Utterly useless and a complete waste of…

Utterly useless and a complete waste of time. Requested samples on numerous occasions and eventually they arrived. I asked to speak to someone who I was told was on another call but she then said she wasn't in the office. Perhaps she was working remotely or virtually from home. An email told me the address of the showroom so I turned up to a closed showroom. It was opened for me but the girl didn't have a clue and told me it was best to do everything online. I've taken my business elsewhere.

Gone Silent!

Received samples and sent measurements as requested then just silence, no calls answered/returned, no email reply. What a weird company! I'll go somewhere else where they actually want my custom and don't waste peoples time.

Poor communication

Fabric samples sent quickly but attempts to call them to ask questions about measuring for arm covers have not been answered and emails similarly ignored. I see from other customers that this is an ongoing problem which does not inspire confidence in using this company.

They waste your time!!

I contacted them about coving my sofa.
They asked for photos and lots of other details, was told they would be back in touch the next day. Heard nothing, sent a couple of emails asking for an update, all ignored.
Complete waste of time!

Still waiting for an update!!

I placed an order for a sofa cover and paid accordingly. I was advised by Karen that my cover would be sent w/c 17 November. Since then I have had no communication in spite of ringing and leaving messages and sending follow up emails. If there is a delay I would prefer to know rather than be left in the dark. It's a real worry when you have paid a significant amount for the covers.

Patience is required

My covers eventually arrived after six months. There was a fabric delay but this company failed to keep me updated as to why there was such a long delay. They promised me five new cushions as compensation but when I placed my requested fabric choice have heard nothing from them and no cushions have been sent to me. Communication is appalling. On the plus side, the covers are beautifully made and fit perfectly so if you’re prepared for a long wait and virtually no communication they do do an excellent job.
Since posting this review Covermyfurniture have been in touch and promised that my cushions will be made and sent to me asap.

Brilliant service, highly recommend

I’m thrilled with my new sofa covers! My 25 year old sofa looks new. High quality, durable material, incredibly accurate fit and very prompt delivery. I had questions during the process and they didn’t just return my emails quickly but they also called me to discuss too. So lovely and (sadly) very rare to speak to the person signing the letters/emails. Thank you so much, I’m honestly delighted. I just don’t want anyone to sit on my perfect sofa now though 🤣!

AN EXCELLENT AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL SERVICE

I am SO thrilled to have found and used this company. Extremely helpful, delivered on time AND the new covers they made for me have completely changed the look of what were two very dated sofas. I want to thank them and would highly recommend them. I would definitely use them again.

NO RESPOSE TO PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS

lovely samples sent very quickly last week, but despite having emailed and left messages on the phone - no response. clearly there is a communication and service problem. will not be ordering from this company despite other good reviews.

I have since heard from Karen who seems to be handling things very well....watch this space!

Top quality, great workmanship.

We looked at several companies to recover our lovely old multiyork armchair. The samples from covermyfurniture (Plumbs sister company) were the best we received. The process of selecting and posting our old covers was simple. They pick apart the old covers to use as templates to make the new.
Took about 2 weeks. The result was fantastic. The new covers fitted like a glove and the quality of workmanship was outstanding. The company also responded promptly to emails throughout the process. They may be slightly pricier than other online companies but you get what you pay for.
We also had a similar chair seat cushion fitted with a new foam inner (plumbs) and the quality was again top notch. We visited the showroom in Preston for this one and the staff and factory worker who popped over to talk to us were super friendly and knowledgable.
Nice to see a company like this flourishing in what must be a difficult market. We wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

No customer services response

Two stars as they did send fabric samples as ordered but subsequently no-one answering the telephones or responding to messages left or to emails - will not think about using this company unless they show they have an effective and responsive customer service team.

Been trying since before Christmas 2024 to order from this company! Received samples but now no response from messages left by phone, emails etc. shame as I wanted to order.

Do not order from this company!

Do not order from this company!! I have paid £105 for arm covers which I have not received. It is not possible to phone this company and they do not reply to emails.

A gold medal for Cover My Furniture

We cannot recommend Cover My Furniture highly enough. We had a set of loose covers for our large three-piece suite made by Plumbs back in 2012 and, 12 years later, we needed some new arm protectors. We now live in Spain, so it was never going to be a straightforward exercise. I contacted Plumbs and was directed to Cover My Furniture, which is a sister company to Plumbs.
Tanya was so helpful and instead of asking us to post a cover back as a template, she sent us a diagram so we could provide the dimensions.
An issue that was partly my fault because I incorrectly guessed the fabric colour (due to a swatch we still had from 2012) cropped up.
Again, Tanya rose to the challenge and was able to solve the predicament in which we found ourselves. I must also stress that the quality of the fabric and stitching was first class, just as they were back in 2012.
At a time when standards seem to be falling, customer service levels declining, and general attitudes leaving much to be desired, one is generally resigned to the fact one will be fobbed off or simply dismissed as being a disposable client.
But Tanya and the Cover My Furniture team went the extra mile for us and will always get our business, so much so that we are now thinking of sending back our current three-piece-suite loose covers to have another set made.
They wash so well, despite being ivory in colour, cope with three cats that like to lounge all over them, and look almost good as they did when brand new. It's a gold medal for Cover My Furniture!

Quality of fit and material

Quality of fit and material is superb. I live in Switzerland but had a 30-year-old John Lewis sofa-bed that needed new covers.

Returned old covers to Plumbs with some trepidation but in the end what was returned exceeded our expectations.
