Bought a heater from creeda, wouldnt have if I read reviews. Imagine there was no plug attached to it.
I bought two wall mounted storage heaters and both of them stopped working two months after the warentee run out. It took some time to establish a new night time electrical connection to the house, so they have hardly been used. An electrician fixed one, but we are still unable to identify the problem with the other one.
Most of the engineers we have contacted have suggested just to buy a new unit. The Creda units were expensive (I did not choose the cheapest profucts) and I am not happy with this. I enquired about the price of diagnosis by a Creda Appointed engineer which was £ 120 to attend plus an hourly rate of £ 45! They were not interested in honouring their warrenty even though it's only two months expired.
Very very dispointed and would not buy a product from them again.
We had the heater just over a year and it stopped working, had just gone over the one year warranty!
Economy 7 heaters installed. Not heating sufficiently overnight to provide heating for the next day. Engineer couldn’t sort it, so heating not fixed for 6 weeks. Cannot get through to speak to a real person. All automated. Dreadful service. Forget all this automated nonsense and bring back real people!!
I bought a rather expensive Creda storage heater.
After installation, the overnight charging did not adapt properly to prevailing conditions, as it is supposed to.
The Creda brand is owned by Dimplex. Their customer services diagnosed a faulty charge controller and arranged an engineer visit to repair.
This visit was a no-show, and I have heard nothing since then. Emails to them are ignored, and I can't get through on the phone either.
So I've ended up with a faulty heater in the middle of winter, and the manufacturer's guarantee not being honoured.
Will definitely never buy anything in the Creda brand again, and will avoid any of the other brands owned by Dimplex as well.
