Craig has the patience of a Saint. We have two young sons on the spectrum and hair cuts are traumatising for us all. He made this experience bearable for all of us and allowed the children to go through this at their own pace. He was so knowledgeable and understanding and completely exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be back.

Craig is brilliant - really understanding of my son's needs. As a single mum to an autistic young man it is difficult for me to access barbers. Had quite a few negative experiences so have ended up cutting my boy's hair myself. So nice to take him for a hair cut with someone who understands his needs. Craig was so good with him. Did a great job of his hair too. Thanks Craig - we need more barbers like you.

The patience this man has is on another level. My 3 year old (who HATES having a haircut) played in a really relaxed environment surrounded by resources. Craig literally chatted and followed him as Freddie led the appointment.
Not one tear!! Craig used the term “hair check” several times and showed Freddie all the equipment he was using and praised him throughout. I was a spare part and no assurance from me was needed 🤷‍♀️. 100% recommend this well organised, friendly barbers with approachable staff who literally bend over backwards to fulfil every need the individual requires.

Craig was absolutely superb with my non verbal autistic son. His skills at managing autism were admirable. Craig knew when to give my son a break and when to press on and did this so effectively. Craig is the first barber to ever cut my sons hair which hasn’t resulted in any tears. Thank you so much Craig, you’re a superstar! Making such a difference to so many families lives ❤️

My 7 year old has always been nervous of having his hair cut after a couple of bad experiences but he came out absolutely beaming after his first trip to Craig's yesterday. Craig is so patient and had fun with him as well as doing a brilliant job with his hair. I can recommend Craig's Barbers to anyone, especially for kids who might need a bit of extra support. I have recently started to take my 3yr son to Craig’s Barber Shop. My son has Autism and Craig has been so patience, caring and understanding of my sons needs. Previously haircuts have been a very traumatic time for us however now we have started to go to Craig, my son is finally showing signs of being able to manage and cope during this time. We are yet to have a full hair cut but on this journey, I have absolutely no concerns that eventually this will happen and it won’t be a traumatic time. Thanks Craig 🫶🏼

Today i took my 3 year old son into craigs barbers, my little boy has autism and ive struggled to get his hair cut at other places but craig made my little boy feel so comfortable and now his hair looks so much better, the sensory corner and all the toys in the shop helps massively along with having an understanding and caring barber. Craig was amazing with my little boy. Will definitely be coming back and recommending him to others.

My little boy is almost 3 and won’t allow anyone near him or his hair but Craig managed to build some trust with him and he was able to cut it while my boy changed seats every 3 seconds. Hoping he’ll allow Craig to use clippers next👍🏽

Our son has been going to Craig’s for 18 months. With Craig’s exceptional patience and brilliant understanding of neurodivergent children our son is now able to have his haircut without any tears.
The shop recently moved to a new premises and this has sent our son backwards a little. Craig sits with our son and talks to him about what is scary and what it is he doesn’t like. He crawls round the floor after our son and cuts his hair whilst he’s busy playing with the toys Craig provides in his shop.
Craig’s expertise in working with neurodivergent children means he understands, notices and reacts accordingly to the very very small cues given by our son that the experience is getting a little too much. Not only does this make our son relaxed it means we, as parents, are completely relaxed the whole time too knowing our son is in such capable hands.
We cannot recommend Craig enough to anyone who is struggling with the experience of a hair cut.

This was such a positive experience for me, the space was incredibly autism friendly and I felt so comfortable throughout the whole appointment! My hair looks and feels amazing and I would 100% recommend to other ND people! Craig was so understanding and made me feel as ease all the way through!

My sister took my four year old son who has autism to Craig’s barber shop today as I’m working unfortunately. She sent me some videos and I couldn’t believe it I actually cried! The last time we went for a hair cut I had to physically hold my son down on my lap which was a horrible experience for him and me. And he was just stood there playing with toys while Craig cut his hair! No tears no screaming! Thank you sooo so much Craig! This is a MASSIVE weight of my shoulders! Knowing I can take him somewhere they understand and have patience for him! We will be definitely be coming for his haircuts forever! Thank you again so much we’re so Grateful

Craig is an absolute angel, friendly, kind and welcoming my son who is ASD our superhero doesn't like his hair being touched at all but Craig made this experience a whole new positive for our son no crying no screaming just fun and laughter! He intertracted with him playing all around the shop even playing on the floor with him while cutting his hair! I couldn't of ask for anything better the atmosphere where calm no pushing and respected all boundaries what a legend you are Craig a huge round of applause for you you make a huge difference to our superheros as well as the parents! Our 9yr old son has struggled with haircuts for years, craig was brilliantly calm and just let him be himself. He sat through a whole haircut with no drama. It's great to know there are people like Craig out there who just understand autism and additional needs. We will definitely return again

What an amazing barber!! Craig did my sons very first haircut at nursery after days of desensitisation to the different sounds and equipment he used. My son has asd so something like having a haircut can be quite traumatising for him. Craig has been amazing from the first time meeting my son. Once my son left nursey we then moved on to visiting craigs shop!! After all Craig's hard work and patience my son now sits nicely in the chair with his gown on. He's in and out within 10 minutes!! I wouldn't take my son anywhere elts to have his hair cut!! I could not recommend Craig enough to anyone especially anyone who has sen children. Craig is so professional and is just absolutely amazing at what he does!! We will look forward to continuing our visits 😊
