While I was contacted, considering the serious nature of the problem, the lack of a useful response was beyond disappointing. The fix for my new guitar will be out of my pocket, likely costly, time without my guitar. It was a neck/fret issue, which ultimately is a quality control issue.
More broadly, I LOVE the sound, playability, the vibe of the EXL 1 I purchased! I own 3 Gibson LP’s, 2 Fender Strats, a Tele, 2 Kiesel’s, 2 Steinberger’s, 2 Ibanez, a Martin, 2 Cordoba’s, an Epiphone Joe Pass, a Jackson Fusion, an early Charvel, but I wanted a more engaging Jazz archtop hollow body. This guitar has a fast neck, the spruce top gives a BEAUTIFUL sound! But the high open E buzzes to the point of being muted, and now it’s developing buzzes on the B and G string as well. Given this serious lack of QC, I can’t imagine ever buying another D’Angelico, sadly. I imagine I’ll have to trade this in on a guitar that I can actually play. How utterly disappointing. I’d hoped that D’Angelico would make it right, but they’ve left me to fend for myself, and I just bought it this year.

The guy at the Warehouse, was exceptional, informative and delivered a well-packed instrument.
UPS brought it home. The guitar was a B-stock that plays GREAT. You can tell that the quality and effort went into building this fine guitar. I now have a D'Angelico hat and tee-shirt to help spread the word. One day I hope to visit New York City and stop by the main headquarters just to say hello. I am a senior citizen that wants to learn some slow-Jazz and Blues. Thank You!

Very fast delivery of a guitar in perfect condition. I love the hard shell case. Also the matching strap locks were a surprise! I normally have to buy them. The guitar itself is magnificent.

Garland was very helpful, even including the difficulties of registering for warranties.

I had to take guitar to store for a repair

I had ordered a gold skyscraper truss rod cover for my D'Angelico Semi Hollow Body Deluxe guitar. When it arrived I received a silver one instead. I notified the company by email and the very next day I received a response from the company with an apology and a promise to send the correct one. Three days later from across country I received the new one. Errors can happen but how they are handled makes all the difference. D'Angelicao went above and beyond in my book. Not only do they build a beautiful guitar, their service is great.

Amazing guitar. Purchased the Atlantic Deluxe, and it has become my go to guitar. Amazing craftsmanship and unbeatable style.

Since I recently purchase a N.O.S. EXCEL-1 Premier I decided to also buy a D'Angelico hard case and strap to go with it. I'm kinda weird in that way to have an item with all the accessories to be from the same company. What can I say, a beautiful guitar deserves the matching "bling".

Pickguard was packed carefully and shipped quickly. Also, nice and thick.

Excellent product line, helpful descriptions of each instrument, knowledgeable and courteous staff.

The gig bag I bought is of good quality, but the company somehow didn't think to list its dimensions on their site. I had to ask around in forums to find out that there's only 1 pocket (more would've been nicer) and that it's a decently padded bag that fits my Deluxe DC well.

Great customer service and my guitar and straps arrived as well.

I give it 4 stars because of the fact that it still does not have my acoustic guitar gig bag I ‘ve been waiting for over a year.
