Hi came in today with 2 year old who has issues with dairy and soya not much offered for her at all, asked for sausages and beans to be told they had run out of sausages even when you have a butchery dept displaying them in abundance. Anyway, the only option they could offer was gluten free toast and beans. No kids drinks di had to buy her a bottle of water. When her toast and beans turned up the toast was not even slightly toasted and accompanied with a bowl of beans !!! To top it off, remembering she is two years old they gave her a full size fork to eat it with 😡😡😡needless to say not a good experience and to then find it is an additional charge to get into the little farmers . Your supposed to be a family attraction not doing much at all for the younger ones sorry

i have been coming here ever since i…

i have been coming here ever since i was a baby, but today was shocking. so today i come in with my mum and my nannie and we order our food and wait for the usual time, 20 minutes or so, and we are sitting there and im not joking you it takes us telling the staff that our drinks still haven't arrived? and then my nannie goes over and turns out she was pals with one of the staff so she was talking to her and turns out they had lost our order. but the boy who took our order is new. plus there was food sitting out there for ages without getting picked up and going to people. the people we were sitting behind complained about something about bread, and when we where still waiting for our food after we had complained, someone else complained. so when we got our food we ate it and payed, but we didn't have to pay for the drinks, thank fully. and after we payed we where leaving and saw someone we had seen in the queue just to get into craigies and she still hasn't been served, turns out she's put her order in three times now, and she was her nan with her and can't take her every where so this was special. i just think this is outrageous, and im probably won't be coming back. (we actually had to wait an hour. )

Came on Father’s Day for a quick bite…

Came on Father’s Day for a quick bite of lunch and had to wait over an hour for our food to be told they had not even started servicing lunch yet as they where so behind on the breakfast orders. The organisation was disgraceful and totally ruined our fathers day experience. They should have known how busy a day like this would have been. Really disappointed.

Really disappointed with service

Really disappointed with service. Had a full basket of produce from butcher meat, dairy to bakery. Total cost would have exceeded £50 easy. When I went to pay for produce was told that they do not accept cash, but they would let me purchase a gift card and thus pay for my goods that way! It may be me, but if I can’t pay for produce with cash, then why would they accept cash for a gift card? I told them not to bother as I would take my business to a farm shop who will accept my cash.

Disappointing

I was really disappointed in my first visit with my 2 year old granddaughter. Firstly I was naturally expecting to see a variety of animals but there are only sheep, pigs, 2 donkeys and 2 ponies. There was one rabbit in a tiny hutch which was far too high for most kids to see in.
To be fair the play area is great and not their fault it was all a bit advanced for my granddaughter.
The cafe beside the play area had no food for children….nothing….not even a packet of Pom bears! My coffee was cold, my scone arrived after I’d finished it with no knife and no jam.
It cost £17 for 2 adults and 1 2 year old and I thought it was very poor value. Instead go to soft play at Ratho climbing centre. For £4.50 you get 3 different play areas and an excellent child centred cafe.

What was once a lovely farm-shop…

What was once a lovely farm-shop restaurant has lost a lot of it’s charm; and customer service despite expanding for kids and families with a new soft play. Some staff just don’t seem to like working here or perhaps training is poor?
Ordering now on an App should in theory make it simpler, but it seemed to be such a hassle asking for milk that was included on the order; then for the table to be cleared. No apologies; very defensive.
I guess when you’re paying upfront on an app you hope the service is still good, right?

Ok but slow service

Lovely place, brilliant location and fab for the kids. Food was good once it finally arrived, service was slow but the staff were pleasant. Hot chocolate was cold but cakes good. Overall it was fine and maybe next time it will be better. It was still table service but very confusing to know this.

Disability Friendly.

I have visited on quite a few occasions. I use a walking aid and the staff are always really helpful with assistance. I mainly go at breakfast time and their breakfasts are delicious - a lovely treat. The location is great too. I look forward to trying their fruit picking next year.

Numerous wasps on strawberries and raspberries

Good fruit and veg picking farm. However, I think they need to put wasp traps as I got stung a week ago by a very angry wasp on the raspberry picking section. Tons of them near strawberries as well. There's definitely a few wasp nests nearby so be careful if you're picking fruit during this season. It can actually be dangerous, especially for the wee ones.

I took my partner there for the 'Pick Your Own' experience and it was absolutely incredible. We ended up spending 2 hours going through the different sections of the farm including the strawberries, raspberries, courgettes, etc. The berries were very sweet. Definitely a good decision and we are planning on going back in two weeks for another 'Pick Your Own' session.
