log in issue

I have been using DAT for the pas 6 years, the number of fake brokers and low-rate loads have been increasing, also the load board subscription has increased as well, I ran into a situation one of my dispatchers wrongfully used my account, so they blocked my account I reached out to them and they asked me a few question and forwarded the case to so called compliance team and it took them a few days i called and told me it might take a few weeks to review the case, like seriously i have to pay the service and wait for them to reactivate my account and cannot book anything on all those days i cannot log in. BAD management

Dishonest Pratices

I’ve been using DAT for several years, and over time, I’ve seen a noticeable decline in the number of available loads—especially as larger companies have begun launching their own load boards. While the quality and quantity of loads have decreased, the subscription price has increased at least twice in the last six years.

The final straw for me came when I decided to cancel my account. Initially, the cancellation process appeared smooth. However, the next day, I was charged again. I assumed it was a simple oversight and that a quick phone call would resolve the issue. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

I was told the charge was for the previous month. This explanation doesn’t add up, as DAT operates on a prepaid model—you pay before gaining access to the load board. Their excuse was that because I paid via ACH instead of a credit card, my billing setup was “different.” That logic doesn’t sit right with me. It felt like a convenient excuse to avoid issuing a refund.

This experience has left a bad impression. In my opinion, it's dishonest to take payment in advance and then later claim it was for prior usage—especially when the service model doesn’t support that claim.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I’m moving on, but I hope others are aware of these practices before signing on.

Horrible customer service that cost us business

Our bank card had fraud so we canceled it and got a new one. DAT has a form you fill out with the new card. It kept telling us we couldn’t upload any of our cards. We would call and do exactly what they said and over a month of trying it still won’t work. They pretty much said no one in billing or accounting can go in and fix anything ( which I know isn’t true) and the form is the way it is for a reason and we wouldn’t be able to use their services anymore if we can’t get the form to work.

I paid for a subscription for two users and had my driver login to search loads using my new MC. I got banned for good, so they say because a third person who was my driver, was searching for loads. Completely innocent but they will not let me get another subscription. I had many carriers tell me after a couple months they’ll let you have a subscription but nope. Absolutely terrible company to not give another chance to a newer company that didn’t know any better.

100% Frustration

I’ve been paying DAT for 6 years. Always on time, no fuss. Then one day, I lose access to the load board. I contact support, get a nice “we’ve escalated your case” email… and then nothing. No call. No follow-up. Just radio silence.

After a week of waiting, I told them to just cancel my account and not charge me again on the 23rd like they’ve been doing for years. Still nothing. It’s like shouting into a canyon — except the canyon takes your money.
Honestly, if you enjoy being ignored and billed at the same time, DAT might be perfect for you. But if you actually expect service for your subscription, maybe look elsewhere.

1 star. Would give 0 if I could.

I am adding this text on 15, 2025 at 12:40 EST This is in response to your reply to my review: YOUR RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW IS THE SAME EMPTY NONSENSE AS BEFORE. YOU LOCKED US OUT OF OUR ACCOUNT 11 DAYS AGO, AND ACCORDING TO YOU, YOU’RE STILL “WORKING ON IT.” IF YOU CAN’T RESOLVE A LOGIN ISSUE IN 11 DAYS, JUST HOW MANY OF THESE PROBLEMS DOES DAT HAVE? ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC.

I am sorry, but there appears to have been an issue with this login. Our system has flagged this for manual review. I am connecting this information with that team, and they will be in contact with you.

We work these in the order they are received so I cannot give an ETA at this time.

After your latest update

After your latest update, after you look at a particular load and return to the search list the list starts at the beginning again each and every time. This is somewhat irritating when searching 3 or 400 loads.

Could be “Best in Class”

1rst : Allows advertising by proxy. Example: many loads posted quote a load at a good price mentioning that they will have 20 more hours n comments . No current load actually exist!

Second : DAT is about to go to the side . They could be best of breed if they “ONLY ALLOWED” posted prices !!

Freaking waste of time calling to play the game
Brokers should post all details of a load w PRICE or RATE whatever you want to call it !

It comes down to that !

Brokers seem to get off saying covered and hanging up but carriers waste lots of time on hold just to find out it’s Charity Rates !

Force Posted Rates and be the first legit “Best in Class “ load board and do not allow fake post for broker dispatch to advertise broadly for carriers w no actual current loads

Great load board BUT...

Great load board. Only drawback is they do not have a category for Sprinter van loads. They have this on the mobile app but for some reason they will not include it on the desktop version. Having a Sprinter category would eliminate extra steps for both broker and carrier. The straight box category does not work because cargo vans are not dock high. That is the only thing that takes away from DAT efficiency.

Not transparent like other broker app…

Not transparent like other broker app which shows all pick up and delivery address and companies name . You only get to know after booking a load and sometimes brokers trap carrier and don’t pay for hassle
