Never buy a gift card from this establishment. I got a gift after having called to ask if they sold Fuego dancing sneakers (specified for a reason). They said yes, but didn´t mention the teeny small detail that they only have a pair or two in very big sizes and are not planning to buy new ones again. So once you have the gift card, you are stuck with it and have to spend the money in unnecesary things because they dont give money back. For almost a year I had to check the website regularly to see what was new in a store that specializes in classical dance and ballet. So as you can guess, nothing was of my interest. And if there was something, the sizing was an issue. The package took 3-4 weeks to arrive and then you have to go to the store or pay extra for delivery. Absolutely not worth it, worst experience ever.

Even though it turns out the ballet flats I had ordered were out of stock, the danswinkel team was quick to contact me with alternatives. We spoke on the phone and not even an hour later I was informed that the new shoes we agreed upon were on their way to me as soon as possible. Thank you danswinkel team for being so professional and helpful🙏

I do not recommend ordering online.
We did...yet the items never came.
We were busy calling them for THREE weeks to see where our order was.
Often, their promises to call me back did not come true.
After that, they agreed to refund the money but still I had to keep calling because "something went wrong" with the transfer. Right.
Long story short...we ending up going to a local shop because this had enough of a headache.
The only saving grace of this shopping experience was that everyone was quite polite on the phone.

I was on vacation in Amsterdam and came by the Danswinkel shop there. The store on the Bilderdijkstraat is really beautiful with a nice collection Werner Kern shoes, that I really like a lot. I had a chance to try many pairs and placed an online order. The shoes arrived in the good size and I am very happy with the service of the webshop. Till next time in Amsterdam!
