My main challenge was figuring out how to transition from being an employee to becoming an independent consultant.

I had spent my whole career working as an employee, so it was hard for me to think about how to structure and organize myself to make such a big transition with as much confidence and stability as possible.

Data Freelancer gave me a step-by-step plan for everything I needed to do to make that jump. I followed the plan, executed it step by step without overthinking too much, and was able to start working from day one by leveraging my existing network and contacts.

That helped me land my first paid projects, handle negotiations, and create my own way of presenting myself professionally, especially through my website.

The feedback I received during the live sessions was also extremely valuable, and being able to rely on the community made the whole process feel much more supported and less isolated.

More than anything, Data Freelancer helped me get clear on the key things I needed to think through when starting this new business, so I wouldn’t leave any loose ends behind.

So I didn't even finish the program.. opportunities started coming in faster than I could keep up and I just ran with them! Take that as you will :)

What I got from the Data Freelancer program was a mindset shift, the tools, and the network! Finding your niche, building inbound systems that fit you (either LinkedIn, YouTube, whatever works for you), learning how to position yourself and go after the right jobs!

Nobody hands you anything though.. you show up, you do the work. Like anything worth doing! Now, the difference is that you're surrounded by ambitious people in AI and data who are actually building stuff, and that energy rubs off on you! Opportunities flow through the network too, which helps when you've put in the effort ;)

The biggest thing for me is that it opened up how I see opportunities altogether. Not just freelancing, but starting products, engaging with people I normally wouldn't approach, seeing possibilities I didn't know were there. My whole field of vision got wider.

Before joining, I felt that my growth at my company had reached a ceiling. I knew I had the potential to do much more than what a standard 9-to-5 allowed, but I didn’t have a clear path to make that transition. I wanted to start something of my own, but I wasn’t sure how to turn my skills into a consistent freelance business.

I can't recommend enough datafreelance program.

When i first joined Data Freelancer, i realized i'm probably the youngest person out there tbh haha. But obviously that's why its very exciting as well since most people that joins Data Freelancer are transitioning from a full-time job to Freelancing while i myself if from beeing a student to Freelancing and avoid that full-time job which i think is more pressure for me. After several months, it finally paid off and was really happy with the result. Obviously, it's still the begining and the next months will be even better obviously :).

The Course content here is top-level, everything i need to get started and i do think that people that join even from 0 experience in freelancing could achieve greatness here. Recommended to anyone with true passion.

I've been freelancing for 6+ years. I was on $50/hour for the last 3 years and struggling to level up. I even started a gig at $75/hour and got fired after a month... oops.

I knew I needed some structure and support. And that's exactly what you get with Data Freelancer.

After 2 months in the course, I'm now fully booked at $125/hour. I said I'd attribute anything over $100/hour earnings towards DF. So, I'm making an extra ~$4000 per month thanks to their support. For sure, one of the projects I'm doing, I would not have been able to do without DF's help (specifically the genai-launchpad which provides the much needed MLOps infra we can use for all projects).

I'll be honest, I haven't done the video course. It's more geared towards beginners. But there are several more experienced guys in the group too and I know if I have more advanced level questions, they are welcome and answered.

Dave is super helpful. The community isn't massive, so he really does have time to help you if you need/want it. I know if something goes terribly wrong on a project, I'll be able to get support. Having that safety net makes it much easier to reach for bigger projects, talk more confidently in sales calls and do cooler, more impactful work!
