What a fantastic day!

Valerio was fantastic! He brings a new perspective to the history with his prior work as an archeologist. We had such a gorgeous day too. 10/10 recommend!

DO NOT PUT YOUR DREAM TRIP IN CROWN TOURS' HANDS

We booked a guided tour of the Sagrada Familia the single most important landmark in Barcelona with Crown Tours months in advance. On the scheduled day, at the appointed time, we were informed by a company representative that the tour could not be fully conducted because the guide had suffered an accident.
While accidents happen (assuming the information was truthful), the company's subsequent handling of the situation was unacceptable. We were told only half of our group could enter, as a second guide was unavailable.
The lack of respect shown for customers traveling from other countries, investing hours of flight time to see the city's highlight, was shocking.
Upon contacting the company immediately, the only solutions offered were a full refund or a compensatory Tapas tasting tour. There was absolutely no effort made to:
• Reschedule the tour for a later time/date.
• Find a substitute guide from their network.
• Place us in other available groups or tours.
• Offer the basic, non-guided entry with an audio guide (since tickets are the hardest part).
The simple, repeated response from the staff ("The only thing we can do is refund the amount or offer a Tapas Tour") was robotic and deeply disappointing. To offer a food tour as compensation for the loss of a months-in-advance booked, sought-after, cultural centerpiece like the Sagrada Familia is a profound misjudgment of priorities and customer value.
We are extremely disappointed with the lack of respect and commitment to the customer experience. A company that claims to work with people and their travel dreams failed completely at crisis management. The robotic and unhelpful responses from "Mr. Eduardo" and "Ms. Eli" only compounded the feeling of being disrespected.
We strongly advise potential travelers to choose a company with better contingency planning and a genuine commitment to customer solutions.

Not the service we were expecting

The guide did not show up at the meeting point until 10 mins after the specified meeting time. That caused a general sense of "was this all just a hoax". The guide's communication was unclear and slow. And in the end we all almost missed the given time slot at the Uffizi Galleries, because we had to stand in the same line as everyone else. All in all a complete waste of money and time. I suggest you get your ticket online on the museum's official website and get in line at the time your ticket says. It will save you money & time.

Felt taken advantage of

We weren’t able to find our guide in the purple Crown Tour shirt for our 3 o’clock trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower. We were at the meeting-place Allee Leon-Bourgeois which the address listed on our confirmed ticket. Yes, we had the map also on our ticket (PV7B509M), but because there was no exact location on the street, we weren’t able meet or see our guide. We hired a gentleman to pedal us around the area to find the guide. We also asked a waiter at the Le Castel Café where we would meet our guide. After spending over a half hour searching for our guide, we returned to our Viking ship that was docked nearby. When we returned to our cabin, Crown Tour had the gall to text us about how we liked our tour of the Eiffel Tower. We texted back we weren’t able to find our guide and asked for a reschedule our $200.00 tour. We wrote we would be back several days later in Paris after our cruise to Normandy. We were told no space was available and no refund was offered. When we tried to contact their assistance service at the +39 389 343 7213 no one answered. We were told this number was located in Italy. We are seasoned travelers and fortunately have never felt so taken advantage of by a tour company.

Colosseum Tour with Valerio

Valerio was an awesome and extremely knowledgeable tour guide. His archeology background made for an exciting trip through the colosseum, palatine hill, and the Roman forum areas. He pointed out tons of history and explained Roman history in a fun manner.
