I went to Costa in Next in Cwmbran, Wales today. As usual the woman server was rude and offish. Her assistant was just as bad (I heard him call her boss). She makes one feel as if she doesn't WANT to... See more

One star is actually generous
One star is actually generous. Visited my dying mother in law at Colchester General Hospital and went to the Costa. The product is adequate but quite expensive. However the service was appalling!! Waited 14 minutes in a queue for my flat white. They take your order and payment and then your stuck in a line of people. Have had to use this facility recently because of lot of hospital trips. Will continue to use it but plan to order and then demand my money back if it is too slow. Suggest everyone does this! It wasn’t even that busy. They just can’t meet the demand. Very poor system.
If you use this and experience similar I suggest you also complain as we are just meekly getting ripped off by a large corporation.
In Rayleigh (Essex) branch this morning…
I experienced really bad service in this branch. There was no-one serving on the tills for at least 15 minutes dispite there being four members of staff.... when I asked why, I was informed they were busy dealing with take away drink orders. Whilst, I appreciate you provide this alternative service surely at least one staff member should contine to provide a level of service for those queuing and wanting to sit in to drink and eat.
Terminal 3 Manchester - BUSY
Terminal 3 Manchester, Costa coffee, so very busy thus am at 4am. Only 3 staff on but they worked so hard, non stop to accommodate all customers- well done staff- a credit to Costa
Costa regrets
I'm sitting in Costa now and regretting that I have not stuck to my guns and avoided Costa. As is often the case, the coffee is bland - grey, dull and with no more than a hint of coffee. I feel Costa customers are being ripped off. After all, you order a coffee - especially at the exorbitant price of £3.35 a cup, you expect it to taste of coffee, no? There are some cracking coffee houses around, where the coffee is of a rich brown hue and tastes delicious. The sooner big chains like Costa and Starbucks are broken, hopefully the sooner we will have greater access to real coffee. I must try to be more disciplined and stop throwing my money at businesses like Costa who do do so little to deserve the patronage of coffee drinkers.
Absolutely dire
Costa Coffee in the Royals Southend is just dire. Flies walking on cakes, sticky uncleaned tables and rude, aggressive staff. Tried the Starbucks at the other end of the high street since then and it was a much more pleasant and friendly experience.

Mander centre wolverhampton Monday 8th August 2022 Costa were doing take away cups two hours before closing. People were also still sitting. 1, they are breaking customer policy 2,they should have made customers clear by saying no seating only take away.
This is the second time they've upset me. Won't be going that branch again and also told followers on Facebook.

I buy a cappuccino every morning from at Edgware Road
The staff and manager are delightful- very very friendly, know my name and seem to take a real pride in what they do. I start work early and work long hours and it’s a joy in the morning to get my coffee from there. Always cheers me up
We visited Costa Coffee at Gallagher…
We visited Costa Coffee at Gallagher Retail Park in Bridgwater whilst passing through and have to say that this is the most welcoming, clean and friendly Costa we have been to recently. It would seem that the lady in charge (we think Ash? or Ashley?) works hard at creating a pleasant and clean environment in which to spend some quality time. A well run ship! Will definitely return here again.
Costa Coffee sit in service
Costa Coffee sit in service, Blackfriars New Bridge road, London
Went into this coffee shop, it was not busy and had an eat in services so I ordered a coffee and pastry
After paying I asked where the toilets were and was advised they were out of order, I was annoyed and asked how long they had been out of order, I was informed one week
I then said that I thought it was a legal requirement to have working toilets in a place that provided food and drink and got no response
This seems to have become more common in central London chain coffee shops but Costa Coffee was the last one I visited
It is a disgrace it is discrimination to disable and elderly people as well as those with medical conditions and people who have young children
Since opening up services have got worse not better

Should I drink or not
Just was waiting for my coffee and a customer took mine went out store and come back in staff at Costa handed it back to me here's your coffee sir no disrespect but I'm angry! Does Costa realize there has been a pandemic I'm not to know if that customer drank any or not not happy at all
Pastries - NOT FRESH
DO NOT GO TO COSTA IF YOU WANT FRESH PASTRIES. Everything comes out the fridge - stone cold and hard as a rock!! Apparently, it is Company Policy - that is what a staff member told me when I returned my Almond Croissant asking 'as this come out of a fridge it tastes stale' Pastries can be put in a fridge for 4-5 days but you are supposed to warm them up first prior to serving. When was the last time you went in to a Pret, Patisserie Valerie or any Cafe and took a pastry out of the fridge? Never, as they are not stored there because they usually are fresh that morning. Never been in a Costa before - thank God and trust me last Friday will be my last visit.
Terrible oat flat white
Terrible oat flat white at Greenwich New Capital Quay, whatever brand of oat milk they are using its quite sweet and watery and by the look of it, the barista had a terrible time trying to texture it. Tasted nothing like other oat coffees I've had elsewhere. Couldn't drink it. Staff rather disinterested. Waste of £3.70.
Costa Coffee, Whitchurch
Called into Costa Coffee in Whitchurch, Shropshire at 4.45 PM this afternoon. Tried to order a Strawberries and Cream Frape only to be told they had run out of ice ……… unbelievable!!!!!
I visit Costa every day for breakfast
I visit Costa every day for breakfast, and I got used to the new soya milk in January, but last few visits a flat white with soya is terribly - what's happening with your soya milk?
The rabish coffe IN kilburn high road…
The rabish coffe IN kilburn high road and the stuff is very bad they didn't know how to do the coffee and how to talk with costumers they should not be there
Soy Milk is Inedible
I’m giving them two stars because the staff in the shop are lovely.
I took a break from buying coffee for about six months. The last two I got, with soy milk, were inedible. The milk tasted like fish, it made me gag and I had to throw the drink away. I thought the first time it was just bad luck; an expired batch or something. But apparently this is due to them switching from Alpro to Adez.
I won’t buy coffee from Costa again until they switch back. I’m not angry or trying to make a point, I just don’t see any point in wasting £3 on coffee I can’t drink.
VERY HELPFUL STAFF
We visited the Costa inside the Next store at festival site in Hanley. Very early evening, most of the shoppers had gone. Just ordered our coffee's and there was a major power cut not just in Costa but the whole group of shops. The Next staff wanted us to evacuate the store straight away. The Costa staff Becci and Soraya said that we would be fine to stay where we were and to enjoy the moment! We enjoyed the coffee to! Very helpful staff indeed, considering they had been working all day, just the two of them as many staff had called in sick or it was to hot to work!
We will certainly look forward to seeing them again, so nice to be served by happy smiling staff for once.
Terrible reviews for Costa coffee
I wrote a negative review on Costa coffee, I thought they would at least have the decency to reply to it, but they have not, I checked their reviews on here absolutely terrible, so if they think the best policy is to ignore them, they will find out that is the wrong thing to do, people now are reviewing everything and everywhere before they spend their hard earned money, so thanks to trustpilot that makes most companies buck up their ideas and be the best they can, but I think Costa coffee think they are above that, no they are not
Appalling Worst Customer service !!
Appalling Worst Customer service .. would give 0 points if possible . Im at the counter with a broken ankle with a crutch .It’s 40c outside hottest day in Uk having been in a vehicle for over 2.5 hours . Requiring an iced coffee . The lady taking my order is patronising when I have to make an alternative order when informed by her one of the options were isn’t available . At one point 5 staff members appear . Only one staff making a coffee . A customer previous to me stood waiting before me finally gets her order but the customer does appear receive an apology for the delay from the manager . Another customer is informed to take a seat as they re waiting . I witness 2 more customers are served whilst I’m still waiting for iced latte . No same offer that my drink will be brought to me as another customer was offered or albeit it clear I having a cast and crutch could do with also sitting down . Staff chatting behind the desk and the one staff making my iced latte is talking to peer with no sense of urgency . When my order arrives after 15 mins wait , the person making it can clearly see I’m stood at the counter alone waiting for my drink and she nonchalant looks at her peers and asks who is this for .. when I take the drink get no offer of apology for delay , clearly I wasn’t deemed not to receive the same minimal service as previous customers received before me . This Costa is located at Toddington Service Station - you will get Zero Service lack lustre staff who clearly don’t have any desire for serving customers . I would skip this Costa and try get a Starbucks at the Service station before Toddington or stick to the Costa Machine for a friendlier and more efficient service at Toddington !
