Just been charged £23 more than quoted even though the car was half an hour late arriving for the pick-up. Feel totally ripped off and won’t be using them again. No option to pay by card so had to make an unexpected trip to the cashpoint as well.

This is the second time they have messed up a home pick up for an airport drop off. Here’s an idea data cars don’t accept bookings if you don’t have the staff.
They wanted me to wait 40 mins after already waiting 20 mins for a car to arrive. And then they tried to charge me for cancelling. Disgusting!!
Call centre not UK based either so the people at other end of line can’t do anything and have zero power they just say stuff to appease.

Worst cab service ever
I wish there was an option to put 0 star. Absolutely atrocious service. It’s a nightmare. Please do not ever book. They will come late and then ask you to pay more and the cars are pathetic. I kept on telling the driver to close t e window, even when it’s raining he refuses to close. Overall I wish the company closes before they cheat other customers.

20:29 - further WhatsApp message to give details of a different car
Shortly after, received a call from the driver saying he'd be 8 minutes; no problem
20:48 - received WhatsApp message giving details of the original car again
20:57 - received a text cancelling the car.
No responses to WhatsApp messages or text.
Ordered an Uber - there in 3 minutes.

Ruined wedding transport
I have never come across a worse company. I booked cabs to take wedding guests to a venue and booked them, without exaggeration, six weeks beforehand. I had several confirmation emails and at least half a dozen phone calls..they didn't turn up and one was assigned a driver when I called to ask where they were. we had to get ubers. please don't use these people or if you do expect to be disappointed. I don't want to waste any more time on this company and I suggest that you don't.
Absolutely appalling
Absolutely appalling. I booked and paid for a taxi to east Croydon station to catch a train to Gatwick Airport. I had a confirmation text and email. It didn’t arrive and when I called they said oh we don’t go as far out as Croydon. They had accepted the booking and no one bothered to tell me!? Nearly missed the plane. Awful, don’t use.

He called me to let me know that my cab was outside. No good morning No form of curtesy, grunted at me rather than spoke to me like a decent human being he then hung up the phone.
When I got into the cab I expressed to him that I thought he was quite rude to me on the phone. By his body language I could tell he wanted to argue then he thought better if it.
As a disabled woman with mobility issues and drives their own car (my car was in the garage that day) I didn’t mind him driving fast but he was going to fast over the humps which would have caused me pain and discomfort so I kindly asked him if he could go slower over the humps. He argued that he was only driving at 26mph.
Even though he was in a 20 mph zone.
He than pulled his car over and proceeded to ask me to leave his vehicle which RAC Motobility had paid for.
I then got out of his vehicle and unfortunately took the bus which was horrendous for my Back issues.
Obviously his day started off badly or maybe that’s his normal demeanour.
Some people should not work in the public sector.
This man had an attitude the moment he ran my phone until I left his car 10 mins into my journey.
I had no intentions of arguing with someone that is so ill mannered & uncouth, my health is more important than arguing with an immigrant cab driver.

Worst cab service ever. They pretend they’re coming then when you call and say where are you they say 30 mins away. I’m done with data cars. They’re RUBBISH. This has happened 7 times at least.
Don't use
Awful company. Booked a taxi with a drop off, when the taxi arrived the driver was extremely aggressive and as three women we were actually quite scared. The driver said he hadn't been told about the drop off and so refused to do it unless we swicthe dto the meter after being told we were on a fixed fare. The meter was much more expensive than the agreed price. Then when I paid the driver he purposely gave me change in shrapnel to be extra rude (I could see he had notes and pound coins available) I was genuinely so concerned at one point that I had to video record the driver as he was being so agressive. I was told a manager would call me back in the morning and this never happenned so I submitted a request for call back on the webiste which also never happened. I called up in the daytime and was told I could not speak to anyone who could help. I would say avoid this service at all cost.

No reply, no refund atrocious customer service
Taxi booked but 3 days before due to travel I fell and broke my arm. I booked by app and therefore cancelled on the app. The day I was due in the UK, at 2am I received 3 phone calls asking where I was and when I explained the situation I was told they hadn't received any cancellation and the driver had gone all the way to the airport for the pick up. I have 3 emails I have sent including their customer complaints Sept with no response and 5 phone calls so far with promises of a call back but after 2 weeks, no contact. I am still waiting for a refund as I'm 87 years old and cannot afford to lose this money. I'm going to UK later on this year but will have 2nd thoughts about using this company. They're definitely making money somewhere as they have kept my money (a full tank of petrol) I paid and it didn't cost them that to go to Gatwick. It's after sales/complaints procedures are atrocious.
Totally UNRELIABLE pre-book service
Totally UNRELIABLE!! The booking in advance service is a joke; taxis don’t show and when you call DaraCars to enquire, they ask you to wait further (20min or more) while they find drivers. What’s the point of the prebook service then? Save yourself a headache an book with someone else.
Dishonest company, avoid at all costs
I had booked datacars for the first time to pick me up from Gatwick airport. The driver overcharged me by 150% more than the initial quote given on the app. Also asked me to pay for airport parking on top. I volunteered to pay a bit extra to just get this over with, however the driver became aggressive and started altercation in the middle of the street. Very dishonest company, bordering on fraud. Avoid at all costs.

Had a taxi booked for 11.25pm and although my flight was delayed the driver was still over 40 minutes late. Their excuse was that the driver took a job in north london when my job was in South. No help from head office as call centre based out of UK and when i did speak to Head office in UK they palm it off on the self employed driver and take no responsibility. Avoid Data Cars at all costs
Appalling service - DO NOT USE
This company’s customer service is a disgrace. I had never used them before - and unbelievably they were recommended to me - and had high expectations. Upon being picked up at Gatwick Airport late at night, I found my driver parked underneath the car park and my journey home began. After a few minutes, the driver started mumbling something about the fare not having been paid. I advised I had paid in advance (this is the only way you can do it). He said something under his breath about car parking fees but then went quiet so I assumed all was okay. When we arrived at my home near midnight, the driver very abruptly turned to me and said ‘Now you must pay for the parking, five pounds’. I told him that at no point had this ever been mentioned when booking. I said if I had to pay to reimburse him I would but I had no cash on me as I hadn’t been told I would need it. The driver became extremely aggressive and started shouting at me. I told him I was an honourable person and would pay him the next day if I could arrange via Data Cars. Shouting at me in the street outside my house (at midnight) he said ‘I’ve driven 23 miles from my home to bring you here. You think you are better than anyone else’. I was quite shaken up by how aggressive and loud he had become and was actually slightly fearful that he might actually become physically violent. He threw my case out of the boot, shouting rudely as he returned to his car. I rushed to my front door and got in. This was not the return home I had envisaged after a holiday abroad. To add insult to injury, I called the customer complaints line at Data Cars and was advised I was hear from someone ‘the next working day’. Monday was a Bank Holiday so I thought someone would contact me today. Of course not. I have called the company three times and each time they give different advice and keep making empty promises that someone will contact me at some point. This was a truly terrible experience with the driver and the company have not shown a single ounce of regret or offered me an apology - or even bothered to call me back. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Illegal driving
Driver was speeding at over 50mph in a 30 residential area. I have video of speeding. He went through red lights - knowingly... He was also on the phone several times. Car was also dirty. Only used Data cars once before. That was a similar experience.
