Never would I deal with again

Well where do we start…..!
Caernarfon branch- booked to view a property & I asked if any similar property with my specs around same area. Lad said he didn’t know and best look on rightmove! Surely you should know what job is.

Colwyn bay office- put offer in on house and ended up pulling out due to vendor issues. Was told by by them “they’d tell them (vendors) to leave by my completion date” and she passed me to manger who was totally intimidating on the call. Guilt trips “they have children” (they were living in the house I wished to buy & I have children and was homeless) then “would take ages to buy another house” then when I stood by my decision he slammed the phone down.
Was left voice nail couple hours later saying there had “been a development”. No email about said development
Was phoned again and was told “they’d tell could potentially complete in 2 weeks” I declined so she slammed phone down. I believe this was salvage tactics as nothing was sent in writing regarding these fictitious developments. Was then sent withdrawal of sale.
Total nightmare, rude and intimidating not to mention overpriced (a common theme with their properties)
Avoid

They've declined considerablyy

We've sold several times before with Dafydd Hardy over the many years and we couldn't fault them. This time was a disaster. They didn't do a single viewing and left us to do the heavy lifting. They ignored requests to view from a number of people. When we discharged their services they blamed our pricing which is hilarious because their original valuation was £200k more (which we are ignored) than the current price we are selling for.

TOTAL TIMEWASTERS.

Starting on the 17th February I contacted this company a total of FIVE times, first by e-mail, (automated reply saying they will be in touch), then by phone, (will ring me back), phone again, (will ring me back tomorrow), phone again, (remembered my name and property details, will ring me back that afternoon), finally another e-mail asking if they could confirm they were actually an estate agent? Still no reply to that one. If my experience is anything to go by, I would avoid this estate agents like the plague and find a more professional company. You have been warned.

Booked a viewing with the Colwyn Bay…

Booked a viewing with the Colwyn Bay office. First of all the property was described as needing “a little TLC”. When we arrived we were greeted by the agent and told to take our shoes off - no problem at all. We were shown the hall and kitchen - nice. Went to the lounge - big but lots of materials, carpet rolls and window frames lying around plus big holes in the wall all due to unfinished jobs. We were then shown the downstairs bathroom which looked nice on the brochure. Well half the ceiling was missing showing the upstairs floorboards and wires hanging down! This was not on the photo! As we were going upstairs, the agent said she would have to hurry us as she had to get to another appointment! We were then shown upstairs and it was like a building site with bare floors, tools, holes everywhere and one room we couldn’t go in due to the floor being unsafe! We had to watch where we were walking in case we stood on something sharp or splinters from the wood as we had our shoes off! The agent again said she had to hurry but we asked if we could at least see the garden as this was part of the house?! She very reluctantly lead us outside and we had a walk around as it was a good size. The agent kept tutting and had a real attitude when we asked questions. She then said she had to end the appointment to go to the next!
Overall it was a very unpleasant viewing. We felt cheated as the description did not reflect the property at all and the agent was very unprofessional. Her attitude was awful and making us take our shoes off in that building site was horrendous and a H&S risk! I’m glad we didn’t take our children!

Dafydd Hardy / Aled Owen

We used Dafydd Hardy when we bought a place in the Llyn Peninsula. Aled Owen was the contact dealing with the property, so this review is really a reflection on Aled aswell as Dafydd Hardy.
So we found a fantastic cottage in Wales , Aled looked after us amazingly , well above and beyond what you’d normally expect an estate agent to do. He always answered my emails , and offered advice and help throughout the purchase. Being knowledgeable, patient and understanding I really felt like I was being looked after and made to feel that I was in good hands . I’d certainly recommend any seller to use this guy as we have had a really good experience with dealing with Dafydd Hardy and Aled in buying our Welsh home . He definitely is a credit to the company and his openness, honesty and just being a genuinely nice bloke shone throughout the process. Can’t say enough good things about him or Dafydd Hardy.
