Had a great time for seven weeks in the camper, had a few little things like screws coming loose in cupboards but nothing serious. The Fiat Ducato was a nice experience to drive.
Alex, Laughlin and Ish were great to deal with over the phone for a little assistance. We would rent the same vehicle from this company again.

Coming from FNQ we were quite worried about how cold the brisbane and surrounding areas would be in the middle of winter. Compared to other motor home rentals we have used in the past the bed linen was amazing! Kept us northerners nice and toasty!
Jared and his team were so helpful gave us a demo on how everything worked so we wernt left wondering on how to get the beds folded out etc.
I can't recommend cruisin enough 11/10 service and we most definitely will be using again!!!

We had an amazing family holiday. The motorhome was modern/spacious & everything was working to perfection. Customer service with Ish was excellent and was a nice warm welcome at the beginning and end of our trip. Thank you, we’ll be back :)

Where do I begin? Our experience with this campervan company was nothing short of a disaster.
It all started with mechanical issues. My husband was left stranded on the motorway for over an hour before a tow truck finally arrived. We returned to the depot for a replacement van, which was just the beginning of a long and frustrating journey.
Once we arrived at our destination, everything went downhill fast. After connecting the water, the toilet flooded the entire cabin – think indoor geyser. On top of that, the toilet flush button was broken. When we finally reached someone for help, we were told to use the shower to flush the toilet. Yes, really.
They eventually sent a mechanic (thankfully), who managed to get the toilet flushing again – but only after installing a circuit board on top of it with a tiny button we had to press to flush. Hardly the functional and comfortable setup we were promised.
It didn’t stop there. The aircon/heating remote didn’t work. We had to reset the system and hold the remote directly to the sensor every time we wanted to adjust the temperature. The TV remote was also broken, and the TV couldn’t connect to our phones or iPads – not ideal for relaxing evenings.
I documented and emailed every issue, requesting a substantial refund due to the stress and inconvenience. What we were offered in return wasn’t even worth discussing. I didn’t pursue it further because, at that point, I just wanted to put the whole experience behind me.
Would I ever go campervanning again? No – I’d rather “shit in my hands and clap.”
Would I recommend this company to anyone else? Please refer to the previous sentence.
One of the worst company to consider for a motorhome
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
We planned to travel from Brisbane to Adelaide for my sisters wedding. We booked to pick up the motorhome at 8am. We had to wait 40 minutes as it wasn't ready. Then they showed us where everything was. We didn't leave until after 9, delaying our trip. The brochure also stated the van had battery power, enough for 2 days. We had planned to stay overnight at free camping spots. However the "solar battery" only had enough power for lights. Something we were not advised of. Therefore, leaving late and needing power to charge phones etc, we changed our plans and booked a powered site in Coonabarabran. Consequently we were driving at dusk. At 9.10pm we hit a feral pig. We pulled over, called the so called emergency 24 hour roadside assist line. We were in the middle of nowhere, on the Newell hwy with road trains passing us and shaking the van every few seconds. The Roadside assistance told us there was nothing they could do. ZERO HELP. NO ASSISTANCE. We were stranded and in danger as lightning had started a bushfire nearby, as well as the road trains barrelling passed on the single lane road. We called 000. Police came but had to attend the bushfire, but they called a tow truck. At 2.30am, no tow truck and the police returned. We had to abandon the van and they took us to town. The van had completely shut down and was unable to be moved, started or locked, so we just had to leave it. In the morning we discovered the van had been ransacked and our belongings stolen. The tow company brought the van to town but we couldn't access it as it was now a crime scene. Cruisin Motorhomes did NOTHING. They refused to send assistance, told us to "catch a train or taxi to Sydney or something". There is no train station in Coonabarabran. We were stranded with nothing. My son in law had to drive the 8 hours to come and collect us the next day. The motorhome company refused to refund us, citing a clause that we had supposedly signed. When we signed the docs originally, it was an e-signature. I believe they took our e-signatures and added them to the 8 pages of conditions they produced AFTER all this happened. There is no way there were 8 pages of conditions when we first signed. However i cant prove this. They are UNETHICAL, DISHONEST, RUDE, AND COMPLETELY WITHOUT EMPATHY OR CARE once they have your money. In total we lost around $7000 from using this company. And, if they hadn't kept us waiting, we would not have been forced to drive at dusk. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. This happened on 29 February 2024. It's taken me this long to write about it as it causes me PTSD to think about it. But, thankfully we are all OK. Which the "emergency roadside assistance " operator failed to ask us from start to finish.
Poor customer service
Don't use the express checkin waste of time. We booked well a head to have the RV ready when we got there.
Well over an hour to pick up a RV (cleaning),this put us well behind our arrival times.
other customers were in and out within minutes. We should had done a review check.
We recently picked up a sandpiper in Brisbane.Though you should be ready to have some wear and tear issues what we experienced was well beyond that. We voiced our disappointment to the staff, but they hide behind the fact that the van was within specifications. Clearly for us that wasn't the case as the van clearly showed signs of intense usage and was very dirty. You don't see half of the issues on pick-up and during your journey you find out exactly how much wear and tear the van has.
We will definitely not be using the services of Cruisin on our next travels and would advice fellow travellers to look at other options for renting a campervan in Australia.
Cruisin Motorhome Rental & Campervan Hire Brisbane
They should be a NEGATIVE 1 Star.
This company is a complete joke. As previous people have said they take $5000 out of your credit card if you don't want to pay their insurance (when you have travel insurance to cover any damage) they don't just put a hold on the money they take it out gone. Then proceed to take 2 weeks to return your funds to you and if you are from overseas you loose money with the exchange rate when they finally get to returning it to you. They make you set up and pay your own Tolls through Link+ and are not told to remove the vehicle off your account when you give the vehicle back you have more $$$ taken off you for tolls you didn't do someone else did. So you now have and account set up and you don't even live in that country.
Not to motion the staff at the Brisbane depot how rude the lady is on pickup and drop off....
I bought an ex-rental 6-berth Fiat Ducato/Avida from the Eagle Farm, Brisbane depot in October 2021. The microwave and fridge were not working when I bought it and needed immediate replacement. Since then I have spent over $18,000 in repairs: full transmission replacement, clutch kit, gearbox, hydraulic pump, new hot water system - the old one was split and rusty and the water was running under the floor. Worryingly, she broke down in the middle of the road, which is a safety issue, and had to be transported to the repair shop. When I bought it, I asked for the service history and was told that Cruisin' doesn't keep service records. I would have thought that a legal requirment of a vehicle hire firm. Cruisin is ignoring all attempts I make to contact them. I would add photos but she’s in the repair shop!
We hired a 2 person motor home for 15 days with this company and it was amazing!
Little van didn’t miss a beat and was exceptional on fuel during our 4000 kilometre trip.
It was well stocked with everything you needed but I packed too much. Lesson for next time.Just needs an better tv antenna.
I have no hesitation is recommending this company and will book with them again.
