My experience With Dandi Wembley

I’ve been living at Dandi Wembley for over 3 years. Unfortunately, my experience has been consistently disappointing.

Key issues:
- No hot water in the building for more than 2 days. (20 March to 23 March)
- Heating failure (winter): No proper heating for over 2 months despite repeated reports. Temporary heaters were provided but were not effective and increased electricity costs.
- No hot water (20–23 March): The building had no hot water for around 3 days, causing major inconvenience.
- Poor communication: Required repeated follow-ups to get updates. No clear or proactive communication during major disruptions.
- No clear compensation: Despite prolonged issues, no clear compensation plan has been provided.
- Pest concerns: Personally experienced silverfish in the apartment.
- Rodents observed: Rats seen in the surrounding area and near bin storage.

Misleading Marketing & Poor Living Experience at Dandi Wembley

We chose Dandi Wembley based on its “premium living” branding, but our experience has not matched this.
- No hot water in the building for 3 days.
- No heating for over 2 months during winter
Temporary heaters were not sufficient and increased electricity costs.
- No clear or fair compensation despite prolonged disruption.
- Ongoing maintenance delays and poor communication.
- Silverfish observed in flats and common areas.
- Rodent activity seen around bin areas, often attributed to residents rather than addressed.

Do not move here

I moved in during September 2025, and despite it now being well into 2026, I am still facing the same issues I raised on day one. During my first week, I reported that my heating was non-functional and my post box was broken. Months later, neither has been repaired.

The winter was unbearable; it was so cold I couldn't even stay in the building. To make matters worse, I am still being billed a daily heating charge which management refuses to void. I have reported these issues via the app, emails, and in person, but my messages go ignored. When I do speak to staff, they are dismissive and condescending.

Beyond the flat, the building is poorly maintained. I have seen over 30 rats around the outdoor bins, there is a silverfish infestation, and the amenities are constantly closed for private events. I am moving out at the end of the month and cannot wait to leave. This experience has made me miserable and left me feeling uncomfortable even leaving my own flat..

Worst place to rent

I have been extremely upset by the poor management and have reported to appropriate authorities. First of all the “studios” aren’t even functional my room had two plug sockets by the bed throughout the whole “flat” so if you want to use any type of kitchen appliance or anything you have to plug it in the bedside.
Management communication was extremely poor, emails and maintenance requests were regularly ignored or only partially addressed. The flat was also far from clean despite being advertised as professionally cleaned, with visible dirt and poorly maintained communal areas.
The staff and building management were also blatantly rude for no reason and consistently dismissive, making it difficult to get even basic problems taken seriously. For example half the numbers you are given upon move in or on your contract go straight to voicemail they make it so hard to even speak to a member of staff.
Overall, I would not recommend renting here which is a shame because it looks nice but that’s about it. There are far nicer studios in Harrow with better standards and more professional staff, although they are more expensive you end up paying the same at Dandi due to all the hidden and suspicious costs and bills.

I think they overpromise and…

I think they overpromise and under-deliver. They also lie about the room and amenities. The place is barely holding up and the bathroom is a complete mess. The basin takes ages to drain and every day there are catfish and spiders to kill in the bathroom. The gym is just a bunch of dumbbells. Plus they don't really care about residents, but more about how they can make money. In fact they care more about money than actual health of residents. This is one of the worse experiences and actually a learning experience cause I don't think I am ever going into managed accommodation again. It is super frustrating experience for me.

Where do I start

From start to finish, my time at Dandi on the Hill was incredibly frustrating. To begin with, my move-in date was set, only for them to push it back the same week without proper notice. When I finally arrived, the flat wasn't even ready, which set the tone for the rest of my stay. Even worse, the small patio, which was advertised as part of the flat, was still unfinished when I left.

The hallway was painted with an overwhelmingly strong-smelling paint without any prior warning, and as I was pregnant at the time, I had to stay elsewhere at my own cost. They promised to install a towel rail in the bathroom, but that never materialised. Along with a few other issues.

When it came to repairs and maintenance, they were incredibly slow. Some issues went unresolved completely. One day, the power went out, and I couldn’t get my appliances to work. I called the out-of-hours helpline, who promised to send an emergency guy—but no one ever showed up even though I waited up into the early hours. The worst part? All the food in my fridge went bad, and they promised to send me an £80 voucher to replace it, which never came.

My oven was also out of order due to the power cut, and I went for two months without a working oven, despite chasing them constantly. In the end, I had to buy an air fryer just to cook. It was honestly unbelievable.

On a positive note, Adina, a member of the management team, was helpful. Lavina was also friendly, which was a rare bright spot in this whole experience.

Moving out was a nightmare. Deposits are handled by a third party, and it’s been nothing but a problem to get it back. They incorrectly claimed I hadn’t paid some utilities, despite me having a receipt. It’s now March, and I still haven’t received my full deposit, even though I moved out in November....

Finally, let’s talk about the rent. For a tiny studio flat, the rent was extortionate, making this whole experience even more frustrating. I wasted so much money there.

Overall, this was by far the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. The only upside was the location—it’s very close to the tube, but that’s about it.

Living at Dandi Battersea has been a…

Living at Dandi Battersea has been a frustrating experience, filled with ongoing issues and broken promises. From the start, we were given misleading information by Right Now Residential, only to realize later that much of what we were told wasn’t true.

One of the biggest issues has been the utilities. We experienced a full electricity cut-off for an entire night, and the hot water continuously shuts off in the mornings without any prior notice. The heating in my apartment didn’t work properly for the first six months of living here, despite repeated complaints.

What’s most frustrating is the lack of transparency with billing. We were promised that after three months, we would receive a breakdown of our energy bills. Yet, more than six months later, we are still paying random amounts via direct debit with no explanation of what we’re actually being charged for. Despite raising concerns multiple times, Dandi Battersea has failed to provide any clarity.

Instead of addressing these serious issues, the management seems more focused on chasing payments than actually delivering the service they promised. Overall, my experience has been deeply disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend Dandi Battersea to anyone looking for a reliable and transparent living situation.

Enter the room without permission and noisy party

Recently they held the halloween party which should be a good thing and they advertised it for finishing at 11pm. But it lasted until 1am and the staff said they got CLUB license from council and they were legal to put hard noise. No idea how does a residential building get a club license and the music even shake the whole building. The other thing is that the cleaning staff access the room without knocking and notice. I reported to manager to the building and they were just treat this like a small thing and without a sincere apology. The building manager not only care about the welfare of residence, even not care about the safety of their residence

Dandi on the hill - Luxurious on the surface (and expensive rent) not the service

Throughout my 1 year tenancy with dandi on the hill there were so so many issues. Heating was not working, water leakage, you name it. And after moving out for one month I still have not got back my deposit. They claimed that I haven’t paid my bills which were already settled 3 weeks ago.

Dandi on the hell - waste of time and money

I have lived in Dandi on the Hill for a few months and it has been a nightmare so far. The building has recently been converted from offices and some faults are coming up all the time such as pieces of furniture falling down out of the sudden, or leaking ceiling which takes ages to get repaired. The maintenance guy is rude and lazy, enters your flat multiple times to do a simple job, sometimes he enters while you are absent does nothing and marks the job as done. The building is based on a very busy road and the traffic noise doesn’t let you sleep at night as the windows are from 70s and not fit for human habitation. The management doesn’t deal with complaints, doesn’t respect residents or their rights. I don’t recommend to anyone who has respect for their time and money.
