Severe lack of support - avoid.

Have had issues with my charger for a long time now. Can’t seem to contact support, you don’t get a timely response via email. I’ve had to get the charging port changed on my car and it successfully charges with other chargers. Powerverse also stated that I would have to pay the call-out fee for the charger regardless of fault found or not and pay for a replacement. My charger is still covered by warranty.

If you’re thinking of getting a vchrgd charger install via Powerverse, I would strongly recommend against it due to the lack of support.

Fast and Efficient Support from Powerverse – Even After Installer Issues

I had a warranty issue with my VCHARGE 7 EV charger. Initially, I submitted my claim through the VCHRGD website, but it took me two attempts and I didn’t receive any acknowledgement or reply. When I submitted the issue through the Powerverse app, the team was very quick to respond. They promptly arranged a replacement charger and booked an electrician to reinstall it, noting that my original installer had gone into liquidation. The electrician forgot to reconnect the charger to my Wi-Fi, but their support team was quick to assist and get it back online. Overall, the Powerverse team was responsive and efficient once I reached out through the right channel.

Great service

The engineer was very friendly and made sure I understood exactly what he was doing at each stage of the installation. The app is very easy to use to program scheduled charges and input electricity rates. I will recommend Powerverse to anyone who needs an EV charger installed

The charger is very unreliable and customer service is extremely poor!

The charger has been very unreliable in its performance, the customer service is terrible.
The charger will automatically terminate a charging episode in minutes after connection. One would understand the frustration when you wake up and find out your car still needs a full charge!

I have a solar panel/battery system installed, so via third party app I know how exactly the energy consumption like.
In spite of you choose solar mode, it will charge your car (if they don't disconnect) by using the power from grid.

The customer service will never answer your direct call. If you use live chat function, preparing yourself to have full day not doing anything else but to wait for their reply. The team did ring me a couple of hours later after I listed my query via live chat, however they cannot resolve the problem immediately, later they told me they have sent me an email I never received either in inbox or junk box, trust me I know how to check emails. When I provide them alternative email address to send me instructions, they never reply again.

I would get this EV charger removed and change to a more reliable brand.

Exceptional after sales service from Federico

Had my Powerverse charger for 18 months now and it has been completely faultless in this time.

Reached out to Powerverse as I needed assistance to swap the WiFi.

Instructions were provided by Federico immediately by email.

Due to the charger going offline during a charge it needed to be reset, a quick call to Federico and the unit is performing faultlessly again.

When selecting a car charger, be mindful of the after sales service (what will you do if you plug your car in and it doesn’t charge)

I can wholeheartedly recommend the Powerverse after sales department in this respect and especially Federico who gives great service whilst understanding the importance of getting your charger working quickly.

Terrible! Avoid the headache!!!

Terrible..please do not have this charger fitted. It is so temperamental - In the last year I have had multiple issues and the customer services is dreadful, back and fourth via email and then they just stop responding. Never return calls - that is if they ever answer the phone call. Seems like 2 people in the office. Now the charger keeps needing to be authorised multiple times through the night just to keep the car charging. I have woken up multiple times to find the charger has unauthorized itself somehow and I have 10% charge added, might as well have stuck to just supercharging altogether.

Use a well known brand like Ohme or one that is backed by electricity providers. This is cheap for a reason..They install and wash their hands with you when they cannot repair the fault. I was supposed to have an engineer attend - never happened, despite sending multiple screen shots of the failures.

AGAIN! PLEASE AVOID!!! Pay a little bit more and have well branded charger fitted rather than these clowns..

I like the security feature that asks…

I like the security feature that asks you to authorise with a finger ID before it can be used. One disadvantage is that if you stop the charge on the Powerverse, if you have to disconnect and reconnect. Slight frustration but overall a good product.

Easy, fast and reliable.

I enquired about the ev charger and Akash from Powerverse gave me a call and helped me throught till the charger was installed. Love the availability of someone there to guide and help you throughout the way. After buying the charger, I had to complete a questionnaire, submit some photos and then wait for the charger to come. A few days later the installer came and asked where I wanted the charger, an hour or 2 later, the charger was installed. Installer explained how to use and that's it. Highly recommended company for ev chargers for the simplicity, support and the cool app! Thanks again to Akash who got me on this.

It worked well at first…..

I’ve had the charge point for nearly a year now. Up until a few months ago I was 100% satisfied. It was easy to use and responsive, which is all you really need from a car charger. It remembered my scheduled sessions for overnight economy charging and allowed me to override in the app at a click if I wanted instant charging. Simple but effective.

Then the company decided to update the app. For the last 3 or so months I have had a 1 in 3 success rate for scheduled charging. I have told support that this problem only started happening since the rollout of the new app. They have implied that it is down to my charge settings on the car or how I am using the app but nothing to do with the app functionality itself. I have wasted hours of my time on this and it is costing me money as I am not able to get the full benefit from my EV tariff.

I’m not generally one to publicly complain but have tried speaking to the company privately on this matter and the issue has not been resolved. So please powerverse, sort it out.
