Absolutely fantastic
Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish.
Would most definitely recommend them.
Very good service
Excellent experience with helpful staff.
Went to the Kirkby unit this morning needing two doors urgently (won’t bore anyone with the reason why). I cannot praise Michelle on the front desk enough for the level of understanding, helpfulness and professionalism. She went above and beyond customer service and would recommend this company. One happy customer. Thank you.
A sceptic that has been blown away by great service and brilliant finish!
To be honest having read some reviews a couple of months ago I was sceptical, however I always have a preference to give my work to a local business. I visited their site in Knowsley and having expressed my concerns to Michelle she acknowledged the recent challenges however assured me the issues were behind them, I felt confident enough to place an order for 9 oak doors, fully fitted!
My confidence was very well placed, early this week we had all 9 doors expertly fitted, on time, on budget and has created an amazing finish to the rest of the work that has been undertaken.
If you are unsure whether to hand over your hard earned cash, pick up the phone, talk to Michelle and I’m sure you’ll place your order and not be disappointed.
Their digital fitting solution has given us a fit that we have never had before, both to the 80 year old part of the house and the new extension!
I have high expectations, these guys are great and fully recommended!
Cannot understand the bad reviews
Cannot understand the bad reviews. We went to their site and received a very warm welcome and guidance from Michelle. She discussed our needs and gave us a provisional quote which we ultimately selected and paid the deposit. The fitter, Michael, arrived before the expected delay given to us the previous day. He has a excellent work ethic. After 2.5 hours we had 5 superbly fitted new doors. The whole experience lasted a month from initial visit to completion. My wife and I have no hesitation in recommending this company.
Interior doors fitting
Despite reading some of the previous reviews and a visit to CSM doors we decided to appoint CSM doors to supply and fit 10 interior doors.Firstly the customer service we received from Michelle was second to none ( the main reason we opted to buy from here ) Mike the owner came out to digitally measure up and went through the process and advised on the waiting time 3/4 weeks which was adhered to.
The fitter Mike arrived earlier this week and what a job he did, he was quick clean and left absolutely no mess, he has an incredible work ethic. The doors all arrived cut to size with handles and hinges already fitted and doors pre primed. The 10 doors were fitted in one day and the doors we purchased were Treviso and are of very good quality.
I was totally impressed with the digital measuring which means all the work is carried out in there factory before they arrived at my house.
We can't thank CSM doors enough as from the start the customer service we received was as good as anywhere and the finished product is great we are thrilled with our new doors.
I would without doubt recommend CSM doors as a place to go.
Thank you
Excellent doors
Excellent doors supplied, digitally shaped
spray finished and fitted all to a very high standard. Would recommend to anyone.
Fantastic service
After reading previous reviews we were unsure. But decided to give them a chance. And that chance paid off as I could not fault them in any way. The service from start to finish was fantastic and the way that the doors fit is absolutely brilliant and a great idea. Could not fault in any way great customer service; would highly recommend.
Excellent company and friendly staff
Excellent company and friendly staff, a highly professional and punctual experience. I would highly recommend this company to fit doors to my family and friends. a well designed system and idea of digitally scanning the door frame which reduces the mess made during fitting.
Just read the other poor reviews
I won't go into much of the details. Just look at the other lengthy reviews and it's every problem other people have had. Paid in full, then after a 10-week chase during which I was mostly ignored (voicemails every day with no response etc.), then told they had ordered the wrong doors. I then cancelled the whole order. It's a week later now and he won't refund my credit card - although he said last week he'd do so immediately - has asked for my bank details, which I have refused to provide, because god knows what he'd do with them. I don't know if they are incompetent or actually criminal to get your money, but this is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. You will not get your doors, you will get swindled or frustrated or both.
Do not buy doors from this company
This company are just charlatans taking your money! I paid £275 for a door (plus £30 delivery!) which never turned up. I doubt they ever had the door in stock. Customer service calls go through to a man in a van - literally - who pretends he is writing your details down. After several emails asking for a refund and no reply I will have to contact my credit card for a chargeback. Very unhappy. Please don’t buy from them and use a reputable company instead.
One word- Incompetent
One word: Incompetent. Ordered 3 doors beginning of March, all which, according to the online shop, in stock.
I didn't receive any doors for a couple of weeks so I chased. After many unanswered emails and phone calls eventually I was told the doors were out of stock and would be back in stock May.
Now May has arrived no doors or updates from CSM, despite the online shop now showing all doors back in stock. I've cancelled my order now as I couldn't get in touch with anyone again at this company. Extremely poor and will definitely not use again
Ordered 3 doors from csm back in…
Ordered 3 doors from csm back in December (4 months ago). Initially they hadn't placed the order of my doors that needed priming so said there would be a delay - so I asked for a discount and got refunded. I should have taken the refund and left it but instead I rang them and finally got through to reorder. I waited and waited for the doors, rang a million times only to not get through to anyone and when I did it would be a warehouse worker who said someone would ring me back - this never happened. Couldnt agree more with reviews stating that their communication is utterly dismal and not worth the agro for the price of competitive doors.
We found out the doors weren't being manufactured till end of Feb so I said we'd wait given nowhere had the doors. Week after week went by and they'd say that the doors would be coming. Looking back what fools we were ! Finally got a guarantee of a date with Mike who even stated that the doors were in the workshop waiting to get sprayed! 4 days before they're due to arrive I get an email and txt message saying weve been refunded our money. Not even a phone call. When rung up they stated the price was wrong and the doors were 80 pound more than what is on their website. How ridiculous and given what a farce this has been you think they would have continued with the sale out of courtesy. Instead a half hearted apology. Not good enough. If I could give no stars I would. What a headache it has been chasing them for updates on the doors / if theyve even been ordered. Better off going with another company for bit more money but with none of the hassle.
If you value your sanity, stay clear!
If you value your sanity, steer clear of CSM.
To begin with I want to make clear that CSM provide good quality doors and do a good job when fitting. This, however, is let down by abysmal customer service, where you're made to feel like you don't matter, as long as you pay up.
I'll start at the beginning...
At the tail-end of October, I called CSM to measure up to fit 9 internal doors. Mike agreed to come over on a Saturday to do so, which he did. That afternoon we drove over to their unit/showroom to look at door samples and furniture. We chose the doors we wanted and placed an order with the lad on the counter, Greg. The total amount was just over £2000 and we paid the deposit of approx. £400 and were told that fitting would likely be towards the end of November.
When I'd heard nothing by the last week in November I tried to call the office, and this is where things become hugely frustrating. Nobody answers the phone! I was spending a huge part of my working day, just trying to get through. On some days I was dialling in excess of 20 times, just trying to speak to someone. When I did eventually strike lucky, I was told that orders were behind schedule, something about a joiner 'walking out' and that my order was due to be processed. I agreed a date for fitting and left it in Gregg's hands. To my horror, I received a call a few days later to say that, despite me placing my order more than 4 weeks earlier, the doors I wanted were not available in one of the sizes I needed. I then had to go online, with Greg on the phone, to select an alternative style. I then had to call my wife, while she was in work, to advise of this development. So, we selected an alternative style and agreed a new date for fitting. So, then, a few days later I received another call to say that of the doors I'd now selected, two of them weren't in stock and I would have to wait for them. Bearing in mind, I had ordered originally in October, we're now approaching Christmas and I had no choice but to agree to partial fitting, with the rest completed after Christmas. Not ideal but I could live with it. To their credit, Greg called me back a little while later to say that actually, if I wanted the job to be completed before Christmas, there was another option. They could order the non-glazed doors in and fabricate the glazed option themselves. I was sceptical of this, but was assured that "nobody will be able to tell". I agreed to this approach, with the caveat that, if they did not match, they would be replaced. Incidentally, I can tell the difference as a different sized beading has been used, but nobody else has noticed.
So, here we are, a couple of weeks before Christmas. I book a day off work, and get ready for the arrival of Mike and his team. When nobody had arrived by 11am I began to worry, and began the painstaking process of trying to get through to the office by phone. After numerous attempts, I gave up and called Mike's mobile number. He picked up and advised that the doors were still getting their furniture fitted and the lads would be over in about an hour.
At 2pm a lad arrived and began to remove the existing doors from their frames. He asked me where I would like him to put them. I initially said "just lie them down in the back room please", but then thought again and said "no, don't do that, there's nine of them so they won't all fit". The look of surprise on his face said it all. I knew he didn't want this next conversation. To my (non)-surprise, he proceeded to tell me that, actually, he only had 5 of my doors with him as there had been a problem while cutting one of them. Now, you need to remember that I had spoken to Mike just hours before, and he had made no mention of only delivering half of my doors. Anyway, the lad tells me that Mike is on his way and would explain. When Mike arrives he explains that he can only do half of the job today and would have to come back. He essentially doesn't have the manpower to keep up with the workload. Now, I accept that things happen, but there was no communication whatsoever. I had taken a day off work and we're now two weeks until Christmas. After a heated conversation, I agree to let Mike continue and he cracks on. He and his lad do a very good job at fitting the doors that they brought and Mike agrees to let me know when he can come back to fit the rest, but promises it will be before Christmas and that "he will work around me" as he knows I can't take another day off work.
Well, you guessed it, no communication for the next week or so. I try for days trying to make contact, even texting Mike and sending emails but get no reply. Eventually on 17th December a lady picks up the office phone. I explain my situation and she tells me that Mike is on holiday and I can't speak to anyone else as "they're all busy in the workshop". Mike's due back the next day and I leave a message to say that if, by some miracle, they can do anything the following day, I will be around in the afternoon to attend my daughter's nativity. No contact the next morning, so I wrote off ever getting them fitted before Christmas. To my surprise, as I'm driving home from work to the nativity, I received a phone call from Greg to ask me if I was home, as my doors were on the van and they'd be over in half an hour. True to his word, they turned up and did a good job of fitting. We are pleased with the final result, but the lack of communication and service is not worth it.
The next day, I received an invoice for the work, which was incorrect. It had the original doors that I ordered on it and some hinges that I never received (another story). I had to email back to ask for it to be amended. A new one was sent and I received a call on the same day to ask me to pay. Very efficient!
Anyway, after ordering my doors in October, they were finally fitted on Dec 18 and were are happy with them apart from one door which has stopped closing as the catch is no longer engaging.
I called Mike on 6th February to ask him to come over to have a look. He agreed to come the following day, after 4pm. Well, guess what.. he didn't show up and I've yet to hear from him.
I am at my wits end, and will likely just cut ties and get a joiner to come out, but I shouldn't have to do that when the work he has done is faulty.
Like I said, if you value your sanity, stay well-clear of this company.
Very disappointed poor service.
Very disappointed. Booked the fitter to come and measure back in December.10 am appointment no show. Called them at lunch, they assured fitter is delayed and they will call back when on the way. No call back. Now they don't even answer the phone. Bad service.
Can I start by saying I was worried…
Can I start by saying I was worried about getting a company in to do work to my house.
Now can I say, ‘what was I worried about’
There are reviews for this company that say ‘don’t trust them’ ‘they never get back to you’ ‘poor communication’
Well. Let me tell you that they are all wrong.
They have fitted ten doors for me and built one for an under stairs cupboard.
I am a very very very picky person and very hard to please.
The job they have done is nothing less than perfect.
They answered the phone every time I called, did all they could to help me.
And the cost was the same as I could buy them, finish them and fit them myself.
If anyone gives them a bad review I would have to question their motives because they have done a top job for me.
Cheers mike and staff. Great job well done.

needed 5 doors for the upstairs of a hall and landing. after a few internet searches i came across csm doors and liked the idea of the doors being prepared with handles etc before fitting to save time. Anyway i was in work on day of the doors arriving but my son was home to let the joiner in. it was only 2 hours between the text he had arrived to he had gone . That was on 5 doors and a bathroom one which had a push button lock fitted which i had supplied with the other handles. CSM supplied the doors hinges & latches. Well after the son sending me a photo text i thought it must be alright and it really is. The wife is happy as well ! Also so easy to pay via card over phone and they send email invoice . I will be back for more doors soon as well so thanks to the csm team for a top job.

It is such a pleasure to find a sound
It is such a pleasure to find a sound, reliable company who provide the service their website advertises. The measurement technique they use is brilliant producing the best fitting doors I've ever seen. And the factory pre-cutting and finishing means four doors were fitted in two hours by their technician as locks and handles are already cut and fitted so it is only the frames that need preparing on site.
I'm a fussy do-it- yourselfer who rarely employs others as I am so often disappointed when their results are worse than I can produce. Well done CSM Doors. I would recommend you every time.
