Poor experience
I would not recommend using this company for anything. Salesmen are pushy. Surveyors are rude. We have a veranda made by crocodile that was marketed as “self cleaning”, whatever that means. We wanted to close off our veranda with no gaps in the panels. Husband made the mistake to contact crocodile again! Paid half the amount as a deposit only to be told by surveyor (rude and arrogant) on his visit that there will be gaps with brush seal. Their products are often misrepresented and overpriced. They are not upfront on their cancellation policy either which was the case the first time around. If you do not know your rights it will be hard to get your deposit back from them. Not worth the stress. Overall a very poor experience both times.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to read that you feel dissatisfied with your experience, although we must respectfully clarify a number of points raised.
Our products are garden rooms/verandas, which are designed as outdoor living structures rather than fully sealed, insulated extensions. This is clearly explained at every stage of the process. Customers are shown full examples at the outset, and our surveyor provides a detailed explanation during the technical survey. In addition, we can supply 3D rendered drawings so you can fully visualise how the product will look and function on your property before manufacture begins.
With regard to the sliding doors, all systems of this type require a small operational gap to allow the panels to slide past one another. This is standard across the industry and is fitted with a brush seal to close the joint. This does not allow water ingress and the system remains weatherproof as intended.
We also take feedback about our team seriously. However, we do not accept that our staff were rude or unprofessional. Our surveyors are required to explain technical details clearly and accurately, even where this may differ from a customer’s expectations.
In terms of cancellation, we are happy to cancel if the customer does not want to proceed due to the specification. However, as a bespoke made to measure product, once we have commenced work on the project the order is non-cancellable. This is standard practice for bespoke products and is clearly set out within our terms and conditions, which are provided in full at the point of order.
We stand by the quality of our products, which are backed by a 10-year warranty, and we have a large number of satisfied customers who are enjoying their installations.
We are, of course, happy to discuss any specific concerns with you directly and remain committed to resolving matters wherever possible.

A rep came out to survey and quote for…
A rep came out to survey and quote for a shutter for our courtyard, he immediately suggested that their product was too high spec for an outdoor space as it is sealed, dustprof ect and we would be better off using a shop type security roller shutter instead. He did take measurements photos ect and later sent a quote. He also sent details of a local security shutter firm with good reviews. What a good fella he was , we have decided not to go with crocodile, but think they are a highly worthy company, given this experience.

First Class Service
Crocodile have been excellent throughout, from initial meeting with Larry Brooks (excellent customer service), to the Technical Survey by Andy (very prompt and highly professional), to dealing with Izzy (office, follow up, and installation date), to finally Dave & George (installation team), who arrived dead on 8am, working tirelessly till finish. Both Dave & George were highly professional, nothing was too much trouble, and the installation of both garage doors was first class. Clearly these guys know what they are doing. Both were super friendly, and we are thoroughly satisfied with their skills. Dave gave a thorough run through of the functionality of the systems, and we cannot thank them enough.

From the initial visit Mark, was helpful, explained the installation stages, the technical chap was on time and excellent.

After months of research and 5 quotes…
After months of research and 5 quotes we decided to go with Crocodile Garage doors.
This is our experience with this company, right from the onset we got an estimated cost and after a few days we had a survey conducted with a detailed cost.
We were kept in loop with every detail and future appointments and not long after we had a fitting day.
We had Mark and Paul arrived at 8am sharp as per the appointment plan and took them just under half a day to complete the job. They were really professional and when we encountered a small problem they just came with a straight forward solution and I could not thank them enough.
I would definitely recommend this company , thank you
