Cube e-bike experience

I bought a Cube e-bike in March 2025 and was initially uninspired. This was to do with my prostrate operation four weeks before which took longer to get over. I’m now a big fan of this bike with a decent level of assistance.
The first service was free - including sorting out pedal issue- so I’m even more of a supporter of Cyclehouse now. A really decent cycle shop

Third bike in, third time happy

My third bike in the workshop with Josh for a full service and yet again amazing level of care and knowledge. He was also on his own the week I booked in and still the timescales were honoured. My Cervelo is running perfect now so a huge thank you to Josh.

I don't understand the people who take filthy bikes in and complain or say "I'm not an expert but......" . Have some respect for local bike shops and if you think you can do better then do it, you'll quickly realise that you can't.

Fantastic customer care.

Bought Onguard u lock for bike in may. It out of stock. But was going away when due back in stock.
Simon absolutely fantastic, I placed order, and he kept it there safe, and sent it 2 days before back so it arrived next day! He even rang me abroad to see when I wanted it sent. Really brilliant Customer care. And Simon SO helpful and friendly. Will Def buy again from Cyclehouse. Thank you!

Service & workmanship- experience/issues

Took my old (2021) trusty for a service. Had really high hopes judging by the reviews (and price) . I wasn't in a hurry,left the bike with cyclehouse for about two weeks.

Work required: service, and upon furter inspection: new chain, new cassette, new break pads back&front. Asked for the tyre change (brought my own set)

Work completed by the shop: full (mid level £100)service + new chain & new casette, guys changed the tyres free of charge which I thought, was a nice touch.

Issues:

1. don't get me wrong, my bike wasn't super clean but I'd thought if you're changing the chain and cassette you'd at least wipe/clean the derailleur including pulleys as well as the hub & front sprockets down from the old buildup grease and dirt/gunk. It looks a mess.
Makes you think what is actually included in that 'full service'

2. Gears - after collecting and taking the bike for a test drive, noticed that rear cassette was grinding on two or three mid cogs, took it back for a "re-tune", now it's engaging on all but is very noisy and still grinding slightly on two smallest cogs.
I'm no expert but maybe slight frond derailleur adjustment would help?

3. Breaks - I thought I'll do them myself as it was a tad more expensive than I would normally pay for the pads; came to changing them and the rear safety pin is missing and I'm 100% sure it was there when I dropped the bike off at cyclehouse

Would I take my bike back.. probably not

I have been dealing w with cyclehouse…

I have been dealing w with cyclehouse as a customer for a long time and the service that this shop provides are absolutely outstanding from selling you the top quality bikes and electric bikes.There knowledge and advice is incredible and the after sales service along with the bike repairs is the absolute best so a big thank you to the amazing staff Simon O Simon h and josh.

Great service as always

Been to Cyclehouse a few times now and have been really happy with the service I have received. All the staff are very friendly very approachable and know their stuff. I've got quite a old mountain bike, which wasn't the cheapest when I bought it, but was a bit neglected. After sorting all the issues out, at a very reasonable price, I was ready to hit the trails again. Highly recommended, cheers

Excellent service from Cyclehouse

Just picked up my new Whyte E160 RSX from the lads at Cyclehouse today and I could not be happier. Great service from Si, Matt and the rest of the team who took time to explain everything in detail, patiently answered all of my questions, and more importantly this level of service confirmed to me that this is a proper bike shop with owners and team members who care about the customer and care about the products they sell. I can thoroughly recommend Cyclehouse to anyone who wants a first class comprehensive experience when deciding where to spend your hard earned cash. Travelled from Wigan for my bike and would travel farther if need be. Thanks lads.

Absolute life savers and true gents!

The guys here went out of their way to save my bacon today and I can't thank them enough!

I'm riding a long journey (John O'Groats to Lands End) and my rear tyre is worn so needed to be rotated to the front. They managed to fit this in within the hour over their lunch time and helped to send me on my way to complete the rest.

Top blokes, really friendly and I'm truly grateful. If you need a bike shop, I encourage you to visit here

Be wary of the costs and work done.

I brought my bike here to have a new rear wheel fitted, with a new cassette and chain. All though the service was great the job itself was disappointing. I have since took my bike to another bike shop where all these problems i had, which originated from the prvious bike shop, have been fixed and resolved. I was told that the chain was too long, this would explain why my gears kept slipping. I took the bike back to cycle house 4 times and my issues were still not resolved. I was charged £25 for a gear service, one i dont think was done or if it was, it was done by a cowboy. The rear derailleur was not straight either, and the gears were not set up correctly. I have found this out since, by taking it to another bike shop, where my bike now works perfectly.

Big panic 😱

I called them Monday morning and explain my situation that I needed my Scott addict bike as I was leaving for France 🇫🇷 next day for a sportive in the Pyrenees. Spoken to Matt the technician and told me to bring it straight away. Within the hour it was all sorted. My issue was a software one but it could have worse. The hardest part was I bought some donuts… 😂😂.
Thank you again so much to you all.

Avoid, a first LACK OF customer service experience I will never go back!

Just moved to the area and popped in for advice on a bike issue (with the bike), not given much help and the "senior" mechanic walked by simply ignored me did not even acknowledge me. Won't be going back as clearly customer service is not great, they have lost me as a customer before I got chance to start and I will spread the word around. AVOID!!

Took my bike in for full service

Took my bike in for full service, get new tyres and a few bits and pieces. From my first phone call, till the time I picked the bike up, all the staff were polite, informative and completely professional. Sterling job done, feels like I have a new bike.

Excellent service

We have just purchased two Wisper 806 folding bikes from the cycle house after first test riding one that was in store. All the staff that dealt with us were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and infectiously enthusiastic and explained that the models we wanted to purchase were not in stock and would have to come from Portugal. This was not seen as a problem and once we had given the go ahead they were ordered and we were informed they would be available for inspection the following week. Although the P&O ferry dispute did affected the timings we received a phone call very quickly to say that they had arrived.
I cannot praise the service we received highly enough. Our questions about everything to do with the bikes were answered professionally and honestly and we will certainly be using this store on future occasions for services and equipment.

I just wanted to say a massive thank…

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Simon and the team for a great buying experience. I ordered a Whyte 403 MTB bike online from Cyclehouse for my 8 year old boy. We discovered the following day it was out of stock, not surprising really due to how busy it has been since lockdown. We wanted to shop as local as possible, so agreed a factory order for some time late August. We were very pleased to get a call to say it was actually coming early August. The whole experience, calls, emails and handover was excellent. As for the product itself, it’s awesome. So glad we kept with these guys, the 70 mile round trip was well worth it, thanks again!!!

A refreshing change from the rubbish…

A refreshing change from the rubbish service encountered at both Halfords and Evans!

So nice to talk to someone who is clearly very knowledgeable and moreover cares about making sure what you purchase is right for you...a rarity these days!

Without doubt I would highly recommend Cyclehouse

consistently excellent service -pre and mid-pandemic!

cannot agree with the two recent reports unhappy with cyclehouse and its owner. Having just got my son's MTB back from a service/wheel repair in perfect order and within the last 2 months had a set up of wheels and Di2's on high end road bike, again without any hitch, i can only offer great praise for these guys......working under the current pressures of workload and hard to source components, i think they are doing a fab job of keeping the rest of us on the roads and tracks. i have used cyclehouse for more than 5 years now, without any issues ever and i would go nowhere else !

Best Bike Shop In Cheshire

If you live in the cheshire area give this shop a visit as they are a dyed in the wool proper bike shop, the owner simon is a lovely guy and the attention to detail that you will get including the workshop is second to none, a jewel in the crown of a local bike shop.
