I ordered 2 pairs of socks
I ordered 2 pairs of socks. Was sent the wrong size and wrong type.
I ordered from the uk so it’s going to be a bit of a pain to return them now.
Socks feel pretty solid in fairness, just don’t expect them to get the order right first time.
Poor Socks
Ordered three pairs, one arrived with holes and flaws so can't say their quality control is worth a penny. Second pair have lots of loose threads after one wear and look shabby already, third pair I hope I can return for refund. Spend a fortune on these but they ar not a patch on Bridgdale and the customer service is seriously wanting some attention.
Not set up for proper Uk trading
Wonderful socks, but I got charged £114 by FedEx for customs charges and Darn Tough were unable to resolve this.
I bought the 4 pairs of socks from the UK website, paying UK delivery charges, as a Christmas present. In late Jan I then got issued with a charge for unpaid customs charges by Fedex. Despite having tried multiple times and ways to get this repealed since then (and to do Darn Tough uk justice, they attempted to help), it was impossible, so I have ended up paying £114 to FedEx’s debt recovery agency as they would not respond to my emails themselves. While this may be have been partly a FedEx issue, Darn Tough were not set up properly to prevent this issue. I recommend avoiding buying the socks directly from the website and find a UK retailer. The quality of the socks themselves is terrific.
Pricey, but I am willing to pay that for socks that feel this good.
Most socks sag on me at the end of the day, but these feel just as good as when I first put them on. I consider these luxury goods (and I am not much on luxury goods) that I am willing to pay for. I would like some more neutral colors, though, as I live in the south, and my socks are very visible.
First of all the socks are great
First of all the socks are great! You get the quality you pay for!
While most companies won't live up to their grand guarantee claims, Darn Tough are leading the way!
When a pair of socks started to develop small holes after three years I filled out the online form, to be honest I was really expecting them to be "Unconditionally Guaranteed for Life".
However their customer service made contact very quickly, and with some simple instructions to follow the socks were then replaced.
I was very impressed that they stand by their products to this level and honor their warranty, so I also bought another pair.
Very happy customer indeed! :)
The best most comfy socks ever
Darn Tough socks for without doubt the best socks I’ve ever had.
They are so comfy. I don’t think I ever expected them to be so cushioned. I wear mine for work every day. I’m on my feet all day every day in all weathers, and be it hot or cold they’re perfect.
I would recommend them to anyone wanting super comfy socks.
Had ordered a total of 5 pairs of…
Had ordered a total of 5 pairs of shocks, and delivery came all wet-shocks with terrible packaging for the product. Asked for a new pair of socks and returned the one received earlier, now after a month today, still waiting for my socks to arrive.
UK customer service is terrible I believe.. They keep on 'getting in touch with their team' for weeks.. Why do you exit if can not deliver and answer the consumers?
With all of the hype
With all of the hype, these are simple sweat socks, softer than many, and way overpriced - $22 for a pair of sweat socks?! - with all kinds of gimmicky sizzle.... and the prices go up from there. Granted they are made in the USA, and that is important to me. Still ... almost as happy with socks from Costco where I can get six pairs for that amount. Although I'd rather buy American, as long as they are NOT made in China, North Korea or Russia .... I'm fine
Good experience
I highly recommend Darn Tough. I have a pair of socks that need to be exchanged due to some problem with my socks. It took less than an hour to approve my case ordered the new one on the same day and got my new pair of socks less than a week
Very strong socks
Very strong socks, durable and long lasting, i got now 5 pair from 5years old till this week and they all are in super great shape even after wassing multiple times.
Lifetime Warranty Exchange Process
Due to the lifetime warranty and a recommendation from a friend, I have purchased eight pairs of Darn Tough Socks:
1. Men's (S), 1/4, Cushion, Midweight, Tactical Sock, Black x3
2. Women's (M), Micro Crew, Cushion, Lightweight, Hiking Sock, Ceres Aqua
3. Women's (M), Micro Crew, Cushion, Midweight, Hiking Sock, Treeline Blue
4. Men's (M), Micro Crew, Cushion, Midweight, Hiking Sock, Lava #2
5. Women's (L), Boot, Full Cushion, Midweight, Hiking Sock, Denim
6. Men's (M), Over The Calf, Full Cushion, Heavyweight, Mountaineering Sock, Smoke
Despite following the manufacturer's instructions (handwashing and air drying the socks), after cca 2 seasons of irregular use (I only used these socks for hiking, and I only hike during the summer), three out of eight pairs of my socks got damaged. Back in May, I sent them to the company's warehouse in Germany and diligently followed their returns instructions. This was 6 months ago. About a month after sending the socks for an exchange I contacted the warehouse to see what's the status of the exchange and they told me that they never received my package. I have emailed them back and explained that according to my local post office, the package was successfully delivered to the following address:
Impress Markets GmbH
Hochstrasse 10
63826 Geiselbach, Germany
I have also asked them to please check again as the package should be in the warehouse. They again claimed that they did not receive the package to which I replied once again explaining that the delivery was confirmed and saying it is not possible it was not delivered. To make things worse, I have provided a return address on the package in case something goes wrong and the package doesn't get delivered, but the package was never returned to my address. After just 3 of my emails in total, they responded rudely, and told me that "We think the case is closed here." The company still claims they never received the package and my instinct tells me that's complete nonsense and just a way to bypass having to exchange the socks.
EDIT: After writing this review Trustpilot sent me an email asking for my contact as DarnTough wanted to get in touch to sort this situation out. Michelle, the CS Manager from Vermont reached out to me yesterday and apologised for the difficult experience I had with their German business partner and she also apologised that they haven’t contacted me sooner. She offered to replace the socks I had sent for replacement and said she would ensure I was issued a credit that covers my selection which was sorted out quickly. I was pleasantly surprised and I genuinely appreciated the effort taken to rectify the situation.

A Pleasure to Deal With
Great socks and customer service! The socks are amazing. I thought they were too tight, but once I had them on, they felt great. I actually bought them to go with a crazy colorful pair of German clogs and the combination is delightful. Customer service responded quickly and so politely to a question about the shipment sent amiss by the USPS--no fault of Darn Tough I learned when the package arrived.
Solid Company
Wore them on the AT trail for 2.5 months and wore a hole--but gave them a real workout so I'm not unhappy. The warranty process was simple -- so they are good for that.
Darn Rubbish
Worn out after not long smartwool socks i bought same time look as good as.
tight on the toes (correct size)
worn out on bottom and on the top

Did Darn Tough Sock try to get this review taken down?
I've been contacted by Trustpilot, Darn Tough Sock want my personal info, including name, email and phone number, Trustpilot say that if I don't provide them, they will take my review down.
If I don't provide my personal details to Darn Tough Socks, Trustpilot will remove a negative review. Hang on a minute, some people won't want to provide these details, and negative reviews will be removed. Does this not undermine the whole point of Trustpilot?
So, the socks. I bought them in Ambleside, in January 2023, at a cost of over £20. I've had them for a few months and tried them out with my winter (leather Meindl) boots and summer (fabric Salamon) boots.
They are a flat sock with little in the way of cushioning. They had a rough texture, I found that they rubbed against the ball of my foot after 3 to 4 miles.
While I was in the Lake District I also bought a pair of Eskimo Sock from the Norwegian Shop in Keswick. They were £14 and perform a whole lot better.
Darn Tough Socks, lack cushioning, are on the rough side and you can get better for less. I haven't done a long term wear test as I find them unwearable for any decent length of walk.
In my original review I gave the item 3 stars, as I took into account all the positive reviews on Trustpilot and other forums. However, in hindsight, I've decide to base my review on personal experience only, and say that I regret buying the socks, that's twenty odd quid I'll never see again.

These socks don’t wick!
I bought two pairs of Men's Boot Heavyweight Hunting Socks. They were comfortable but the socks do not wick moisture as advertised thus feet get damp and cold.
I gave them 2 Stars for socks
but 5 Stars for Customer service, delivery and return.
Most comfortable and resistant socks ever!
I have never had socks as comfortable and resistant as these. I have several pairs and only one has started to show signs of wear (after heavy use) but the advertising around the lifetime warranty is not misleading; it was very easy for me to contact the after-sales service who were quick and extremely friendly to have a new pair sent to me. The icing on the cake: I was offered the option of choosing another model if I liked it and it was not necessary to return the defective pair.
A very positive experience. The investment is totally justified! I don't think I'm going to buy any other brand of sock than Darn Tough from now on. Well done!

Great socks
Great socks, but the thinner variety has ripped for me. I know they have a guarantee on their socks, but I've just kept a pile of the ones with holes for me to one day try to get fixed.
Love the materials and they ARE quite tough, especially the thicker socks.
Holiday Shopping - Arrived Early
According to their FAQ page about Shipping, "Last day in December for estimated arrival for Christmas: December 16 (before 12PM EST) — Complimentary Shipping via USPS."
I placed an order two days before that. They created a shipping label on the 17th so I was worried it wouldn't arrive on time for the holidays. There had also been a banner message a few days later about a storm in Vermont.
Package arrived today, in time for the holidays.
Their estimated delivery times are accurate in my experience.
