A bit of a belated reviews BUT Cucumber were great.

I was hesitant when my landlord told me that he was working with a company to get us free work on the flat but was very pleasantly surprised with how easy everything was. The work took two days, in and out and very respectful.

Would defiantly recommend.

My landlord decided to use this company to insulate my rental.
While Rae herself was great and tried to be as helpful as possible.
It didnt help that the company contracted out the work for my house to a company based in Scotland.
The company was awful.. A job that was supposed to take 3/4days took over 2weeks.
Communication from the company was non existant.
Promises of compensation didnt happen.
We had days of no heating in absolutw freezing temps and the care was non existant. Especially as I am a carer for my adult son and I myself am going through cancer treatment. The last thing i needed was more stress and more expense.
If a company contracts work out to others, they still bare some responsibility on how that goes and service the customer recieves. So apart from Rae who i believe tried to help.. There was little help from the company taking responsibility over the shoddy contractors they gave the work to.

I’ve been really impressed with Cucumber Eco. From start to finish, the service has been excellent.

They made the process of accessing free ECO4 energy upgrades incredibly straightforward. Communication with both us and our elderly tenant was handled really well, and the tenant is delighted with the improvements. They’re especially looking forward to the benefits this winter.

The property’s EPC rating jumped from an E to a B, which not only improves comfort and efficiency but also future-proofs the house against any upcoming EPC policy changes.

I went for a interview for sales advisor role which i got offered the position, in the interview I questioned the director Jonathon Mathews with regards to there reviews on here as they looked very suspicious “yeah there all blag reviews” this company has no knowledge on eco what so ever a bunch of chancers trying to make a quick buck at someone’s misfortune. Fake reviews sets the standard for the integrity of the company

As a good landlord with a long term excellent relationship with my elderly tenants of 18 years. I am always trying to make sure they are comfortable and any issues are dealt with. I replied to an ad for an EPC upgrade grant as my property is below the requirement for the 2030 requirements. What a disappointment to go through several phone calls and being given a positive indication of eligibility. It was only when they spoke to my tenant directly did they reveal that as the property had already got an old gas fired boiler and cavity wall insulation from the 1970's that it was therefore ineligible for the grant!
This means probably over 95% of older UK housing stock with inefficient boilers and basic very old cavity insulation would not qualify. Why did the agent not ask me that question and save me and my tenant from wasting our time and energy on calls regarding this useless scheme? Don't get your hopes up.

Excellent communication and friendly conversations. Quickly and efficiently sorted out all the necessary procedures to enable us to achieve goal of upgrading the EPC for our rental property.
