Money Hogs of a Company
Been with Crunch over 2 years
Looks all nice and cheap from the subscription, however 6 weeks for an accountant just to do your self assessment for free while you have the government hounding you asking for it.
They up their subscription every 6 months now 27 quid a month.
£230 and 5 working days just for "statement" for an accountant to look over your income and state: yeah we believe you'll be good for this year.
They state you can speak to an accountant anytime yet every single time you phone there's no account available. This is me phoning 5 times on 5 different dates and times.
There's literally 0 perks to crunch now for the pricing they are absolutely money
hogs, if you search up the other possible companies you will find they are 30% cheaper to crunch.

As part of our service to Sole Traders, the cost of preparing and filing your Self Assessment is included in your monthly subscription.
Our current turnaround is up to six weeks from the point we receive all the necessary information. This SLA ensures fairness and consistency for all clients.
We understand that HMRC deadlines can add pressure, so we also offer an express filing service for clients needing faster turnaround. This is provided at an additional cost to reflect the prioritisation and resource allocation required to meet tighter deadlines.
Price Increase
We review our pricing annually to reflect the ongoing investment in our platform, services, and support. We’re always working to deliver value and transparency, and we appreciate your feedback on this point.
Additional Services
We note your recent request for a reference statement. This is an optional, additional service which is priced to cover the time and verification involved in its preparation.

I’ve been trying to solve a simple issue for more than six weeks. The account manger promises to call then he doesn’t. In the meantime sends emails claiming that the call was made. If you call them directly they don’t answer. I’ve tried several times to explain my issue by email and I keep receiving the same templated message from the account manager. I’m experienced a very poor service

Terrible. No end of year tax planning, no helpful advice and vague replies when asked questions.
Also filed my VAT return 3 months late which caused penalties. Wouldn’t recommend.
