Really enjoyed our stay here. Excellent location and the cabin, the land, the animals were all perfect. Great service from the hosts too. Will recommend and visit again without question.

We had the loveliest weekend staying in ukai. Everything has been so carefully thought through to ensure you are comfortable while still being surrounded by nature. We spent every evening in the hot tub, with a glass of wine, under the stars listening to the owls. We can’t wait to come back!

Everything about this place is beautiful!

We celebrated my husband Chatan's 40th birthday at a wonderful forest retreat owned by Yolanda and Ben. The cabin was so beautifully decorated, and the hot tub was just perfect for relaxation. In just a couple of days, we were lucky enough to see woodpeckers, hares, wild pigs, deer, wild horses, and longhorn cows. I would highly recommend taking a walk around the entire area. Thanks to Yolanda's kindness and quick responses, we're already looking forward to our next visit.

Hubby booked Hopi for our anniversary, he usually pulls this stuff out of the bag and this was no exception. Absolute heaven, beautiful cabin in stunning location surrounded by beautiful views and not a single other soul, perfection! Comfy bed, luxurious toiletries, soft fluffy towels, delicious milk, bread, butter and even marshmallows to toast on the fire. We spent two very peaceful and totally relaxing nights and made the most of the wood fired hot tub watching the sunset and got up close and personal with some deer while walking through the valley. This place is a little bit of heaven and we throughly enjoyed our stay. We left feeling totally relaxed and refreshed. I will recommend to friends and to those reading reviews to see if you should book, go ahead and treat yourself you will love it!

Amazing cabins, serene setting and brilliant for wildlife. Easily the best place we've ever stayed. Yolanda and Ben were very helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful place, secluded, so you feel far from civilization. Perfect place to escape from reality. Very well equipped, with everything you need to cook something. Very comfortable bed and great shower with very good pressure. Hot tub is excellent with mega good water pressure, so filling the tub takes literally 2 minutes. We used it every day, great idea to install it there. We stopped in Ukai, Hopi is next on our list. Will definitely want to return there.

The road to Ukai is scary at first, lots of ups and downs, but you can get used to it. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. We had a very successful stay.

We spent two magical evenings celebrating our 10-year anniversary. The Hopi cabin is immersed in nature - the perfect setting to disconnect from the business of city living. The decor is unique and the amenities are everything you need, Amie wine was a great touch. We’re already planning our next trip and telling everyone we know to go!

The perfect environment to spend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We stayed at Ukai which was so tastefully furnished & tied in with the beautiful wild valley it is situated. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

Hopi exceeded all of our expectations. The cabin has everything you need and more.

The views out from the deck where we sat at night and enjoyed cooking dinner outside, where we took in all the wildlife, from deer to owls, to hares, we used the binoculars to our full advantage.

The bed is quite simply one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. All the furnishings and interiors were absolutely stunning and just added to the whole experience.

We can't recommend Cove Valley more and have already referred the cabins to multiple people.

Cove Valley is outstanding in every way. We stayed in UKAI and couldn’t have been happier. Nestled in the trees, surrounded by nature and silent apart from the birdsong. Every detail has been taken care of, from the comfiest bed with a view, super toiletries and a well stocked kitchen. The wood fired tub is delightful for relaxing after wonderful walks through the estate. Sitting on the deck with the stove burning, dinner on the barbecue and a glass of wine was totally enchanting. We left with our hearts full and our souls replenished.

Truly unique, we will definitely return.

Great hideaway, spent three days here, saw no-one except wildlife. We could watch the stars & warm ourselves by the woodburner & hot tub. Every luxury we wanted inside, even nice coffee to drink.
Thanks for such a contrast between a wild valley outside & complete comfort inside. Good quality bedding & bathroom items. I'd be happy to recommend to anyone.

My husband and I had the best time at Cove valley. The cabin was so cosy and it was beautifully designed. In the most idyllic countryside.

We've just spent a few days (i wish it could have been longer!) staying at 'Chatan' in Cove Valley and it was such a wonderful restorative stay.

We're quite keen 'wild stay' bookers now and have quite a few treehouses, cabins etc. under our belt. It was the unique interiors/ design of the treehouse that made us want to book Chatan and it did not disappoint. All of the art pieces and design choices are incredible (my absolute favourite was 'I need this wilderness for my heart to beat', and we took a picture of the copper towel rail in the bathroom for inspo in our own home!). It's clearly been designed with a lot of thought and care and we loved the Americana feel.

The re-wilding site itself is absolutely gorgeous and you are fully immersed in nature at every turn-from the lush woodland the cabins sit in, the foxgloves and ferns that line the pathways and of course the (very friendly) resident deer, boars, horses and other wildlife around you at all times. The pigs flopping over for belly rubs was such a joy! and can't believe we got to interact so closely with deer, they're so stunning. We had a family of blue tits in the little bird houses that sit on the deck and the tree to the right of the cabin and spent ages watching/ listening to the babies.

We were lucky enough to experience all types of weather from golden hour (a perfect time to take a walk around the site and see the animals) to completely clear stargazing nights in the wood-fired tub, to cosy coffee and log burner fueled rainy mornings.

While there- we had a meal one night at 'The Swan' in Bampton nearby, and it was genuinely one of the nicest meals (Steak with truffle fries) we've had in ages- would definitely recommend to any guests staying at Cove. We also ventured to Combe Martin about an hours drive away (with the intention of sea kayaking but the wind had other ideas) and hiked to Broadsands Beach which was incredibly beautiful.

It's a perfect place to be still, find peace and reconnect with nature, exactly what we needed at a time of chaos and burnout at home. Devon is pretty far from us but we're really hoping to visit again (we have our eye on Hopi next!) and will be recommending to everyone.

Went here with my partner for our anniversary and had an amazing time. The location & cabin were gorgeous and we made some great memories we'll never forget.

Some highlights were:
1) All the free-roaming animals - Still can't believe how friendly they were! One of the deer practically ran up to us to be stroked, and the 2 pigs immediately flopped down onto their sides for belly rubs. Also a great place to spot some beautiful wild birds
2) The local area - Lots of stunning hikes to go on, and the local restaurants were amazing (highly recommend The Lost Kitchen)
3) The wood fired bath - Takes a while to heat up so plan your evening accordingly, but definitely worth the wait. We come from an area with a lot of light pollution, so being able to stargaze in a warm bath was wonderful

Went with our 3 month old to wind down and could not believe how relaxed we felt even with a baby in tow. The cabin was so beautifully designed with such attention to detail and clever use of space. Loved the Americana design and views of the sunset, countryside and stars from porch were incredible. Wish we’d stayed longer and will definitely be back!

We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle to celebrate our anniversary - Cove Valley ticked every single box. Watching the sun go down from the veranda of Hopi with a gin and tonic was just perfect. We will definitely be back.
