Sadly disappointed with my first service on my whyte mountain bike. Returned dirty when assured it would be valated. Cogs not cleaned caked in gunk. Will not return as this was the second bad experience. Ok first problem was eventually rectified, suspect bottom bracket problem, returned to me with same clunking noise, took it back and faulty pedal found to be the cause. Again bike returned dirty, its only three months old. Taken photos day after supposed service carried out. Not content will not return.

Adrian.

Lets summarise here.
You had an issue with your new bike. We attended to it in a timely manner by stripping and re assembling your bottom bracket and greasing the threads which we thought may have caused the noise.
The noise persisted and you returned. I personally test rode your bike and figured out that it must be the pedals that were clicking so i immediately fitted more expensive ones while you waited.
That DID solve your problem.
You mentioned that we'd left grease marks on the bike so yes, i did say i would clean it when it returned for it's 1st service. When it was returned i admit i forgot about this and my mechanic Chris carried out your service as normal.
I think you may have the wrong idea about 1st FREE service! We don't clean the oil and dirt that has built up on cassettes and chains during this service, it's merely a bedding in service and is free of charge as a courtesy for all our customers.
I am sorry that we did not remember to clean the grease marks of your frame but there has been a Pandemic occurring over the last four months and we have worked tirelessly from morning until night to supply and service 100's of bikes often leaving after 8pm. We have served 1000's of satisfied customers in our 15 years in Warrington and have rarely met with this kind of negativity.
I think you are very ungrateful and your review is very unfair.
It is obviously your choice to shop wherever you choose in the future and i hope you find satisfaction elsewhere.

Whyte 805 - Great Service

I Purchased my Whyte 805 v2 bike from Cycle house on the cycle to work scheme a little while back and wanted to wait until i had the bike a while to review.

The service i got was top notch from Simon at Cycle House and the bike build was completed quickly. He gave me some good advice as I am fairly new to cycling which was helpful and there was no pushy sales tactics.

Would use again and have recommended others who have asked about my bike to give Simon a call.

Avoid people liars and say work needs doing when it doesn’t

Avoid people they will not reply to your messages once they have your bike customer service is shocking owner Simon is a liar .kept reading my messages and ignoring me when I was asking for advice and what was going on with my bike then tells me after 7 days it’s not even been looked at joke ! Well where do i start with this con artist company and owner
Thru axle stuck simple job tried to rip me off by charging me £400 for a wheel rebuild which it didn’t need phoned 3 other bike places and they said this was not right and was a ridiculous amount to try and charge. The owner simon is a liar and likes wasting customers time sends aggressive messages also
