances but they pretty much just laughed in our faces!
They showed no sympathy or compassion whatsoever.
They rushed us into parting with our money and mis-sold us every step of the way! They disguise what a waste of money and time this is by having you believe you are bettering your life, learning and training when in reality it has been the worst experience and most traumatic time of our lives and they are simply getting away with it in broad daylight.

To all that have been affected by this company we need to make a stand!
We need to come together and fight for what is rightfully ours - Our money!
We personally have never come across as much immoral, dishonest and corrupt behaviour from a company and it’s staff or ever had the displeasure of dealing with such as cosmetic couture and they need to be held accountable for their actions.
CEO Maxine McCarthy is clearly reaping the rewards off the back of peoples misery and clearly employing staff to deceive innocent people into believing they are actually going to receive a legitimate qualification.

DO NOT TRAIN AT THIS SO CALLED AESTHETICS ACADEMY!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEARTACHE, PAIN AND FINANCIAL LOSS!
