I began DYF in January 2025 in the Tralee class. I was looking for something that would give me a regular exercise routine, which it does but the dancing and the music is the real bonus here for me. Hard to find good music with an opportunity to dance as well. I love it and look forward to it every week. Our teacher Natasha is brilliant and not once has she made us feel out of our depth, even though the co-ordination of the left and right legs and arms can be all over the place some nights. I would really recommend it for anyone who wants a bit of a laugh, wants to meet new people and loves a great workout. You won't regret it.

Beware the online classes.
The business model for DYF was to aggressively advertise the real life classes at venues, but then heavily leverage the online classes. This is a much more scalable business model, obviously. And MUCH more lucrative in the long run.
But many, including me, attend live classes for the atmosphere, social aspect and motivation. It’s not quite the same dancing on your own in your front room. Don’t be fooled!

The idea is great and although a bit rigid, the sequences are overall good. The website access is pretty dire..... unable to access music and videos up to week 4/5 but the marketing stuff strongly recommends you view before your classes 🤨. The first week..you lose 10-15 minutes of your class while the instructor explains everything... it would be better if you were asked to arrive 10 minutes early for your first class so you get a full session. Second week was cancelled with just an hours notice because the instructors car broke down... the next two weeks were a different instructor because of holidays...my friend couldn't attend for a couple of weeks because of a bereavement but they wouldn't allow her to carry 'credits' across which is poor really.. I only attended two classes (well 1 and 3/4) and I wanted to move to another team because of the inconsistency of the instructors but they wouldn't allow that either.... I am pretty disappointed about that .. and especially since they cancelled on me with very short notice .. I only got the message when I was parked up outside!... no chance to speak to the instructor either...she waits in her car until a minute to go and then set up...her mike failed both weeks I went so time was lost messing about with that...and then I couldn't hear her. So, all in all I was very disappointed and I wouldn't recommend the company... but if it worked for you.. great 🫤
A VERY TYPICAL ‘CORPORATE’ REPLY BELOW, AS EXPECTED….I HAVE CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE, A COUPLE OF TIMES TO NO AVAIL….DYF RESPONSE DEMONSTRATED A FINANCIALLY DRIVEN ORGANISATION…..PEOPLE DON’T MATTER..😕

Was I nervous when I first started? You bet I was, but took my old, unfit self along to the first class and came out buzzing. Yes I was shattered, but the music, the steps, and the ones I made up because I couldn’t get them right at the beginning, just added to the enjoyment and giggles. None of us were step perfect but I could see from the faces of all those around me that they too were having a good time, and working out.
The thing I love about these classes are the weekly dance step tutorials and the bonus classes you can do at home to practice. The class is addictive and it makes you work out. I didn’t know I could do a figure of eight with my hips, but now I’m doing it with the best of them. Each week, as we progress, I am challenged and when I get the steps wrong, it doesn’t matter as I just go with the flow and thoroughly enjoy myself. I feel fitter, my body feels loser, and I know I have toned up. You meet some lovely people there, all with the same goal of getting fit whilst having fun. As a child of the 60s I’m loving the music, and the various genres that are played each week. At the ripe old age of 71, I feel I am living my best life and I have signed up for the next class. I definitely wouldn’t be picked for Strictly Come Dancing LOL, but I’m certainly more co-ordinated and feel more confident in class and I’m loving it.

I am so happy that I braved it to go to dyf, having put 5 stone on over the pandemic with giving up smoking and going through the menopause I promised myself last April 2024when I started a life changing eating plan that when I reached a 3 stone weight loss that I'd start dyf,I have lost 4 stone and going to the classes weekly has been life changing for me, I have so much confidence and energy and absolutely adore the classes, they are so much fun and whether you have rhythm, energy or not it doesn't matter as everyone is so accommodating.... I love it that much that I'm booked into the next session.....

Absolutely love the classes! Great laugh and the moves and music make working out so much fun! It doesn't feel like a workout but boy are we working out. Feeling great after each class. Just finished my first term and signed up for the next 8 weeks again to keep it up.

The teacher definitely makes the experience ace!! Why?... well, that's easy. She is constantly smiling and laughing with a lively yet unintimidating personality. Although superfit, she is sooo approachable and has a great ability to get us connected and moving to the best of our kinesthetic ability. She shifts the rows throughout the session and it is clearly noticeable that us 'allsize ladies' are totally comfortable every week in letting go. In these classes no one is bothered if they get the steps wrong, yet we are getting fit and making friends at the same time! The one thing I would change, but its not a biggie, - is to slow the directional videos right down and do several repetitions of moves before going on to the next one. Even better... get our teacher to record the moves PLEASE! She would be great at it.
So where am I at now... Easy - re-booked and now on my second round of 7-week classes (flicks bug of shoulder and smiles). Vala

It's fun, it's my time once a week. It doesn't matter, your size, shape or age. It doesn't matter what you wear to class. Everyone is so friendly. The steps are taught at the right pace each week. Our teacher Jessica in Drumcondra is our weekly 'ray of sunshine'. I've even suggested to a Mobile Home park in Wexford to think about setting up a class on site in the summer!

As a new mammy DYF has given me so much of my confidence back. Each class is so full of energy and encouragement that the idea of weight never even crossed my mind. It’s a place to turn your brains off and just have fun.

For years I've wanted to dance on a regular basis but my husband isn't keen so when I heard about Dance Yourself Fit on Instagram I took the plunge and signed up. I'm so glad I did! I was a bit daunted but the videos explaining each week's steps put me at ease but I needn't have worried. The instructor is excellent (Marylebone, London) and the atmosphere is fun and non-judgemental. It is wonderful to see people of all ages enjoying the music (which is brilliant and varied). The fitness side is a huge bonus. I'm looking forward to the next time there's dancing at a party or wedding as I'll now be able to join in with confidence! Can't wait for next term.

I saw this dance class on Facebook and said I'd give it a go and thank god I did. It's a fantastic class. I went in by myself and made friends so quick. The teacher was brilliant. It didn't matter if you did the steps wrong as we all are just there to have fun. Would 100% recommend anyone to try it.

Changed the day of the class twice in 8 weeks. I booked a Tuesday class at 8pm as it suits my working hours. Twice in the last 8 weeks they have just moved this class to a Monday night. I work late on Mondays which is why I didn’t book a Monday night class … basically told by email tough … no refunds given … Jess who teaches the class is amazing but not at all impressed with DYF customer “service”

I attended my first session, due to health reasons, I was unable to continue. The Company promises a refund if you contact them within 24 hours. Refund received, well done!
Excellent class, give it a go!

DYF classes have been absolute joy! It's fun, and good exercise that you don't even think about as an exercise as the music just takes you to the world of enjoyment. One hour just flies by. Learning new steps is fun, and when I got them wrong, weekly basis, I just laughed. We don't take it that seriously. The group is friendly. I highly recommend it.
