Fantastic Service
We have used CWH on 2 occasions. Once for a level 2 survey on a property purchase and another to help us redeem the help 2 buy loan.
In both instances CWH were fantastic. The surveyors (Richard and Sophie) were very friendly and professional. They were prompt replying to emails / phone calls and provided the required documentation in a timely manner.
Overall very impressed with the level of service and will definitely be using them again for any future moves.

Survey on a bungalow
The survey was carried out on the day that was booked. It would have been nice to get an email confirming that it was taking place - we weren't sure that it had happened until we received the report.

Absolutely fabulous service from…
Absolutely fabulous service from beginning to end. I am buying an old, grade 2 listed cottage so was advised by a few people to get the best survey done which was fantastic! The survey was completed to utterly superb detail and has given me insight into things I need to do as soon as possible and also in the future. Richard also said I was welcome to go through it with him which was brilliant as he put my mind at ease and now I know what I need to do. His report is and will be invaluable as a tick off list as I gradually embrace listed building needs and requirements. He also gave me good contacts to give me quotes for work which I need to get completed which was fabulous, especially living almost 100 miles away and being unfamiliar with the local businesses.
I can highly recommend this company for professional service and advice.

Highly recommended. Excellent service, professional people. I bought a house with my mum last year, and used CWH to complete the survey because they were highly recommended, and we were not disappointed. Their team worked quickly and efficiently, and put a lot of effort into ensuring that all our questions were understood and, where needed, helped us find workable solutions. I was so impressed, that I'm now buying a place with my father and CWH were the first people I called. On both occasions, they have definitely gone the extra mile. David Hall (partner) and Phillip Chapman (Senior Surveyor) are incredibly experienced, diligent and take the time to explain everything in terms that we could understand. Kelly Hallam, one of the administrative team, is quick, friendly and very helpful. Very happy to highly recommend. Have used and would use again.

House Survey - incompetent. Do not use
Extensive house survey undertaken and paid for, but totally lack of accountability for items not picked up ' by the 'experienced' surveyor and no acknowledgement of poor, unprofessional service provided when raised. Key items not picked up / acknowledged as any responsibility:-
- clearly visible and significant signs of damp in the ceiling
- a boiler with scorch marks on outer boiler casing
- 3 smoke / fire alarms that were at least 3 years beyond there shelf life

Thank you for your feedback following the survey carried out in 2023.
The RICS Home Survey Level 2 comissioned does not involve the carrying out of testing of services, however, the report gave specific details of when the heating system was last serviced (you were advised to obtain the service history from the seller), made clear recommendations regarding specific repairs highlighted in the service and that these should be checked prior to your legal commitment to purchase.
The smoke alarms were also referenced in the report, which stated that they were not tested.
