I echo an earlier review re the gift card service. I ordered a £50 card on 10/12/22 and apart from the acknowledgement have heard nothing since! The “Customer Service” helpline is unmanned, and the online form takes 4 days for a response! This was to have been a Christmas gift for my elderly Parents who visit their local Costa on a daily basis. Shockingly poor service, considering that I purchased well in advance of Christmas and paid enhanced shipping fees because of the mail strikes, which I am sure that they will eventually blame. I strongly advise against use of this appauling service.

Me and my partner called in today to our local in Macclesfield to order our usual, as my partner ordered his usual salted caramel latte with extra salted caramel the barista charged him more than usual I believe her name was Aimee, as my partner questioned it asking why it was more than normal she was very rude to my partner stating he should get charged more for extra salted caramel even though he normally doesn’t get charged for this. My partner normally pays £4.20 and that’s including the extra caramel but she was trying to charge him £4.80. The barista then went to her colleague and began slating my partner to them, which I think is very unprofessional overall this made our experience quiet unpleasant and are thinking twice about coming back.

I haven't been paid from costa and not good to work for get messed about by people services

I always go to the Costa shop in Grove near Wantage. The service is brilliant and the staff very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. They are always cleaning and keeping the shop in tip top condition. It is a pleasure to go there .

Stores always seem to close their drive-through a lot. Totally unreliable. They never have enough stock either. About as reliable as Greggs…

I have requested and paid for gift card paid £20 which was also to include £5 extra total £25 after two weeks I did not receive over the following 2 weeks. I filled in 2 forms online and twice tried to phone…. which leaves a message saying the phone lines are not working at the moment, I have received one reply to say that my card would be in the post shortly. That was 2 weeks ago still not received. Needless to say I won’t be buying a gift card from them again and once I have used up a gift card I already have myself I won’t be using the coffee shop again. Unless I get a an apology with-a Good will gesture…. The customer service is atrocious.

Serious attitude problem with blonde hair girl serving. No hello, smug smile like she had a joke she didn’t want to share. Made me feel uncomfortable ordering.

I've been going costa after my friend introduced me to it in 2014. Since the corona and the recession last few years, a couple of stores have closed in Sunderland. I now go to Greggs where it is cheaper, but the coffee is less good. I've almost made friends with some of the handsome baristas

The staff are great and very helpful. No festive atmosphere, no decorations or Christmas tree in the shop, very poor show. The other shops in Beckenham High Street have made the effort, well done to them

Great coffee and usually great service. However visited Costa at Parc Llandudno. Floor around table was absolutely filthy with old food that had been there ages. Table was dirty too. Used toilet which was very dirty and had toilet paper all over the floor.

Contacted Costa with photos but total silence from them - no response, no apology. This Costa fails miserably compared to the Costa on Mostyn Champneys in the same town and Costa Rhyl Marina Quay (which is brilliant with excellent staff)

Having to complain again about Costa coffee I recently entered their latest competition and was surprised to find that i had won a prize when I received it i found that it wasn't a prize for me but for me to gift a free coffee to friends or family it appears that if i do this then Costa coffee can contact them and try to get them to join the Costa app.i didn't know that i was now helping Costa to get new customers I was under the impression that any wins in the competition would be mine I have emailed Costa coffee several times about this but
they just keep ignoring me.i would like to know why I didn't receive a prize and why should I give out free advertising with out any reward Costa coffee should be trying to keep their regular customers happy not having them on a recruitment drive.i am an old aged pensioner and not happy about how Costa coffee are using me

Costa Coffe Hale Barns Altrincham must be the worst stocked in the UK. This morning I went in and as usual there was not one vegetarian product - all with hamd or similar - had to have coffee in cardboard cup told dishwasher broken Terrible

It is impossible to get any response, other than a case reference number, from Costa customer services. I have a £40 digital gift card that doesn’t work and am seemingly powerless to do anything about it. I have used their online contact form, Twitter and Facebook but none of them elicits a response. Their phone line just gives a recorded message saying they don’t accept calls and their Live Chat facility appears to be non-existent. Appalling!
One Week Later
I eventually had a response from Costa who failed to identify the problem. However, we discovered the reason behind it ourselves. The QR code was faulty. It did not match the number assigned to the digital Gift Card. One digit was wrong! Costa could/would not issue a new QR code so we have generated our own which works fine. What a hassle!

I always go to the same Costa in tesco every Monday for a hot chocolate to take away at the same time (usually around 4:45) today i went to pick up a couple of items first, forgetting the closing time was 5. I arrived at 5:05 The cafe was still open, no barrier up yet, went to the till where staff were talking to another customer who had bought a takeaway drink, to be told they're closed. I said I only wanted a chocolate to takeaway and please could i just get the 1 drink - no sorry. Merry Christmas costa :)

Awful staff in Maidstone kings street Costa. I stopped going in there as majority of the staff have such an attitude problem. Not to mention how scruffy the place looks. Considering the staff don’t do much apart from whine & moan in front of customers, which is so unprofessional, you’d think they’d have plenty of time to at least tidy the place up. TBH your lucky if it’s even open, I was turned away on a Saturday at 4pm by a male staff member named Kit. He is definitely one of the reasons I’ve stopped going in there, not sure where Costa are finding these obnoxious people but they are really letting the place down.

FINCHLEY MEMORIAL Tea bags are normal no strings so tea leaves in your cup not strong enough you can't add your own milk lucky i had a proper costa coffee tea bag given to me by a member of staff at
Barnet Hospital when they only had large cups also serving toasties with cheese unmelted in bags stuck together so they aren't fresh and crispy when you eat it what is going on is this branch its a rip off paying for normal tea bags wheres the Costa speciality tea bags there tetley and pg what a disgrace

Costa Coffee shop in Next at Castlepoint, Bournemouth...Dirty coffee machine, weak, watery cappuccino, long queues with inexperienced staff with no customer care! I requested a clean cup for tea twice! each one was still dirty! Staff did not take them away to clean just put them back for the next customer! Have sent feedback to customer care....what customer care..heard nothing back! Will not be getting my money again! Lot's more coffee shops about.......

Unbelievably bad service, rude, unhelpful staff, mediocre coffee, the table was dirty, and the toilets are smelly and disgusting.

I can only advise avoid at all costs

First time in there forgot our order..no apologies, second and third time Service very slow, no one clearing or wiping tables....Covids not gone Costa....!
Environment and atmosphere about as welcoming as a motorway service station at 2am in the morning. Horrible decor, cold and uncomfortable chairs.... Wouldn't want to stay long...but maybe that's the idea....but it's Malton so we know how to do Coffee and nice decor....don't waste your money here, go to a small, local coffee house. We have plenty.
