TOTAL SCAM!!! I never received items that I ordered back in February and when I asked about a refund, they tried to pawn off a gift card to me which I did not want. So then they sent me a Google form to fill out for a refund. I still have not heard from them or gotten a refund in a month. I emailed again and I’ve STILL not heard back from the company about anything I’ve ordered and about my refund. I’m never Ordering from them again. I’m not the only one having issues with this company when I comes to refunds also just looking at the reviews. AWFUL.

I wish I would have read these reviews before doing business with this company. Ordered the 3-month snack box gift for a friend's birthday MONTHS ago and still nothing + they charged my again for another month without my approval. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

Not worth purchasing from here
I would not recommend purchasing from this company. The processing and shipping time takes too long; they tell you to prepare to wait for 6-8 weeks for your order to arrive. This means that if your order gets lost in the shipping service it will be far too late to contact their customer service by the time you realize you have not gotten your package. I waited 9 months to be notified about my order and the best they can do is file a lost claim with the shipping service. I'm very disappointed because I paid for the product and shipping. I understand the product is coming from overseas but this just doesn't seem like a reliable company to be purchasing from. Might as well find alternate products in the country or local Korean stores that you can purchase directly from.

I have been waiting on a box for almost a year. I have been given a false reason as to why it’s taken so long. They claim they aren’t an American company, they’re in Seoul. But I’m seeing the Daebak Company HQ as an LA address. If so even the reason given as to “the real deal” on why the boxes hasn’t shipped is an even bigger and bolder lie. They make sure to mention the Ukraine Russia war as another reason the company is failing at shipping out orders.
So. We’ve had backlog of merchandise, shipping company is holding packages hostage bc they don’t trust that the foreign company is going to pay, Russia invading Ukraine has caused increase in shipping thus causing more of a deficit. But if I understand this part of the email correctly…they’re going to ask the Korean govt to bail them out.
All of this is to say they have lied to me at least once, they continue to say sorry can’t give a definite timeline bc merchandise back order. Which according to the email I receive the CEO of the company doesn’t even mention the supply chain we w problem. Simply money - or lack thereof. M

Not good
I was happy until last year 2023. I never received my last two boxes for 2023. I told them to cancel my yearly subscription before it renewed. They said they had already renewed it and couldn’t refund my money. It is now April and I have not received the first box for this year. I’ve sent several emails and am getting no results. I look at it as they have over $300 of my money and I have received nothing for it. Don’t subscribe!

DO NOT ORDER FROM DAEBAK! The first time I ordered they took 4 months to deliver. But at least I finally got the items. Stupid me, I thought I'd try them again because the deal they had online seemed too good to be true. Well, apparently it was. I pre-ordered some magazines in October. They eventually canceled the order in January because they couldn't fulfill it. I received only a partial refund in February because of "system errors" and I should get the rest of my money the following week. It's now April and I'm still waiting. I regret giving them a second chance.
Eta: I see your response, Daebak. I sent an email. No response. I was sent an email on April 10th that a refund had finally been processed and I should see it within 3 to 5 days. It is now April 25th, and I have yet to see it. Where is it?
ETA: It's now May 16th and I still have yet to get any other kind of response from Daebak. I also have yet to get the other half of my money. I've emailed and filled out their refund request form multiple times. They are simply hiding at this point, refusing to do what they promised to do months ago. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. You will never see your money again.

Pre-ordered an item, only to find out after emailing them about why it is taking so long to ship to me that they do not have any more in stock. Asked for refund, and filled out the form, only to get ghosted. I have sent numerous emails, and it has been longer than 7-10 business days since I not only submitted the request, but received an email saying that someone will look over it. I have honestly ordered from them before, and they were great, but now I don’t think I will again.

I have been “patiently” waiting for my seasonal boxes since May 2023. At this time I have been charged for 3 boxes; May 23, August 23 and January 24. I continue to get “canned” responses to my emails and what used to be a great company to order from is no longer the case!
Daebak continues to advertise their merchandise and gain new customers. I hope they have better luck than those of us who are existing ones.
No merchandise + no refund = pissed off customer!

Do NOT order from this company. I ordered a copy of both "Our Beloved Summer" scriptbooks on 11th Dec 2023 and I have not recieved an update in regards to my orders status, its location, why it's been delayed.
However they have managed to send me handfuls of promotional emails all this time. My item was not a pre-order, so there is no excuse there.

Still getting ghosted
I paid for their quarterly daebak box subscription. The first three boxes arrived OK. The fourth one (summer 2023) has yet to arrive. They used to reply to my emails with an apology and an excuse. Now they can't even be bothered with that. I also ordered a single CD from them in November. That hasn't shown up either, and I'm writing this in March 2024. The only reason I'm not giving a single star, is because I got three of the four boxes. Definitely go anywhere else.
Well, now it's the end of May, two months since my initial review. I still haven't received a thing from Daebak except for a promise that I'll get everything I've paid for. Unfortunately, there was no mention of when I'll receive something. I haven't received a Daebak box since last summer's box. I also haven't received my Dreamcatcher CD that I ordered in November of 2023, even though their website says it's in stock and ready to ship. I wonder if they screw over the new customers, or is it only the earlier ones. Anyway, avoid this place like the plague.

Use literally any other company to order Korean products
I ordered a mystery box in June 2023, received one email in September 2023 stating they were “waiting on final deliveries” and haven’t had a single form of communication from them since. Many bad experiences from friends and other people online, not just with mystery boxes or subscription boxes, but also just regular product listing. Don’t trust them, don’t buy from them, use any other online company and you’ll have a better time, I will never purchase from them again. Don’t start a company or sell products if you are incompetent.

This company is terrible and a scam. I am still waiting on my fall and summer boxes that I paid for last year. They keep giving vague answers about when they will be delivered and now have just stopped responding to emails all together. They have also turned off comments on their social media so you can’t see all the people that also have not received their orders. I want my money back but they are not even responding about refunding for items they have not sent.
