My initial experience with Courses and…

My initial experience with Courses and Funnels has been excellent.

They have been highly professional, and have gone to great lengths to understand both my brand and my business.

No gimmicky, high pressure sales techniques, no exaggerated promises.

Just intelligent, measured, high quality interactions.

I can vouch for all the bad experiences…

I can vouch for all the bad experiences on this review site. I had the worst experience with Lucas and his “company”. Years later I’m still dealing with the fall out. Not only were they a complete waste of money but they ran ads that got my accounts restricted on meta and I’m still having to try get them overturned. Stay away from this “business”… it’s a scam

Hi Natalie,

We’re genuinely surprised by your review, as it doesn’t reflect the scope of work completed, the support provided, or the results achieved during our partnership.
You hired us under a formal agreement to design, build, and launch your online course.

Over several months, our team worked extensively with you—implementing multiple rounds of edits, restructuring materials, and even migrating your course to a new platform. At every stage, we responded quickly to your feedback and ensured your input was reflected in the final product.

On the advertising front, we ran 3 months of campaigns. Despite working in a highly sensitive niche that is often flagged by Meta’s automated systems, we were able to produce results ranging from 0.4x to 2.56x during the engagement.

Importantly, when your ad account faced restrictions (which Meta enforces based on policy, not agency control), our team successfully appealed and reinstated your account so we could continue marketing.

Your own feedback at the time reflected satisfaction with the course build, design, and platform delivery—often praising the quality of our edits and the professionalism of the team. You also acknowledged receiving course sales and positive feedback from students who took your program.

To now call our work a “scam” disregards both the results you experienced and the extensive effort we put into your project.

Our track record with over 100+ clients worldwide speaks for itself—we deliver on our commitments, go above and beyond scope when necessary, and always prioritize client success.

We wish you all the best moving forward but stand firmly behind the work, results, and integrity of our team.

Stay Away

I invested $10K and the experience has been underwhelming. The communication is entirely asynchronous, they disappear for long stretches, and often ask for approvals on things that were already approved. Overall it’s been very hands-off and far less impressive than I expected.

I spoke with several other clients who said the process dragged on for months, and many had spent thousands more on ads that weren’t converting. Every single one told me to cut my losses before sinking in more money.

Hi Christie,
I want to respond directly to your review, because setting the record straight matters.
First, the claim that we “disappeared for long stretches” just isn’t true. Our records show steady communication with weekly updates, follow-ups, and ongoing support from your Account Manager. We also held calls when needed and shared a schedule with you to make it clear we were open to hopping on calls if you preferred. In fact, throughout the process you shared multiple times that you were “very pleased” with the work being delivered.
Second, the delays weren’t from our team “dragging things on.” The contract you signed is clear — client assets and approvals are needed within one week to keep timelines on track. Because you’re the subject-matter expert, your input is essential. In your case, there were repeated pauses (due to personal reasons which we will not disclose to protect your privacy), pivots from a community model to a standalone course, and withheld access to your course content. Naturally, those pauses and delays slowed delivery. However, despite that, we kept adapting and supporting, even though we were well within our rights to enforce stricter timelines.
Third, the comment about ads “not converting” doesn’t apply. A full launch never happened because the key assets and approvals weren’t finalized. As your contract outlines, no agency can or should guarantee sales — conversion rates depend on multiple factors outside our control, including client credibility, ad budget, and market conditions. Suggesting otherwise, or citing hearsay from “every client,” isn’t accurate. We’ve got active clients, completed launches, and verified testimonials that show the exact opposite.
Finally, to say the process was “hands off” just doesn’t line up with the record. As mentioned, your Account Manager has consistently supported you. Beyond that, we respected your refusal to grant our team access to your course and still provided alternative workarounds — finding solutions that allowed us to move forward without direct access. That’s not “hands off,” that’s us going out of our way to adapt to your preferences. True partnership requires collaboration on both sides, and while we upheld our end with consistent support and flexibility, the record shows the delays came from pauses and decisions on your side, not ours.
We’ve always been willing to adjust our approach to make sure our clients feel supported, and time and again we’ve gone well beyond what the contract requires whenever it means keeping a project moving and our clients satisfied.
Our team has put hours of work and effort into ensuring we can launch your course successfully and while I wish you the best moving forward, it’s important to make sure the facts are clear.

Paid $5,000 for service

Paid $5,000 for service January 20, 2023. I realized that I was not a good fit for courses and funnels business model. I asked for refund and they refused to give me back my money. You go on their website and there is no way contact them directly. They have no business address listed. Courses and funnels is a scam.

Update: I checked my email (6:40 pm PST) and I saw no email from courses and funnels.

Hi Pat,

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations.

This was quite some time ago, and since then, we’ve made significant improvements to our systems, communication, and how we support clients. Our current approach is much more hands-on and transparent, including clearer access to our team and support channels.

While we typically don’t offer refunds once project work has begun — especially after assets or strategy have been delivered — I’ve reached out to you via email to explore how we can make things right.

We’re genuinely committed to helping every client succeed, and I’d love the chance to reconnect and resolve this properly.

Warm regards,
Lucas

Working with Sam was beyond a joy

Working with Sam was beyond a joy. She was very attentive and kept me in the loop every week on next steps, deliverables, and what the team was working on. She was also very patient with allowing me to complete my task and organize the things that I submitted. Her professional communication was 100% welcomed.

The best decision we made for our course.

We started working with C&F in November to get our course off the ground and honestly, it’s been amazing. By the end of December, we hit $55K in sales! They absolutely crushed it. They gave us a gorgeous website and were there for us every step of the way.

Unable to Deliver on a Service Approaching $20k

I worked with Courses and Funnels for over 8 months last year. During a vulnerable period following a bereavement, I chose to invest both my savings and inheritance into their services.

I paid nearly £16,000 for a “build it for me” course. Unfortunately, they did not deliver the promised product, nor anything comparable to their “build it with you” offering. As a result, I am significantly out of pocket with little to show for it.

A warning to potential clients: if they cannot rely on AI tools to perform the work, it appears they struggle to deliver it themselves. My concerns about the use of AI arose when the first draft I received felt generic and robotic. I attempted to arrange a call to discuss these concerns, but they were initially reluctant to engage. I was informed they were at full capacity, and due to the time difference with most of their staff based in the Philippines, it took two weeks to schedule the meeting, further delaying the project.

During the call, they admitted that their staff use Chat GPT for reasons such as ensuring grammatical accuracy, as English is not their first language. This was concerning, considering I paid nearly £16,000 to have this course built for me. I later discovered that the founder, Lucas, is marketing a separate company selling a $49 course focused on teaching clients how to use AI to generate their own course, overlapping with the services I had paid thousands for.

After initial scoping calls with senior staff and founders, they were not involved again. While those calls felt productive, the promises made were not fulfilled in the final deliverables, even when included in the contracted terms.

Once I was dealing with the “course builders,” I found it challenging to make any progress. There was constant chasing and requests for calls, particularly as we passed their agreed deadline and even more so as we drifted months beyond it without a saleable product. Every follow-up call led to further unfulfilled promises, and I felt like I was being treated as a problem for asking them to meet their contractual obligations.

I ultimately did extensive and detailed work myself—tantamount to building the course—but even this was not utilized by the Courses and Funnels team to finalize the product.

In the end, a third party was brought in by Courses and Funnels to pressure me into accepting the incomplete work as meeting the agreed-upon standards, despite it not aligning with the brief, the website claims, or the contract deliverables. From my experience, their processes and contracts seem structured in a way that makes securing a refund incredibly difficult.

I did not agree and ultimately parted ways with the company, losing thousands of pounds.

Proceed with caution if you choose to work with them.

Hey Lewis,

We've reviewed your feedback and need to address the claims made about our team, process, and services. While we value transparency, we cannot let unfounded accusations misrepresent our team's hard work on your project.

Let's clarify several points. First, AI is not the primary tool in creating courses for our clients. While we use AI for specific tasks like grammar checking, it's merely a supplementary tool to enhance our professionals' work, not replace their expertise. Our team comprises talented individuals from diverse backgrounds - including team members from Australia, America, UK & Germany who worked on your project.

Regarding communication, time zone differences did not hinder our support. Your account manager scheduled weekly calls, and despite you postponing some meetings, we still held six calls throughout the project. We consistently worked to accommodate your schedule and address concerns.

About CourseGPT - this is a separate offering designed for instructors who need a budget-friendly solution. It's not comparable to our Done For You service and shouldn't be confused with the personalized expertise we provide.

The role of our CEO isn't limited to individual projects. While you may have expected more direct involvement, his role is strategic, ensuring smooth operations across the entire business. Though not always visible in day-to-day aspects, he has remained actively involved behind the scenes.

For your course build, we exceeded the agreed scope by incorporating animations, additional revisions, and writing a course script. These extras went beyond our contract, but we included them to ensure your satisfaction. As the course expert, your input was crucial - this was meant to be a partnership, not an employer-employee relationship. We noticed tension between your preference for a long, theory-based school-like course versus our focus on short, action-based courses that typically yield better student results.

Quality work requires time, particularly given the multiple revisions you requested for course scripts, slides, and branding. While this impacted delivery times, we maintained regular updates on our progress. We want to emphasize that we've never worked with external third-party vendors - all our team members, from project management to design and development, are in-house professionals.

Regarding refunds: While our contract has a no-refund policy to protect our team's invested work, we still provided you with a partial refund as a gesture of good faith. This was done despite having no contractual obligation, simply to demonstrate how we value our partnership.

We understand the final result may not have met your expectations, even though we exceeded our agreed-upon scope. The time, effort, and resources invested demonstrate our commitment to client satisfaction and producing exceptional work. While our partnership may not have turned out as hoped, we genuinely wish you success in your future endeavors.

They overpromised and underdelivered

They overpromised and underdelivered. They promised guaranteed revenue, ran ads, etc., but all I got were reasons why it was not delivered. They will do whatever it takes to get your business, and once they get you as a client, only excuses will be delivered.

Hey Josh,

Thanks for leaving your feedback.

We have to admit, your review caught us by surprise because we couldn’t find any record of working with you. That said, we’re open to hearing you out, so please feel free to reach out directly at info@coursesandfunnels.com to clarify your experience and help us dig into this further.

To address the guaranteed revenue you mentioned, we want to clarify that we don’t promise any of our clients guaranteed revenue—because no one can. Sometimes clients have specific wants around messaging and pricing which goes against our research/ best practices and may negatively impact results. What we do guarantee is putting in the work, using strategies that have worked for our clients, and giving every client our 110%. We have a solid track record to show for it, and many of our clients have seen incredible growth through the systems we’ve built together.

If you felt things didn’t meet your expectations, we’d love to understand where the disconnect happened—assuming we actually worked together.

So, if this is a genuine concern, let’s connect and chat it through. If not, we’ll let our work and our happy clients speak for themselves.

Looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully clearing things up.

The Courses and Funnels Team have been absolutely fantastic!
