Up until early September I had been trying to find someone to resolve various household issues including no hot water, falling tiles and a broken shower. It proved so difficult I was becoming so depressed about it all. Then I came across DAD.co and not only did they attend to my hot water problem immediately but returned to help me with the other problems in my house. The young man was helpful, explained everything and completed each task on schedule and within the quoted cost. I felt DAD.co were on my side, understood my situation and wanted to help me. I am so relieved and thankful for their help these last couple of weeks or so and look forward to having them return to resolve some other problems - this time in the kitchen! Thank you DAD.co for everything. Will be in touch again soon!

My central heating wasn't coming on after the summer, got expert help and a resolution. A central heating engineer would have charged a lot to give me the same advice and I'd have had to take a half day off work

I was offered the chance of trying out this new service - and I'm so glad I did.

After registering with DAD, I scheduled a video call to discuss the problem I had. During the call, I was able to use the camera on my iPad, to show where the problem was.

At the end of the call, we discussed whether I'd be able to carry out the repair myself (nope!), and agreed that a plumber would come to carry out the repair.

A few days later, the plumber duly arrived with all the tools he needed PLUS, because he'd been able to watch the video call, he knew exactly what needed to be done, so was able to bring all the parts he needed to carry out the repair. 45 minutes later, I had a fully functioning loo.

Without a moments hesitation, based on my experience so far, I'd absolutely recommend DAD. It saved me an awful lot of stress and, because I'd had the video chat to talk things through, I felt completely confident that the work was going to be carried out to a high standard. From start to finish, everyone I've dealt with, was very professional, friendly, and knowledgable.

Very impressed, and I'll absolutely use DAD again.

I was given some great ideas and was useful to be sent a link to the product I'd need to do one of the repairs. Very impressed!

Called DAD with a couple of questions about stuff I needed advice on, including an ancient sink fitting and a parquet floor repair. The advice was easy to understand and they even told me what parts to get and could order them for me if needed. Great way to get the job done right, rather than muddling through it. Recommended.

My £10 virtual call-out has just saved me £140 call out fee from a local drain/plumbing firm! With a screwdriver, bit of elbow grease and a hose pipe I soon had the man hole cover up and used a hose to clear the blockage. Big thumbs up for DAD 👍

My review of DAD is based on a Virtual Visit I had on 29th May 2016. I woke up on a fine Sunday to find my washing machine had finished its cycle, my clothes were clean, but the drum had completely detached itself from the machine. I could have literally pulled the drum out of the front of the machine if the hole was big enough.

I called a DAD Engineer using the Android App. I got through to an engineer in approximately 60 seconds. The engineer was able to help me, with absolutely no experience of repairing washing machines, take the top off the machine to access the drum. Unfortunately we couldn't see a huge amount inside the machine because of the lighting, but with the experience of the engineer and partly from me saying things like: "Do you think it's expensive to fix?" and "I'm quite happy to get a new one", I was advised to get a new machine after he explained in detail what the potential issues could be and how much they could be to fix.

Thanks to the excellent knowledge of the DAD Engineer, the exceptionally quick service... (and eBay), I had a new washing machine delivered and installed the same day!

Would recommend DAD to anyone.

I’m quite handy around the house however there are some jobs such as plastering that are simply beyond my skills.My wife stated the 2 lads that attended were very polite courteous and professional. They have done a fantastic job of skimming the ceiling and left it with a great smooth finish. The 2 lads also cleaned up after them and even vacuumed the stair well on both floors of the house. From the start of my video interaction with Phil to the point of the job being finished I found it really effortless and have been feeding this back to all that are aware of DAD.

Service was very good, responsive emails and helpful consultation via FaceTime. The finish of the DIY work was at about 70%… I'd use the service again though.

Pretty good. Have used them twice. Once to help fix the washing machine (which they couldn't do much about but spotted a dodgy plug socket), and the other when we had a slow leak under the sink - a bit annoying as it was just a loose pipe from the builder's we'd had in. But they spotted the problem both times.

I spoke to Dad regarding an issue with my washing machine. Within seconds I was connected over video link to an engineer. The engineer was able to diagnose the likely issue over the video link. He recommended I speak to a service engineer from the manufacturer and I was extra impressed when I received a follow up email from Dad with the phone number. Very impressive service!

Took part in their opening promotion, and have to say I like the idea. Have a video call, show them what is wrong and what needs doing, and they then arrange to have someone come out and tell you what needs to be done, and what materials you need to get. Then they go ahead and do it for you. All in all great service, and my bathrooms were treated and painted beautifully. You may have to wait for them to find someone in your area, but its painless and all in all done pretty quickly. Would definitely recommend!

What a great source for advice and useful helps and tips for all household jobs.

From those niggles that always get put off because 'well I'm not sure exactly what needs to be done' to major home improvements and you just want some independent advice as what is possible

Call a DAD expert and have them help - money well spent when you consider the cost of the call is so low.

I have used this DAD app service for fixing my house hold needs and I must say the app is very user friendly, very much customer focused, rate is very promising.

Also the technology innovation must be appreciated.

Overall all pleasing experience.

I would highly recommend DAD. I had a couple of odd jobs that needed doing I contacted DAD and told them what the jobs were and arranged a time and date that was convinient for me. They sent round a couple of great guys from Handy Heroes who arrived on time and completed the work quickly and efficiently. It's a great way of finding trusted individuals to do those odd jobs around the house that you can't do yourself without having to scroll through the Internet or asking around trying to find someone.

After many futile attempts to contact local and available handymen for putting my TV up on the wall, I got hold of one through DAD. All I needed was to download the app, register myself and my card, and call DAD up. It was quick for the DAD expert to identify the problem through this video call and line my work up for a quick fix with their Handy Heroes. The heroes were in turn quick to work according to my schedule to get the job done. DAD service is totally recommended!

Great call, friendly and seem capable to fix all of my DIY issues in the house.
