Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Cross Country Mtg made the same mistake twice so far by paying the real estate taxes for our entire condo building of 14 units instead of just our portion of the bill. They took $25,000 out of our escrow account, money that wasn't even there, to pay the entire tax bill instead of the $2500 we were responsible for. Their customer service team does not help. They don't care. And they make the same mistakes over and over. Worst experience with a financial services company I've ever had.

Yet another USA spammer

Yet again we have an American company that firstly is too stupid to realise that a .co.uk email address is not even in their country so the person will have no interest in their products.
Secondly they think it's OK to send spam emails and lie on their website stating that they don't.
Thirldy they don't just send one email they keep sending them, several each day and over multiple days. Again too stupid to realise that this isn't the actions of a reputable business, but then they clearly aren't.
Would you trust them with something as important as a mortgage, you have to have a unicellular brain like they obvioulsy do and not care about things or compliance with the law as they don't.

Cross Country Mortgage is THE WORST

Cross Country Mortgage is absolutely by FAR the worst financial institution I have ever dealt with! First, the mortgage process was ridiculous with paperwork, they even took so long I had to re-submit years worth of both business and personal returns as well as provide more business P&L statements. Second, when my homeowners insurance expired, I got a new policy effective 9/1/2021. My old policy expired midnight 8/31/2021. Cross Country CHARGED me for a 1 day policy because they said my old policy elapsed! WHAT A BUNCH OF ID10T5! So they send me a 17 page policy in December for 1 day and take $10 out of my escrow. Well, I requested an escrow analysis because I noticed a balance of over $2,000 owed to me on escrow and they told me that I had to wait until January. It gets worse. I get a notice of escrow account disclosure dated 12/22/21 stating they are sending me a check for $2,385.84. I called 2 weeks ago 1/5/22 and they said they mailed it 12/23/21. Still not here.
Worse yet, I mailed my January mtg payment 12/23 and as of 1/13 they claimed they had not received the check. Tried to make payment thru the web site, but they said they couldn't process so I called and paid a fee of $11.50 to pay by phone so I wouldn't be late. That evening, both the check and my phone payment hit my account so I was overdrawn on the bank and had to pay an overdraft fee. I called the next day and Cross Country refused to refund the phone payment or the check, saying they applied excess funds to my February statement and to my principle (escrow analysis showed my monthly payments decreasing by over $140). I did not authorize them to pay for statements I had not received nor allocate additional funds to the principal. Nobody called, emailed, or texted for permission to allocate these funds. CROOKS!

STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE - NIGHTMARE

RUN AWAY...Mackenzie Packham "SR.loan officer" but what we didn't realize is that she had little experience with a difficult loan. We explained our situation and told her we didn't want her to order appraisals etc (we have to pay for them- we have plenty of equity - it was a check the box thing) if she couldn't close on the loan for other reasons. She said she "had no problem" closing, ordered the appraisal and then COULDN"T CLOSE. that was a waste, until we found another loan officer (different Co) but the appraiser WE PAID for wouldn't give us the required information to close and we had to pay for yet another appraisal. That is robbery. WE PAID for the appraisal, we should own it. Mackenzie doesn't know what she's doing, (I'm sure it was inexperience) but as far as customer service or any understanding she has zero. all she wants is to make her buck. cares less about what is going on with your loan. I have an email stating not to order an appraisal until she had all her ducks in a row (We knew the appraisal wasn't the snag) Out of country re-fi's are complicated. RUN DO NOT GO HERE

A new style of lender…

5 years ago I contacted the James Beard Team. I sat down and Talked with Jackie and she advised me on how to reach my goal of home buying. The house deal fell through via sketchy seller. I remember what Jackie taught me and recently I went in and started the process of buying a home. The company is precessional yet I leave with the feeling of a close family. Alex is the bomb. This is the first Time I’ve felt comfortable and confident and not as if I were hoping, begging, or pleading for a home loan. Make an appointment plan out a home purchase take their advice and I promise you’ll leave satisfied, condiment, and pleased with the family known as James Beard Team.

Awful experience

Awful experience. Once the process was started on my refi, everything moved very slowly- it seemed they only worked on the loan when I would email asking for an update. For over a month, I was told the loan was in underwriting and was almost finished. At over six weeks into the process, I again asked the status, and was told everything was wrapping up. Suddenly, I was told there were snags and that the process couldn't move forward. No sympathy, no apology for not being upfront weeks earlier. They are a large company and customer service isn't their concern. Definitely stay away if you don't want to be led on!

My experience has been an absolute…

My experience has been an absolute nightmare. I have emails and texts to back up everything I state here. I should have known when the loan officer started off like a used car salesman telling me if I went with him today he would give me a considerably lower rate than anyone else had originally quoted, including himself. I have almost perfect credit (over 800) and no debt at all. Nothing seemed to be progressing after the first week even though I had submitted everything they asked for on the same day each time they asked for it. When I asked for a status update, I was told they "could not live and die on this account every hour of the day, one day is not going to delay anything." After demanding the status I was told my file went to underwriting on March 18th and confirmed again on March 22nd in writing it was in underwriting. On April 8th I got an email from the company saying the file had just been submitted to underwriting...my closing was supposed to happen April 9th. Well, cut to my 5th extension I had to sign because of the incompetence and I have still not closed as of April 26th. Every single day they tell me they need a few more things and these are the absolute last things they will need. Every single person involved, financial advisor, attorney, realtor and anyone else who has had to be involved said these people have no idea what they are doing and they've never dealt with anything like this before. Other than the obvious annoyance of being strung along, this has affected me financially, my living arrangements and all the little things like moving and deliveries and mail that have become impossible being in limbo. The sellers are also at the point where they won't even let me switch companies and want to pull out of the deal. I would not only never recommend Cross Country Mortgage to anyone, I will let everyone know this is the worst experience of my life and tell them to avoid this company at all costs. I wish I had just paid the higher rate with another company, it would have saved me time and money at this point.

I have bought many houses in my life…

I have bought many houses in my life time and refinanced some as well. I have never worked with a more professional bunch of folks as Justin, Nikki and Melissa. It went so smoothly and so quick as well!! They closed my loan very fast without a single issue. Justin also shows you with graphs and other things to let you know exactly where the figures fall for refinancing. They stay in touch and explain each step. I just can't say enough good things about this mortgage company and their people!!!!!
If you need to buy or refinance please give them a call you will be glad you did, SERIOUSLY !!!
P.S. Their branch is in Southlake but my entire loan was done on line until final signing and a notary came to my house. I never had to leave home.

Overpromising, disgraceful to customers!

Spoiler alert : Stay away from them ! Find reputable bank for credit union. Save yourself headache and don't engage with poachers that just look for simple application with perfect scores !
I own multiple properties and have refinanced two of them previously. This time i went through Costco since as we all know they stand behind customer. Well was i up for surprise when dealing with this guys!? After they locked my rate , i paid for appraisal i was very excited to have things going. Once they found out i have very small linen on the house , they completely dropped my case. They kept telling me documents were sent to the linen company for subordination, kept dodging my calls and emails for status. After i was told they submitted my application, i called myself (30 days later) just to find out nobody submitted my application. All of this took 120 days and the cherry on the cake was them telling me that my lock is lost and i can no longer refinance for the same rate!

We've lost a house, inspection and attorney fees

Michael Massimi, the mortgage broker working for CrossCountry Mortgage, has lied to us. Instead of doing the competent work, he assured us the we would get a loan and we proceeded with a contract to buy a house. We spent $650 on home inspection, $1000 on attorney, $350 on oil tank inspection and $600 on house appraisal only to learn that in the end the CrossCountry has rejected us. Before we learned about that, we also went ahead and cancelled our apartment lease and started packing. Since the loan origination was delayed by one month, the seller pushed us to pay $250 per day in delay fees. Of course, Michael Massimi has disappeared and couldn't get in touch for comment. We've lost a house and all the money.
I can't recommend this broker and this company to anyone who is looking to get a mortgage.

Found this company through Costco and…

Found this company through Costco and things went well up until the appraisal company they hired returned a faulty report. Granted, they had no control over the appraisal report, but the loan officer offer a refund of the appraisal fee. We accepted that offer, but the refund never came and our inquiries on an update on that refund were ignored.

I can't really recommend the Costco…

I can't really recommend the Costco CrossCountry mortgage company. I usually get great service from Costco vendors but in this case, the closing costs and rate was higher than most others and the service was pretty bad. The loan officer seemed burned out and didn't put forth much effort.
